This place was pretty remote. Seemed like a place where people came to fish mostly. It wasn't a real touristy place but had a great local flavor. Would not really call it a resort in the traditional sense; was more like vacation rentals with a boat launch area. We stayed at the Captains Quarters for the night, overlooking the water... More

My family and I are regulars at Summertide! We camp with our travel trailer at other places but consider this home. So much so we extended our stay two months! The people are awesome! Crabbing, kayaking , boating, clamming, socializing or peaceful days on the beach or dock! Can't wait to get back!

We just spent a week in the small RV Park at this resort. VERY disappointing. All but 2 of the sites are occupied by full-time residents. 2 of the residents have dogs that bark 80% of the time. As I write this, on thankfully our last day at this place, one of the dogs, chained outside the resident's rig is... More

We have been coming back to Summertide with our friends and they're kids for 6 or 7yrs now. It is our annual vacation in August. We stay in the Admirals Quarters and have watched it morph over the years into a very clean and accommodating unit. The deck over the water is great for meals, and watching the sunsets. We... More

I've traveled the world and never felt more at home that at Summertide. Amazing host, fun locals, peaceful beyond your imagination. Its a nice peaceful drive that will leave you in an amazing place. Get your groceries before you go and just enjoy. They have a great store for anything you forget. The campfires are great. All in all it... More

I can't imagine that you can get closer to experiencing the Hood Canal I knew in the 1950s than this. My wife and I spent the past few days there during shrimp season with Summertide's fun and friendly Bev and her crew. Stare into the crystal clear waters that are so full of life, smell the salt air, feel the... More

Summertide Resort. We wanted to have a family Christmas on the water on Hood Canal and decided to stay Summertide Resort in Tahula. What a great idea! The charm of the place took us over the moment we drove there from Belfair WA. It is about 18 miles out of town but well worth the drive. The road hugs the... More

Between work and vacation travel I have probably had 1500 hotel nights in the past 15 years. The Summertide is the best experience we have had. When you drive up with car and boat, and the owner, Bev, greets you with your name, and gives you a hug, you know it is going to be a good stay. The units... More

KIds has a ball. Rooms were very clean and were fully furnished. Lots to do. Crabbing, oysters and clams. Rooms are right on the water. Wish I brought my fishing pole as a guy just brought in two King salmon (12 and 24 pounds). I think the call him the "Salmon Killer".

While we didn't actually get a chance to stay in the resort, we did have plenty of opportunity to use many of its services and get to know the owners. This is a terrific group of people who truly understand the importance and value of 'customer service." We arrived "consumers" and are now leaving feeling like "family." We will plan... More
