Our family has been feeling very cooped up during Covid so we decided to get out of town safely and stay at the Overlook Cabin at the Skamania Coves Resort. This house was perfect for our family of four - which included two adults, a four year old and a baby. It was quite cozy and the view couldn't be beat! It was a rainy weekend (as it is February) but we were still able to enjoy the views. Our four year old loved walking down with us to the coves and playing at the "beach" area. We want to come back in the summer as this area would be lovely then. As others have mentioned, there are train tracks that run right by this property and you have to cross them if you want to go to the coves/beach area, so if you have children you'll want to make sure that they are always with you by your side. The train didn't cause any issues with us - up at the Overlook Cabin you could hear the trains come by frequently but they weren't too loud to us and didn't cause any issues with sleep. Speaking of sleep, the beds and pillows are SO COMFORTABLE! I had some of the best sleep I've ever had at a a cabin rental. The other amenities were lovely as well, such as; fully stocked kitchen, games, fireplace and tv with plenty of channels and Netflix. This is a great place to stay overall and is close to the town center of Stevenson, WA, close to Cascade Locks and Multnomah Falls. We plan to come here again!

Booked a weekend here to escape the crazy covid world. Not much to add to the other reviews- we thought the house we stayed in was very comfortable but between the trains below and highway above the noise was annoying. The location was nice- close to town and a good staring point for an adventure to Hood River or other locales.

We stayed in an rv spot with a river view. The resort is very well maintained and the coves are nice. Good access to surrounding hikes and water activities and Stevenson is just down the road. I think the rate is reasonable. Be prepared for road and train noise

This property with RV camping sites and various lodging options is one of the most scenic places we have ever stayed. Our campsite overlooked the Columbia river with sailboats and kiteboards passing by. There are a couple of coves for swimming or launching a kayak or small boat. My boys loved the tree swing and spend hours pushing one other and enjoying this simple delight. My youngest son and is train buff and loved seeing all the trains that passed by. I could see that some may not appreciate the noise of the passing trains, but we enjoyed it. There is a little road noise during the day, but this really quieted down in the evenings so it was NOT like camping next door to a major freeway. The laundry room was closed due the pandemic so we were not able to use this. The tree house looks especially charming and I think my husband will hopefully make it back someday just to enjoy this for a romantic get-away.

I stayed for two nights in the treehouse. It’s located about one mile east of Stevenson Washington. I never saw anyone on the property. It’s close to highway and the railway tracks. You don’t here the road noise but the trains are more on a regular basis. The treehouse is very nice. It has its own bathroom and shower. It has a small table for eating and small kitchen area. It has a microwave and small sink. The bedroom is located in the loft. You climb a letter to reach the bedroom. There is a balcony with a nice view. The place was very clean and I look forward to coming back soon.
