An exceptional Historic property. I have a huge two-room suite with a large bathroom and a murphy bed. The rate was very reasonable, the staff is very nice and helpful and there's a huge sitting area with a sky-light and comfortable furnishings. It's quiet, well maintained and has all the architectural details of grand historic building.

Didn't know what to expect booking a historical down town hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff friendly, the interior modernized but still historic, rooms very nice, multiple options for designing, and best of all quiet. Would recommend for business , couples, and perhaps families with older teens. Several strong options for meals onsite. Within walking distance to Riverfront Park,... More

High ceilings, large rooms and bathrooms, excellent furnishings - the only thing missing is an in room coffee maker. The rooms all circle a common sitting area that goes up to the roof and a large sky light. This was my second stay in Spokane this trip and will be a place I go back to definitely. It's very well... The Montvale is a quaint, updated older hotel in downtown Spokane. The rate was very reasonable. There was construction in the area so it was interesting getting around. No valet parking or help with luggage if that is something you require. The room was comfortable and very quiet. The ceilings were high and the doors very tall. Rooms open onto... More

We stayed one night at the Montvale and found it very nice. New owners are renovating, so the lobby is stark at this time. Desk staff are very nice. Second floor atrium is very nice. Our room was very comfortable. Price is good. Location was good for walking to shops/mall/park.

This is a historic hotel in Spokane and was lovely. No idea what all the negative reviews are about. Our room was lovely, good size bathroom and very clean. There is only a small car park but we were on a motorcycle so didn't have a problem parking. The reception staff were very helpful. We had a easy walk into... More

My wife and I stayed at the Montvale hotel from July 29-Aug 1 2016. The location is a little ways from everything in downtown but it was a great hotel. The room was great, along with the bathroom it was fairly big. The bed was comfy and the room has a safe as well. Shower in the morning were okay... More

We love old architecture and really enjoyed the Montvale Hotel. Clean, quiet rooms, friendly staff and a great price for downtown accommodations! Good location for walking around town. We enjoyed a cup of coffee at their 2nd floor lobby. We will plan more stays there.

Pluses: Very comfortable bed with high quality linens and bath towels, nice sized bathroom with tub and shower, tasteful decor and inviting common sitting area on second floor lobby and many choices in the neighborhood for restaurants and entertainment. Relatively good reading light. Minuses: Paper thin walls with creaky floors from the floor above, no refrigerator in the room, extra... More

We wanted to stay somewhere we hadn't stayed for our Anniversary. Since we wanted to have a nice dinner and try a few martini bars, we didn't want to spend a fortune on a room.
