Beautiful inn, lovingly restored by the owners. Charming, comfortable, with water views and easy walking to restaurants and more. The owners themselves are also most welcoming and helpful. And the morning scones...mouth watering. There’s a lot more to Tacoma than we realized. And Chinaberry Hill, while great on Its own, is an ideal base from which to explore. Couldn’t recommend it more enthusiastically.
I couldn’t go back to 1999 but I stayed here with my fiancé and the owners were awesome and friendly. I’d definitely go back. The views and the rooms were gorgeous. The food was great as well. I wish I still lived in the area
We were in town for a family event and chose to stay at Chinaberry Hill. Was an amazing experience - lovely hosts, so welcoming, cozy, comfortable. Felt like being at home. Love the location, the peaceful area, walking distance to good restaurants, comfy bed, and the best muffins I have ever had. Really wonderful stay and can't wait for the next time.
To begin, our hosts were warm and welcoming. Beverly, a native of the area, and her husband, Andy, provided background and history of the inn and were more than happy to suggest ideas for outings. We stayed in the Bay Room with a view of Commencement Bay. The room was well appointed with a Jacuzzi in an extended lounge. More of a suite than just a room. We enjoyed coffee on the wrap around porch before starting our day. A great view of Mt. Rainier can be had from the porch on a clear day. The Chinaberry Hill Inn provided us with an incredible experience. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful Victorian inn. We'll be staying here again!
I stayed at this wonderful, historic home July 29-31. I was very pleased with my accommodations. The room was lovely, with everything I needed. The location was great for walking and exploring the Stadium District of Tacoma. The hosts were just outstanding in their hospitality and made me feel right at home. I would highly recommend this place!
This place is a great find! Stayed in the comfy garden room with all the amenities: private bath, internet, t.v. Beautiful house with big front porch, perfect place to drink coffee & watch the boats in the harbor.
We have stayed at the Chinaberry Hill twice for about 4 nights each time and both times we were quite impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the house, the charm of the individual rooms, and by the friendly and welcoming owners. In the summer, three of us stayed in the spacious Carriage suite, which provided great comfort and privacy, and a unique cottage-like décor. The suite also has a very comfortable and welcoming Jacuzzi tub that added to a truly enjoyable stay. Needing to visit Tacoma again, two of us returned to the Chinaberry Hill in the Spring and stayed in the Pantages Suite, where we were blown away by the luxury, beauty and comfort of the room. We again truly enjoyed the beautiful jacuzzi and the amazing view of the bay from the room. One of the most enjoyable parts of our visits to this Inn has been the interaction with the owners that go out of their way to make you feel at home. The care and love for their property is admirable and unique, and it has surely been a pleasure to stay at their beautiful property when we visit Tacoma as guests. We highly recommend this B&B and can't wait to visit again!!…
Such an amazing B&B. We loved it. Very clean and extremely cosy Victorian house, lovely couple running it, both very caring. Definitely highly recommended. Very short distance to all amenities, shops & restaurants. The area where this B&B is located is absolutely stunning
We stayed two warm Tacoma nights in early September in the Carriage House, Hayloft Suite. It was cool, clean and comfortable. We found the house wonderfully decorated and nicely kept. It was a great value and close to downtown Tacoma. The kitchen is recently remodeled - no breakfast - but it's a quick walk to several nice places and coffee is on early for those who don't get started without it. The owners were solicitous and kind. Check or cash only, no cards. We'll definitely go back and stay when we visit our daughter.
