On our last trip to Westport we promised ourselves we'd stay in these cottages, as they look so charming from the marina docks. We now know they are just as charming on the inside. One of the more perfect places we've stayed. Everything is clean, cosy, rustic, and modern, all at once. You can lie in bed and watch the fishing boats come in and throw fish to the sealions! We also accidentally had two cabins booked instead of one, and they were quick to communicate with us and figure out how to fix it. Nice people and great customer service!
Great weekend spent around Westport! The cottages are located right by the water, beach, Westport Lighthouse Trail and short walk to the Westport promenade filled with shops, restaurants and bars. The cottages are small and cute, but inside they are very adorably set up with wooden floor & falls, tasteful art and pictures, beautiful fireplace, jetted tub located by the windows overlooking the Westport marina and promenade, comfy bed, full kitchen, tv and other. Very cozy and clean! Wi-Fi is spotty, works best outside of the cottage. Firepit with stack of wood can be found outside of the cottages. Will stay again!
Hands down, the only place to stay when you visit Westport and the surrounding area. Nicest staff upon arrival to amazing spot to camp out (camping spot on beautiful mowed grass) with picnic table and fire pit. Last minute Memorial Day weekend trip- late eve arrival- expected to find nothing and they made it happen! Beach is a 4min walk away too- added bonus, for sure. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning soon!
Rented a charming cottage for the January king tide. A cozy place to retreat to after a windy day of photography. Furnished with everything I needed, with an excellent view of the marina. Very easy check-in, and guest services was very responsive to my questions. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay and can't wait to return! The little cottage had everything we needed. Close to walking trails, the beach, restaurants and the state park. We want to return and bring our whole family!
I would definitely recommend a stay here. Cute cabins, walkable to downtown Westport and of course right on the beach and marina. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and a fun stay. Loved the decor and how quite it was.
We spent 2 nights at the Westport Marina Cottages (#17) for my birthday. Even though it rained 99% of the time (not unusual for January) the cottage was warm and cozy. Loved the warmth of the "fire", and unlike a lot of hotels, we had more than enough electrical outlets. We found that the WiFi worked as well as T-Mobile did, so we didn't have much problem with that. The bath salts for the jetted tub was a very nice touch! Housekeeping left a bag of extra towels and TP on our "porch", another nice touch! I loved the spaciousness of the cottage and it was super clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. One note, I think there was something missing on the coffee maker, as the water just poured through one spot, making a very weak cup of coffee. I didn't say anything because it was only two mornings plus not sure how quickly housekeeping could get there during Covid. I would have given this review an "excellent", except for the problem with the coffee maker, the couch cushions were extremely saggy (felt like we'd go down to the floor when we sat), and it would have been nice to have black-out shades or blinds because there are lights on all night in the marina. Being a light sleeper, I found the light all night a bit distracting. Overall this is a very nice place, and one I would definitely consider again.…
We stayed in cottage 10, with a marina view and jetted tub. The cottage was immaculate and cozy, perfect for a couple. View was great over the commercial marina and waterfront strip on the other side. Easy walk to downtown & the viewing tower. Negatives: A big storm raged on our second day and water seeped in under the door; bed was very soft with a soft foam topper on the mattress; and the unit would benefit from adding one more floor or tabletop lamp: we had to keep moving the one lamp from the sofa area to the dining room table. I would definitely come again, and be sure to ask for a marina view unit; the units on the other side of the court would be much less picturesque with no view.
We booked 2 cottages facing the marina. The Cottages were immaculately cleaned. In one (18) one of the blankets on the daybed had an obvious stain so we took it off and set it aside. In Cottage 7, the cable in the main area wasn't connected to the TV. Once I re-connected it, it was kind of loose. You had to fiddle with it a bit to get the picture to come on. Also, in Cottage 7, one of the lights by the bed had a broken switch so we couldn't use it. All in all, I'd stay here again. Can't beat the view! NOTE: They do have no contact COVID procedures in place as the main office is not open.
The cottages are in an excellent location, particularly for walks and exploring. Ours was extraordinarily clean and well-equipped. The housekeeping staff were also top-notch. But, as a previous reviewer also noted, there were a few things that kept this from being 5 stars from us. The wifi situation is a bit of a mess. I read the feedback to earlier reviews suggesting the guest contact the office for help. Frankly, that shouldn't need to happen. It should just be on and work, but it didn't. There wasn't a clear idea of which network to connect to. When we found the one the password worked with, we had service for a total of about five minutes throughout our two-night stay. Fortunately, wifi wasn't necessary to make our stay enjoyable, but it was a nuisance nonetheless. Tangentially, their web address doesn't link to any site. With direct booking not available, I booked through Priceline, which wasn't clear about the number of people I reserved for. I emailed the hotel to clarify, but never received an answer. The 4pm check-in time is late. I understand these units have kitchens and dishes, but I'm not sure why they couldn't offer a 3pm check-in. I'd echo some earlier concerns about the bed. I'm sure it's perfect for some, but I found it very soft and sagged toward the middle. All that said, we were happy enough with our stay, it'd just be nice to see them tie up some of these loose ends that are just nagging enough to take away from the experience.…
