My husband and I searched for unique lodging while on our honeymoon and I came across Red Caboose...boy, am I glad we found it! What a fun, truly one of a kind bed and breakfast! We stayed in the Western caboose and had a blast. The train car was beautifully restored and it was apparent how much love and attention...

What a great idea to have not just your own room BUT your own CABOOSE!! We were booked into the Casey Jones which was left as it would have been used as a caboose. Others were themed for a circus, Orient Express, etc. The dining car was a wonderful surprise - all decked out as it would have been some...

I thought I had reviewed. Pity I didn't. It is perfect. Breakfast awesome.Hosts Charlotte and Olaf are very special. It is the most beautiful idea ever. I can hardly wait to see the two "new" cabooses finished.

During a recent road trip where my focus was to find funky, unique stops for my 10 year-old son and I to enjoy, I booked a night at the Red Caboose Getaway. Our hotel "room" was a nicely renovated caboose (wine themed) that provided a very unique lodging experience. Set on actual rails, our yellow caboose featured a huge copper...

My wife and I booked a night on the Lavender Express during a recent road trip because it looked like a unique B&B experience. The stay exceeded our expectations. Here are some of the things that made our stay great: * Olaf was very friendly and helpful. At check-in he filled us in on local attractions, restaurants, and our the...

This is a very different B&B experience. However, as usual, the character and personalities of the hosts are the defining points. Olaf and Charlotte could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are works of art. The cabooses are totally unique and Olaf is committed to retaining the original authenticity of each one combined with a theme. The...

I have never dealt with such a jerk that owns a company to make money. My wife made reservation on June 29. The next day he calls and says we have no reservation. He then hung up the phone and stopped answering when I tried to call back..

We chose this place after we heard about it from Evening Magazine. Our trip was for a Mother's day gift for an avid train lover. We booked track 9-The Grape Escape caboose more than a few months in advance due to the fact that Mother's Day weekend was booked and dates around this time were filling up. We could not...

I stay at a tremendous amount of places throughout most years, with this one being a welcome reprieve from most which are ho hum in most regards. Housed in train cabooses, each offers a different flavor, which suited my fancy tenfold. The owner and his wife were great hosts and you were treated with a neat breakfast each morning. Highly...

What a fun idea! Stay in a real railroad caboose. We stayed in the western themed caboose. Nicely remodeled and comfortable. The breakfast served in an authentic 1930's dining car. The food was excellent both days we were there I'd love to go back and see the other cabooses. Very unique!
