My wife and I stayed at the Davenport one night in a very nice corner room. They used to have an airport shuttle but was eliminated. There was no microwave, there was a coffee maker. The shampoo was anchored to the shower stall along with the lotion and body gel. The soap was a dispenser on the sink. Lots of big and small towels. The bathroom had a shower and a tub. They had subscribed to Dish Network TV and at the time only had one of the three major networks covered. The channel selection was smaller than most hotels. There was only one vending machine for sodas in the building. Three dollars a bottle and only worked on certain selections. We were with a large group and the hotel was paid to provide a nice breakfast. It was extremely nice. The only restaurant was in the atrium. There was another short service eatery in their sister hotel across the street, but you could only read the menu if you had a cell phone. All of that said the room was good for sleep and it was spacious and clean. The bathroom was large and clean. Lots of space for extra clothes. Our group used a lot of the second floor. The second floor is setup for use by large groups. They have several small to very large rooms available for meeting and activities. The historic Davenport Hotel is an amazing hotel in that it brings back the times of when service was expected as a normal item to their customers. I can see where the owners are still mindful of those days gone by. I hope that they can survive in these days of rush and hurry and dollar focus.

Our family of three spent two nights in a standard room at the Historic Davenport and overall had a good stay. Centrally located in Spokane’s compact downtown, it was just a short 10 minute drive from the airport. Parking was located adjacent to the hotel and was shared with their sister hotel, the Davenport Tower. While parking was included in our AAA rate, for those paying, the current price is $22 a night. Check in was quick and friendly with the agent going over adjustments due to COVID. In general, most services were available, except for daily housekeeping. Our 10th floor room was compact, but in good condition, with a pack-and-play for our toddler. The bed was comfortable, internet fast, and the bathroom clean. L’Occitane products were available to use. While we didn’t have breakfast on-site, we did eat at the Palm Court Grill on our final night. Service was friendly, the lobby seating grand, and the food good. We appreciated that our server proactively placed the order for our toddler as soon as we ordered our drinks. The only reason we didn’t give the hotel five stars was due to housekeeping. We didn’t mind not having daily service, but were dismayed that the room itself had some trash under the dresser and another persons keycard on the window sill. Moreover, being located outside of the housekeeping door on the floor, we found it frustrating to hear staff shouting loudly in the hallway to one another as our daughter was taking her nap. One other thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is just a few blocks from the train tracks. You can unfortunately hear the trains as they roll through, but to be fair, any hotel downtown is likely to have the same issue. All told, given the options in Spokane, the Historic Davenport is likely one of your best options.

We loved this hotel. We are generally fans of the Autograph Collection, they seem to take funky older properties and spruce them up to modern standards. The Davenport is full of character and history. I awoke early one morning to explore the lobby and ballrooms, which were almost like a museum of the property: photos of staff and grand balls from the early 1900's, memorabilia, etc. Our room was HUGE. The largest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Very suite like. Nice little pool and hot tub. And a great location, lots of restaurant choices very close by. We were in Spokane for just a night on our way to Montana, but the Davenport made us wish we had another day to spend in Spokane!

There because it was the precruise hotel for AQSC. I thought it was a beautiful hotel . And our room was great. Huge shower stall, king bed, Keurig coffeemaker in room, large screen TVs. Interesting city view from 10 th floor. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating as we needed early checkin and late checkout , no problem. Onsight restaurant very expensive, $45 for a hamburger and a grilled cheese with soft drinks. But that’s not unusual. And the ambiance was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

As a Marriott Titanium member we were looking forward to staying at this property. It is very beautiful and the work completed to restore the property is amazing. Unfortunately, we should have just visited the property for a few minutes and stayed somewhere else. We had 1 king bed and a sofa bed in our room. Since we were traveling with our kiddos, we figured this would work well. Check-in went smoothly and noticed once we got in the room that there were no sheets, pillows, blankets for the sofa bed. No worries, we called the front desk and requested the items, then went to dinner. Came back from dinner, no bedding. Called the front desk. No answer. We tried 3 more times and no one ever picked up. Now it is 10pm, kiddos are trying to goto bed, and we went downstairs to get bedding. Front desk said they couldn't help and would need to send someone up with the bedding. Additionally, we had a toilet that did not work and requested it to be fixed. Front desk said they would send someone right up. Now it is 11pm. No bedding. No working toilet. Called the front desk again. No answer. The kiddos were now sleeping in the bed with sheets. We ended up going to sleep on the sofa bed using towels as sheets. At 1AM, maintenance finally showed up and fixed the toilet. Bedding never showed up. When we checked out, I asked the front desk clerk to speak with a manager. She said she could take a message. I mentioned our issue of having no bedding and was woken up at 1am to fix a toilet. The clerk had no interest in the issue. Did not share any apology. Just "Ok". Such a shame. After 20 years of staying in Marriott properties regularly, this was THE WORST experience. AVOID THE PROPERTY AT ALL COST!!
