My girlfriend and I had a fabulous stay with Sandy and Bill. Sandy's attention to detail is awesome, she has everything covered and if you need anything els she has it in a jiffy. Bill is an icon in the Smoke Jumper world, and we had a great time listening to his stories and learning from his vast experience. Together they are an awesome couple and will make you feel right at home. Their place is easy to get to, wonderfully comfortable, and the setting is really great. We sat out on the porch at night and watched several deer, a family of 20+ turkeys, and after dark, a magnificent star show. If you're looking for a great getaway for some downtime, it's here.
Clean and cozy room, beautiful location, hospitable and helpful hosts, delicious breakfast. Very reasonably priced. The walls were not very soundproof--we could hear others pretty clearly in the adjacent space. But we had a lovely stay and would certainly come back.
My wife and I spent a night celebrating our anniversary and were treated with a special, personal experience from both Bill and Sandy. Accommodations were very nice and clean while the hosts were very personable with so much knowledge of the area. We'll be back and have told so many about this great getaway!
We (Mr, Mrs + one young toddler) stayed here for one night, driving from Seattle, to catch the Balloon Festival. We managed to get our timing completely wrong as the baloons didn't fly that morning, but that disappointment was more than compensated by the warmth that this B&B provided, especially after meeting Bill and Sandy who accompanied us during Breakfast. The kid had a lot of fun and took a liking to the place. We really enjoyed the personal touch of love and care evident in the place. Wish you guys the very best. Hope to come here again some other year and actually get to see the balloons :)
We LOVE Methow Suites! And now we're in love with the town of Twisp! Bill and Sandy are two of the best hosts you can ever have at a B&B. Their knowledge of the Methow Valley, Twisp, and the people of Twisp is unparalleled. Ask them to talk a little bit about Bill's career as a smoke jumper - and you'll have some fascinating stories! Every breakfast was amazing, featuring local fare, and recipes passed down for at least a generation (or three). It was so special to come home to the mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and evening snacks that Sandy left out for us throughout the day. Their house was immaculate, and well designed for a B&B. The beds were comfortable (making for perfect night-time sleepy-time), the chairs were very "loungy" (making for perfect day-time sleepy-time), and the carpet felt good under the toes, especially after a long day skiing the Loup! The living space was comfy/cozy with amazing panoramic views of the valley. We came in the winter (with 18" of snow on the ground), and couldn't really take advantage of the deck which afforded even better views - but that gives us a reason to come back in the summer! But... because there were 18" of snow on the ground - their driveway/street made for possibly one of the best sledding hills in the land - one which our children spent hours on every day. Twisp and the surrounding areas had so many fun things to do: skiing (the Loup - only 20 minutes away), ice-skating, sledding, and was walking distance to town. The town of Twisp is a surprising gem that blew us away. You have to go to the Glover Street Market and check out its amazing downstairs wine-cellar with tastings on Saturday. The Methow Suites is a wonderful B&B that we can't wait to visit in each of the other three seasons (next stop - Spring!) Thank you Bill & Sandy for a great time!…
