Whether you choose an indoor table overlooking the falls or outdoor on the patio surrounded by flower baskets and mountains, the food here is fresh and delectable. Be sure to try the crisp and flavorful fried green tomatoes! What a treat! The chicken was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a variety of veggies. The crab pasta was also a decadent treat! (Though happily, in a light lemony sauce!). Don't forget to try some wines! Book reservations!

This was our third time staying at the Salish, and the experience was again amazing. The staff was extremely accommodating for the entire trip. Our room was spotless and luxuriously comfortable. There is literally nothing better than falling asleep to the sounds of a peaceful waterfall. I am a terrible sleeper, and I got a full night every night of our stay. The Dining Room is a fantastic restaurant with amazing service. Best pork chop of my life without hyperbole. In room dining is also a home run. My wife loved the grilled cheese. Of all the great Salish experienced, the Spa may be the best. Sign up for some pool time and you will find it to be extremely relaxing. My personal recommendation for others who may batter their bodies throughout the week with weight training and martial arts: get the Ashiatsu massage (Shawna) your first day, then the Lomi Lomi (Lydia) the next. Those will work out a substantial amount of muscular problem areas; I guarantee you'll feel rejuvenated the next day (for a hike up and down the falls). This is our favorite place to visit, and will be yours as well.

This place renovated a few years ago and we really liked the design of the hotel rooms. They were spacious and we liked the décor. Food here is more interesting than normal, and I mean that in a good way. We liked breakfast and dinner here on a 2 night stay, eating all our meals on property. We had a suite plus an extra room and were treated rather well. The hotel is a one hour drive from the Seattle airport. The hotel doesn’t have facilities such as a pool or a gym but it has privileges with an excellent gym about a 10 minute drive. There is a little spa with decent treatments. You can take a nice walk down to the bottom of the falls; takes about 20 minutes each way and expect a steep walk back up. (There is a parking lot at the bottom.) We walked to town, which was especially fun the last weekend in August when the train festival was going on at the railway museum. The hotel puts out some trail mix in little bags and if you check in the hallway early in the morning you can take some. They also put out a Seattle newspaper. The hotel was pretty chill about the mask mandate; not like the utter neurosis we experienced in Seattle. Our rooms had views of the water falls; because you are over the falls, you don’t really see that much but it is pleasant. The views over the mountains into the horizon are beautiful, and also from the dining room. The only problem from our suite 220 and 221 was that all day and night long you could hear noise from somewhere that sounded like a kid jumping on a trampoline. It wasn’t enough to keep us up but it was enough to be annoying. We figured it was some kind of machinery. An engineer confirmed that he heard it; a manager stopped by but couldn’t figure it out. I guess we’ll never know. This is a great weekend place to go if you want to see something of Washington other than Seattle but can’t go far away.

My hubby and I went to the Salish Lodge to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Hits: The room was nicely appointed, the falls were beautiful, and breakfast at the restaurant was delicious. The shower and bathroom lighting were very nice. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was quiet. Valet parking was fast, friendly, and free. Misses: (1) No one acknowledged our 20th anniversary even though it was noted at the time of booking and in a text to Cooper the "personal assistant." (2) We found a pair of glasses and old rose petals between the bed and nightstand. Yuck! (3) We were promised a 30-minute late check-out at arrival but the next morning when we called to see if it could be a bit later (since we checked in very late the night before) we were told there was no late check-out possible. (4) It took an hour to be seated at the restaurant, which was only 1/3 full. Overall: For the price we paid, I do not feel that we received an adequate value or service.
