House is amazing and very tidy. People who run it are awesome as well. I didn't have breakfast there, but I am sure it would have been great. Neighborhood and location are nice. Stuff to eat and drink is within a 1/2 mile or so from the house.
My stay at the Branch Colonial House for 3 days and two nights in mid July 2018 was so wonderful. Robin, my host, was helpful, charming and extremely giving. My room was upgraded at no cost to me (even though my reserved room was very pleasant) and I was able to check in earlier than planned. The house is beautiful and the breakfast on both days was outstanding. I was 5 minutes from my workshop that I attended at UPS and parking was easy. I would highly recommend the Branch Colonial House to anyone and will definitely stay here again!
We debated about staying in Tacoma because we had heard it wasn’t quite up to the level Seattle offers. However we are so glad we did!!! We wish we had planned to stay longer because this bed-and-breakfast was in a beautiful part of town with nice views out onto the water. Wonderful old home with massive trees. The rooms have nice private baths and large common area downstairs. The host, Robin, couldn’t have been more accommodating. She’s a delightful person and very helpful with ideas of places to go and things to see in the area. And not a bad cook!! They have a great patio with lights strung across, and a wonderful big porch on the front where you can just sit and enjoy coffee or cocktail. We stayed six nights between Portland and Seattle and this was our favorite place!
Wish we had more time here. We will be back to use the tub, robes and fire pit area. Very neat house and i dont just mean tidy! Place is big , bed was comfy, baccon was perfect. For our first B & B it was great! Talking with another guest book through the Branch site directly. Robin was quick with her responses and this place is close to the water front on Rustin way, and the downtown area. If your ubering most places are less the $7 at non peak times. Plenty of parking and it was nice to have wine waiting for us in our room. We did not request it it was just a surprise.
Just returned from Puget Sound's graduation and fell in love with the Branch Colonial House, and its wonderful host, Robin. Each room is spacious and charming, with its own bath. Robin is a fabulous cook which created a fun breakfast environment each morning, and we very much enjoyed getting to know the other guests staying there. Can't imagine ever staying in hotel in Tacoma again after the experience of being a part of the beautiful neighborhood and close to so many amenities. For folks coming to visit Puget Sound, its ideal, given proximity to campus, Old Town, the waterfront, etc. Can't recommend it highly enough.
