We have lived in Sequim for 30+ years and have never been here. I wanted to grab my Husband and surprise him with a night away from home but we had to stay close to make that work. This place was perfect! We stayed in the newly remodeled #2 cottage. It was perfect. Boho themed. Everything you could possibly need. Full kitchen with everything, coffee station, super comfy living room with tons of throw blankets and pillows. Nice sofa pointed at the AMAZING view and a perfect little table to eat at while looking at the eagles and water. Also a small deck with rockers for sipping coffee in the morning (also facing water view) and a private hot tub in the back. The hot tub was clean and well maintained and a nice temp of 104. We drank champagne and enjoyed the quiet, salty air on our faces. There were fun board games to play and a nice Bluetooth speaker. WIFI was great. The King bed was very comfortable and the bedding was soft and smelled nice. The path to the beach is directly across the driveway and a easy 1 minute hike gets you right on the water. It was low tide so we saw all kinds of things. Including rare Oystercatchers! (we are bird nerds) I could go on and on about this place. We will stay here many more times I am sure. Oh... the gal that took care of housekeeping the next morning was a pure delight as well. Her name was Sarah! Pick this place! I can only imagine the rest of the cottages must be as amazing. Cheers!

The only thing that made me happy, was the view. The cottages were under equipped, at best. In reviewing them online, they looked bigger and were supposedly "fully equipped"! The one unit didn't even have a stove. Both units had way too small of a refrigerator. I was glad we were only there for two nights. The kitchen was very poorly equipped. If I am renting a place with a kitchen, it is because I want to cook in. The one unit that was meant to accommodate two children, had one king bed only. We had to call several times for the owner to bring in a small fold up bed. Where was the other child supposed to sleep. Upon my arrival, there was no check in process. We had to figure everything out and make several calls for items and check ins. The one until was in the process of being cleaned upon arrival!! I had called about "Covid" cleaning!" If one tiny little plug in "ozone" purifier was supposed to be it, well, it is less than adequate.

This is the second time my wife and I enjoyed a three-night stay in Cottage #6. Everything was clean. Having a kitchen allowed us to cook most of our own food, even though Clallam County has not yet had any Covid deaths. Guests can use a path to a private beach where kayaks are waiting to be rented. We showed our grand-nieces how to skip rocks there. One night I sat on the steps to the beach to watch the start of the Perseid meteor shower.

My wife Nd I spent two nights at DBC Nd thoroughly enjoyed it. The small cottage had a king size bed and kitchen area which included nearly anything needed to cook or bbq including coffee and tea pods to go with the Kureig. Behind the cottage was very large lawn yard with picnic tables, fire pits, bbq and games. They have a variety of bicycles and kayaks to rent. The cottage was very clean decorated nicely. The front window faced the water and sunsets. There is access to the beach directly across the street (which is not a busy street). You can walk the beach for nearly a mile one way and a long distance also the opposite way. I highly recommend this location for a nice getaway.

I have stayed here for years & loved it. That all changed recently (though not sure exactly when). We booked our fav room (Straight View #5) for first week of March. Packed up all our food & wine & pots & pans to settle in for a nice extended weekend of excellent meals & bird watching. Arrived to find all but one of the kitchens, couches & chairs had been removed & replaced by a bevy of, for the most part, quite useless knick-knacks & weird furniture that was not only uncomfortable to sit in, but quite unfit for the setting of the property. What a disappointment! I should have known when, upon arrival, there was furniture, ovens, general sawdust & filth all over. This was a beautiful time piece that was in the process of being completely ruined. After contacting the management, we were told they could move one of the old stoves back in for us (an oven should never be placed on carpet). We were refunded & we went to the Bishop Victorian in Port Townsend...perfect! We were refunded our $$ & told "they hadn't had a chance to update the photos"! It's been over three months & they are still not updated. Beautiful location, but buyer beware! These units look nothing like they used to. Take my advice & stay just up the road a 1/4 miles at the Juan De Fuca cottages. Their remodel has been an upgrade, not what has happened at Dung. Bay Cottages.
