The Cottages proved to be a truly wonderful place to relax and unwind after a few difficult months. We stayed in a marina view cottage where we enjoyed watching the weather move across the sky, the boats rocking in the water, the seals making their way around the docks and the lights of the Main Street twinkling at night. The cottages are comfortable with a partial kitchen (two burners and microwave, no oven), a great bed and nice location. The housekeepers graciously checked in every day to insure we had everything we needed. One thing that would make this a 5-star review would be replacing the trundle bed with a sofa sleeper. With just two of us and one easy chair, the trundle bed was the second place to sit (besides the dining table). It was not terribly comfortable, but with lots of pillows, we made it work. This was our second stay at the Cottages and we will definitely return.

Stayed in 2 cabins (5&8) as we couldn’t get same room two nights in a row (last minute reservation didn’t help🙂).
#5 had queen in bedroom, double in living room, 8 had queen in bedroom, trundle in living room (set up as a day bed twin, could pull out additional twin for more space.
Bottom line, it is a very nice set up, basically a studio cabin with an additional bedroom. A little pricey for the area, but for what you get, I thought it was good value overall.
Small kitchen and dining area, dishes for four. Bring your own food, drinks, spices, etc. Community grill is pretty central. Location overlooking the marina for most cabins provides a view of the boats, charter activity, and the main waterfront street in Westport.
We were there for two days of charter fishing and had to be on the boat by 5:45. It took exactly 5 minutes door to boat to drive over, park and walk on the boat. If you need to stop in to get your license, check in, or grab any last minute items you will need to be there before 5:30 for sure.
Having the full fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee maker (although they really could benefit by upgrading their coffee supplier) was great for a multi day trip. Brought sandwich fixings, drinks, snack for the boat; breakfast was quick and easy to grab, and we had late night snacks to go with the single malt.
Staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone, checked with us each day to make sure we were good (covid distancing and no touch service meant office was vacant, but help was nearby if needed).
We dropped our fish off at Merino’s, hit a local eatery, then stayed in the cabin to recap and relax.
JFYI, parking for cabin 5 is a tight, parallel space for a decent size truck (F150 SCREW wouldn’t fit) and they do have a few open spots on the property to use in that case.

This time we were in cabin 12 and the internet has greatly improved, it is still slow in the evening and sometimes drops off, but a vast improvement.
The decor in cabin 12 is not as nice as some of the others, it is very simple.
You have 4 of everything, dishes, cups, forks etc. There are no large pots in this unit either so be sure to pack one if you want to boil your crabs.
The tides and swells were very high this trip so crabbing in the marina was not great, we got only 3 dugeness and 4 rock crabs in 3-days.
The giant swells caused something new when the waves came over the breaker wall infront of the motel and flodded the only street. So we were trapped in the cabin by two feet of water 1 hr before high tide and 3 hours after each day.
For some reason they have stopped giving a welcome glass of wine at checkin, which dissapointed us after our 4-hr drive to get there.
In the past we have been able to simply call the hotel and ask for the best rate, the new girl said she cant do that and quoted $450 for two nights. We went on hotels.com and got it for $236...

I was pleasantly surprised with the service we received at the resort...and following safety COVID guidelines! The cottage was well appointed and equipped with amenities and they left a bag of fresh towels and cleaning products each day on our porch! I can’t wait to come back...this is going to be an annual destination!

My husband and I just returned from two nights at the Westport Marina Cottages and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With an excellent cancellation policy, location right on the marina, walking distance to restaurants and shops in town, and a very reasonable price compared to what we were seeing for other rentals, we booked Cabin No. 9. Making reservations could not have been easier. I was able to speak with a real person for starters. No setting up accounts, uploading photos of myself or communicating on line. Those who helped me make the reservations could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. I could feel the smiles coming through the phone. The cottage was absolutely spotless, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage has plenty of windows with spectacular views of the marina. The windows are screened for nice night breezes. Quiet hours, assured a good night's sleep.
We watched the fishing and charter boats coming and going, as well as seals, seagulls, and pelicans. I grew quite attached to our little cottage.

The cottages have either a marine or an ocean view. We chose an ocean view and were not disappointed. You fall asleep with the roar of the waves and wake to same. Sunrises are glorious! These cottages are centrally located in the marine district and are an easy walk to town and the viewing tower. Our cottage had a microwave, dishwasher, two burner stovetop, small Keurig style coffee machine, dishes, flatware, cups, glasses, pots/pans, knives and just about everything we needed for our stay. I say “just about” because what I thought it lacked was a broom and dustpan to collect the sand that invariably tracks in with you after a day on the beach. Imagine my surprise when I found one in the coat closet on our last day. Not soon enough to keep the sand out of our bed but now I know for next time, and there will be a next time.
Each check in, easy check out, pleasant cleaning people. I can’t say the location is quiet with road noise from the plant next door, seals barking, birds calling, boats motoring by and all that is associated with a fishing village but that is what you’d expect to experience. The walking trails are ADA accessible and have unobstructed views of the Pacific. It was a wonderful experience and we’ll return again.

We spent 2 nights at the Westport Marina Cottages (#17) for my birthday. Even though it rained 99% of the time (not unusual for January) the cottage was warm and cozy. Loved the warmth of the "fire", and unlike a lot of hotels, we had more than enough electrical outlets. We found that the WiFi worked as well as T-Mobile did, so we didn't have much problem with that. The bath salts for the jetted tub was a very nice touch! Housekeeping left a bag of extra towels and TP on our "porch", another nice touch!
I loved the spaciousness of the cottage and it was super clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. One note, I think there was something missing on the coffee maker, as the water just poured through one spot, making a very weak cup of coffee. I didn't say anything because it was only two mornings plus not sure how quickly housekeeping could get there during Covid.
I would have given this review an "excellent", except for the problem with the coffee maker, the couch cushions were extremely saggy (felt like we'd go down to the floor when we sat), and it would have been nice to have black-out shades or blinds because there are lights on all night in the marina. Being a light sleeper, I found the light all night a bit distracting.
Overall this is a very nice place, and one I would definitely consider again.

On our last trip to Westport we promised ourselves we'd stay in these cottages, as they look so charming from the marina docks. We now know they are just as charming on the inside. One of the more perfect places we've stayed. Everything is clean, cosy, rustic, and modern, all at once. You can lie in bed and watch the fishing boats come in and throw fish to the sealions! We also accidentally had two cabins booked instead of one, and they were quick to communicate with us and figure out how to fix it. Nice people and great customer service!

We spent a week staying at various places between Cannon Beach, OR and Westport. Staying at Westport Marina Cottages Motel was the best experience we had all week. The cottages were extremely comfortable. We heard no noise from cottages on either side of us so we slept wonderfully. Cottage was equipped with everything including unexpected extras such as 2 TV's, a beautiful fireplace, amazing decor and plenty of room compared to some hotels we stayed at. They are also pet friendly! Being able to overlook the marina and walk the docks talking to the skippers and deckhands was so much fun. The places we ate at served wonderul food and a great quantity of it as well. The gift shops at Westport were better than any others we went to on our road trip. Cant wait to go again next year and we plan on staying longer!!!

When we turned onto the road to the cottages I was very skeptical at first, but first impressions are deceptive. The location is great and the grounds are very well maintained. Even though check-in was via text message, it was very nice because you get a personal and very friendly response straight away. In general, the customer service is great! There was a problem with our credit card and everyone tried very hard to find a solution.
The cottages are not brand new, but they are well equipped and very clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The only thing you can skip is the ocean view. You can only see the sea through the pier if you are sitting on the high chairs on the terrace, and even then it is more of a glimpse. The harbor view cottages really look directly out onto the harbor. It is probably a bit louder, but the view is definitely more exciting!

Hi,
Yes we're happy to apply a discount of 5%, as long as it was not booked thru an outside agency or if you already had a discounted rate or special.
~ Cindy - Front Desk Receptionist
The front desk lady said pets ok! I inquired about my mastiff and she said yes, I'd guess cats ok if big dogs ok!
Plenty of room. But you might call them. This is for asking for general questions. We have a whippet mix and he had lots of room and the facility has greenspace to walk them
As the other replies, just my husband and I, although our cottage had a separate bedroom and a pull out bed in the living room. Call to get the extra bed, but this makes the room very small. They may have a bigger room.
Yes, unfortunately it is tongue and groove cedar.
