We stayed with Jane and Skip in April 2022 when we visited University of Puget Sound for admitted student day. We stayed in the Green Gable Room which is perfect for a couple with a child. Our son slept in the single bed in the nook while we slept in the queen bed in the main bedroom. Everything was neat and clean. The room is light and airy and very quiet. The home is a truly beautiful Victorian, and I could have spent days looking at all the decor! Skip and Jane are very kind and friendly hosts, happy to chat but not intrusive at all. They were flexible with our arrival time, we arrived after 10 pm, and with giving us a slightly early breakfast at 8 am. Breakfast was simple but delicious. They accommodated my husband who is vegan. Highly highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Tacoma and you are ok with climbing stairs and parking your car on the street.

We stayed for three nights while attending a wedding on Vashon Island. Skip and Jane are delightful hosts and we enjoyed our morning chats over coffee. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was fantastic each day (eggs one day, french toast another, then crepes). Jane double-checked with us (and others) on any dietary restrictions and set up breakfast accordingly for each individual. It is as Victorian a house as one can find, full of period furniture and trinkets galore to keep you busy just checking out each room.

Jane went above and beyond for us as our flight was delayed so we could not make our first night. I called and let her know that we wouldn't arrive until the next morning. Since it was after the official time to cancel the room, I was already planning to pay for the night since they did not have time to re-book, but she wouldn't charge me for it. Then, after we decided to stay an extra night, she re-arranged rooms so that we could stay in our same room even though it had already been booked by someone else. Just little things that made the trip great.

I have traveled to Seattle a number of times but never had spent any real time in Tacoma. The town has really blossomed over the past decade, losing a lot of the industrial nature. The streets around the inn are very walkable and we enjoyed getting up early and perusing the neighborhood and then heading up to Point Defiance Park and over to Vashon. The ferry is only 10 minutes away.

An enjoyable stay and definitely would stay again if we are back that way.

I stayed here for two nights while my condo was being renovated and I wish it would have been longer.
Beautiful Victorian house located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by a beautiful garden, the owners are friendly, kind and very accommodating people.
My room was inviting, warm, mattress firm with excellent linnens & all the amenities you'll find in any 1st class hotel except that this B & B has a beautiful history and so many antiques from the period it was build!
All rooms are located in the 2nd floor with inside bathroom except for mine the bathroom was at the end of the short hallway very spacious with a gorgeous clawfoot tub with all the amenities you could possibly need.
Breakfast was delicious but if you like to wonder around is walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, Pantages & Rialto Theater.
If you ever in town this is the place to stay for a quiet and relaxing night!

My daughter and I were here for college tours. The house was lovely and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were perfect for us, and the food delicious. I would totally stay here again! The stairs were a little narrow, but we were able to get our bags up without trouble.

Jane and Skip are kind and friendly hosts. I love the Alice room on 3rd floor! They took me for a tour of the rest of the Victorian home. It is a museum within itself!
I highly recommend a stay. It is reasonably priced for all the amenities, comfy, safe.
The neighborhood is lovely and I was able to walk to many locations, which is highly desirable in my book. I am encouraging family members to book reservations here when they visit Tacoma.

wanted to share an experience that I had with Jane the owner of the Geiger. On February 8th the Seattle area was hit very hard by a catastrophic snow storm. Jane called me the following day to check to see if I would be coming down. Well, it was a whole calamity-and the concert was finally cancelled at the last minute! Hotel.com refused to refund the money, but not the inn keeper. I received a refund with several days. Thank you so much for your willingness to work with me. Jane was willing to help out anyway she could! I will never forget her kindness.

This house and the gracious couple who run it, Jane and Skip, are treasures! The house is amazing -- Built in 1889 and lovingly restored by this lovely couple, I can't think of a more magical place to stay in. Had I known how comfortable the beds were, how interesting the house was, how delicious the breakfast would be and how much fun it was talking with Skip and Jane, I would have booked a week. Each room is an amazing treasure to explore and we only saw a couple of the rooms. It is located close (15 minute drive) to great attractions (Point Defiance Park, the waterfront and the museums). Next time I visit the Seattle area, I will book my stay there and venture out to Seattle, Vashon Island and other areas of interest.

Jane and Skip made me welcome from the moment I arrived until the time I left; the breakfasts were memorable and they took me on a tour of the mansion. I stayed in a charming third-floor room that featured three skylights; the main floor was a stunning panorama of Victorian charm.

A beautiful place to just come and relax. We needed a getaway that was remote and intimate; Geiger Victorian fit the bill! Skip and Jane were wonderful hosts and very informative yet private. We wandered around looking at all the artifacts and was pleased to learn the history of the house and the owners. Wonderful breakfast and coffee at our door in the AM. Check in was easy and hospitality was excellent. Affordable and reasonable for the area. Close to downtown and not in the scary part of Tacoma that I was imagining. A perfect place for an intimate getaway. VEry ornate decor and lots of detail. Unique and interesting. I loved it.
