Detailed Reviews
The Good: The room was clean with enough area to spread out without being too much. Staff was friendly and I was always greeted with a smile. The location can't be beat if you are visiting Providence Sacred Heart hospital since it is literally across the street. The bed was comfortable and I was able to fall asleep quickly. The bathroom wasn't cramped at all, and it was easy to move around in. The AC worked very well and was easy to operate and I was glad that there was an automatic temp control as well as fan control. Also, the part I really liked the most was that the room was actually dark at night. Very little light bleed and other than the clock on the microwave, nightlight in the bathroom, and the LED on the cable box, there wasn't any other sources of light. I hit the breaker on the nightlight to turn it off, and then a sock on the cable box and microwave covered up those. I really wish that hotels would do a better job of looking at night time sources of light, and cover them in some way.
The Bad: There are not a lot of dining options within walking distance and those that are will require you to walk uphill at some point. The breakfast is just meh. Standard Hampton Inn fare with powdered eggs, a waffle maker, some sort of protein choice, and oatmeal. There is also not enough seating in the area if you choose to eat at a busy time. The parking is a multi-level parking structure that is almost too tight. Make sure to not have a vehicle larger than a medium size SUV, or you may struggle a bit parking and moving through it. The shower in my room also had a bit of a "scream" at certain water pressures and temperatures. I hate disturbing my fellow guests, so that was irritating having to constantly adjust it to find the spot where the "whistling" would stop.
The Ugly: There really wasn't anything that would prevent me from staying here other than the better options in the area.

Hotel's Favorite
We spent two nights here, I found the hotel to be very clean and modern, looked almost new. Our room was clean, nice large bright bathroom. The pool is open 24hrs which is nice, it was also one of the cleanest hotel pools I have ever seen, the pool area was also well kept up and did not have that typical moldy chlorine smell. The bed was excellent, one of the best nights sleep I have had in a long time, I even visited the website to get details about ordering one of these beds for my home. The wifi is great (and free) I was able to get work done on the computer during my downtime and it was as fast as if I was hardwired to the network like I usually am.
Breakfast was very good, fresh and a good selection, the mini omelettes were really good, pity they did not have them on the 2nd day.
The parking garage is clean, well lit and secure (and free)
The staff were very helpful & cheerful.
This was a great hotel to stay in and it will be our go to when we visit Spokane in the future.

We had to come to Spokane to move my son out of his college dorm early for the year due to campus closing for Coronavirus. This hotel just opened December 27, 2019 - it’s brand new. Beautiful views, stylish decor and spaces. We were very comfortable and felt safe and clean. They weren’t offering usual hot breakfast for obvious reasons, but they gave us a 10% discount for traveling during this time. We would totally stay here again - my only reason for not giving five stars is it was a bit noisy with helicopters frequently flying overhead. Hotel is literally right next to hospital and maybe there are more helicopters now than usual due to crisis. Would not keep me from coming back. Highly recommend!

This hotel, which is only a couple months old, is located on a hillside overlooking the city. The streets leading to the hotel almost begin to rival those in San Francisco in terms of steepness. Getting to the hotel in snowy weather might be problematic.
Nice lobby area, adequate free parking, situated between two hospitals (one hospital, two locations?), no restaurants within easy walking distance. It is about a mile to a bunch of fast food places on Third St.
We had one silly issue and one real issue. The bathroom sink didn't drain, and my daughter decided the only recourse was to brush her teeth in the shower. Eventually I figured out that the plunger in the sink required pushing down in order to drain the sink. New one on me. It turns out that I had lots of company because upon checking out the clerk told me that three people checking out before me had complained about the same problem. Seems weird that housekeeping would leave the sink plunger down .... or maybe no one had ever even been in the room. Enough said about the silly issue.
Before getting to the real issue, there was one other annoying feature. With room temperature set to about 70 degrees, the bed covers consisted of a sheet and a heavy comforter. A single sheet wasn't enough to stay warm in bed and the comforter was thick enough so that it was roast time. Should have set the temperature to 60 degrees!
The real issue was that the supposedly new mattress on my bed was sagging badly, not in the middle but on the edge so that I thought I would roll out of bed. Not good for sleeping. I showed a picture of the mattress to the desk clerk when I checked out, and the clerk said it would be taken care of and shouldn't have happened. Maybe the quality of their mattresses is lacking? The mattress wasn't very comfortable even where it wasn't sagging.
The buffet breakfast was okay with the usual offerings, including some egg paddies (not the most appetizing form of eggs) and bacon. This sounds whiny, but the fresh fruit offering was kind of chintzy. It consisted of chunks of cut up banana and some slices of pineapple that were accessed by tongs. If one wanted the equivalent of a whole banana (that would be me), it would have required picking away with the tongs for quite some time. Well, I didn't do that because the amounts of fruit available were small. Didn't want to hoard.
Free wifi was fine. The pool area looked nice.
I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again unless the price was significantly better than competitors.

Oskarduck, Thank you for your constructive feedback of our hotel. We appreciate your comments and thorough review. I'm very sorry to hear about some of the issues that you encountered. These will be addressed and shared with our management team right away. I'm very concerned to hear about the mattress in your room. They are all in fact completely new and some of them have never even been slept on. We are looking into this right away. We appreciate your suggestions about our breakfast and will take everything you've said into consideration. Thank you again and we do hope to see you again in the future. We can't wait to WOW you during your next visit!

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff from front desk to housekeeping. Our room was beyond clean and passed a black light test which is sadly rare these days. My husband was not a fan of the bedding, a bit too starchy and a little scratchy, but the comforter was pretty comfy, at least for me. Anything we needed, they had ready for us and the location is so close to everything which made sightseeing and dinning out super convenient. Our only recommendation would be some extra softener for the bedding. The staff and hotel definitely earned their 5 stars! If we are ever back in Spokane, this is where we’ll stay 😎

This Hampton is across the street from the hospital. There are some restaurants a few blocks away (behind the hospital) but nothing right around the Hampton. The parking is free. There is a gate arm that you can open with your digital room key to enter. This is super convenient. The area right around the hospital feels relatively safe for downtown Spokane area.
The hotel feels new and the rooms are nice. Everything seemed clean. The bedding and pillows are ok. The room had a generous small fridge and micro. Being a Hilton, you can check in online and pick your room, which is convenient. You also instantly know when your room is ready. If your room faces south, you view the hospital. If your room faces north, you have a really beautiful view over downtown Spokane and the surrounding landscape. The view elevates this Hampton.
If one cares about employees or customers being masked, this isn't the right place to stay. NO staff wore a mask at all and most customers did not, either. I don't love that customers are dishing up their breakfast maskless, personally.
Mask opinions aside, I did book this hotel to have access to an indoor pool. However, the pool was way too cold to swim in. If they aren't going to properly heat the pool, it shouldn't be advertised. That is the main reason for one star off.

Ellmmo, Thank you for choosing to stay with us in Spokane. We are happy our operations are convenient for check-in and check-out. However, we are sorry you think our pool felt too cool for swimming. We keep our pool at a constant 84 degrees and monitored throughout the day and night. If it is too warm, the chemicals will not work correctly. We hope you will return to enjoy another visit to our hotel again soon.

The hotel was nice and new. The facilities as such were great. Nice, clean, modern. Parking was free in the attached underground garage which was well lit. Stairs and elevator access up to main hotel entry. Room was very clean. Wonderful large TV. Nice well thought out bathroom with plenty of counter space. Only critique was our room seemed to have difficulty with thermostat reading accurately. Room remained too warm at night despite lowering the temperature and windows don't open. Breakfast was usual and good.

This Hampton Inn has everything working, great beds, a good view of Spokane up on a hill but very close to downtown. We appreciated the free parking, homemade oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, and a large, clean room with fridge, microwave and no-slip shower. AND, lighter blankets were provided in the closet as we never use puffy duvets.

+1
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Spokane Downtown South for three nights as part of a 2 month road trip. We stay in Hilton properties almost exclusively so when one is a perfect experience it is never a surprise. We were going to stay two nights so reserved those, but not a city view or anything fancy. Then it turns out we needed to add a night on the front for a total of three and only city view rooms were available so we reserved that even though it was a bit more money. When we checked in we asked Drew at the front desk if he could give us a room where we could stay all three nights. I was ok if it wasn’t a city view, I just didn’t want to have to move after one night. He put us in a beautiful city view room #504 and added a note to try and keep us there for all three nights. As a Diamond for the past 25 years we are accustomed to nice upgrades and this was no different and really above and beyond. The very nice red headed lady at the front desk brought us an extra pillow and the morning breakfast ladies were super with the exceptional service and all the great food choices. Conrad Hilton was big on extreme customer service and I know he’d be proud of all the employees at this Hampton Inn. If I’m ever in Spokane again this’ll be my go to place. Highly recommend and thanks for a super stay!

I have been all over Spokane looking for a good hotel and finally I think I found one. The hotel is right off I-90, nestled right at the base of Sacred Heart Hospital and convenient to all other medical faculties. The rooms are quite, quite comfortable and the view is amazing. I really appreciated the fine things like the coffee in the lobby which was so delicious. What was even better was that I was able to serve myself the coffee and not have to ask the staff to serve it.
The grab and go breakfast was ok. I generally am not a fan of these grab n go breakfasts but appreciated that you were able to have a choice of what you wanted. However, the last day I was there they decided to scrap the choices and just give you a box the next morning. I was QUITE underwhelmed by the selection. It was really almost laughable it was so sad. It is utterly criminal that you likely pay beaucoup bucks for breakfast to be wrapped into the price but instead of getting a nice buffet breakfast (I know it's not possible due to COVID) you get a sorry looking wrapped breakfast burrito, a tiny yogurt and a choice of a fruit. Wow.....underwhelming at best. When I called them out on the lack of selection they just shrugged their shoulders like "meh....whatever". I ended up throwing the breakfast or what they call breakfast away and went to a local bakery. They need, REALLY need to come up with a better plan for breakfasts. A pathetic box of several items is sad at very best.
