Coming to Marianna Stoltz House is like a step back in time. All the rooms have their own personalities... I love them all. Once I started coming here in 2014, I have never stopped. Phyllis the owner is full of love and passion of life. She hands are magical and can make any food simmer. She cooks with love and most people never leave the table. Just amazing!
Lots of antiques, house is kept to original design. Good breakfast, felt very welcomed by Phyllis the owner. Check in is at 4 pm, but could not find it on web site and forgot to ask. She was very gracious to let us check in half hour early though, as we were coming in out of the rain. Phyllis also is a wealth of knowledge about the area and gives good directions. We picked Ivy room, due to previous reviews that it would be the quieter of the rooms being in the back. Glad we did. Road out front can be quite busy/noisy at times, especially on a Saturday night due to college kids going by. It also was one of the only two that had it's own bathroom. Though the shower in the claw foot tub is not for everyone, it's cute.
We loved the Marianna Stoltz House! Yes, the pictures are real - an incredible breakfast is served daily on silver chargers in the beautiful dinning room. Phyllis, the hostess, makes you very comfortable and makes sure you have all you need. The house was lovely, felt very safe, and convenient to everything. We felt the price was very reasonable as it included the wonderful breakfasts. It was a lovely, comfortable house and we had a great time staying there.
We stayed at the Stoltz house on a trip from Seattle to Missoula. It was the perfect respite. Beautifully appointed, and our hostess was charming and welcoming. I felt like a queen in this Victorian period BandB. The "wow" factor was the breakfast, served on silver lining plates with fine china with excellent food. When I saw it waiting for us I almost cried, it was so beautiful. I will be sure to stay there any time I am in Spokane. In fact it is worth going to Spokane to stay there. And if you do, go to Frankie's Diner for lunch....it is a restored train car that makes the whole experience complete.
Victorian style B&B. Our room was comfortable & clean, king bed was great, the twin bed was not so comfy but it is very hard to find a B&B with 2 beds in a room. Only complaint was the bathroom was down the hall which I do not like. The good thing was my sister & i were the only guests there overnight, so no one else was using the bathroom. Some rooms do have their own bathroom. Phyllis was very accommodating & friendly. Breakfast was amazing
