#1 of 2 Specialty lodging in Sekiu
Romantic getaway on the Straits of San Juan De Fuca. Cozy cabins on the waterfront looking across to Vancouver Island. Full kitchens, wireless internet, HDTV. Eagles, otters, whales, seals, lots of wildlife. Beautiful grounds, with lots of flowers. This is your perfect staging area for hiking, kayaking and exploring the Northwest coast of the Olympic Peninsula. We specialize in those quiet get aways, honeymoons, weddings, anniversaries, any special occasion. What we are not is a fishing resort. There are plenty of places to call home while fishing in the area. Chito Beach Resort has always been a NON fishing resort. You are welcome to bring in your fish to prepare for dinner but we do not allow ANY fish processing in the cabin or on the property. Fishing is a sport for the early bird, here at Chito Beach Resort our guests appreciate the quiet mornings.

My wife and I have a passion for travel, and that often means fancy hotels, big cities and five star restaurants. But in the six years we've been married, our stay at Chito Beach was by far our favorite. The location is incredibly beautiful, and the cabin was beyond perfect. It felt like we were at home. They even provide binoculars to see the wildlife and a guidebook to know what you're seeing! We spent four nights, and each night we opened the windows and listened to the sea roll in. Back home in Florida, I sometimes have difficulty sleeping, but at the Rock House, the sound of the sea hushed me back to sleep so peacefully. It was no wonder that as the sun rose, I still felt refreshed enough to watch it come up over the Strait of Juan de Fuca in the window seat in our loft. Trust me, I'm not a morning person, but each morning I got myself up, watched the sunrise from this gorgeous view, and then went back to bed and snuggled with my wife. We walked the beach and were dazzled by sea anemones. We watched seals and sea otters from our porch. I'm 53 years old, and just a short drive from the resort, my wife and I saw what we agree was the most amazing sunset of our lives! This is the type of place you go to love life. We will be back.

I cannot imagine a finer place to stay on the Pacific Northwest Coast than Chito Beach. We stayed at the Rock House for 5 nights and it was superb. The cabin has everything you need, the bed is so comfortable and those views! Looking out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca, seeing both the sunrise and the sunset and all the sea life - dolphins, Orcas, sea otters, eagles and so many sea birds! Just writing about the cabin makes me miss it. My sister and her husband stayed for two nights in the Cast Away and just loved it. Such a fine place to stay in such beautiful surroundings. We would recommend Chito Beach to anyone!

We stayed at Castaway, but also visited friends at Rock House. I would highly recommend both! We saw sea otters, bald eagles, cormorants, and more from the deck of our cottage. You can walk along the beach and the stars were wonderful. Don't go here if you are looking for night life, but if you would like a beautiful cottage right on the beach to relax in, this is it! Beware - spotty internet connections are available. Usually best in the morning, and I did not have cell phone service (A T & T) but it didn't bother me a bit!

Chito is a wonderful place to relax and recharge. The cottage (Rainforest) was well equipped for cooking and resting, with the bed facing the water only a few meters away. We woke up to watch bald eagles from the porch and saw many wading birds searching for dinner. The only thing that could make it more perfect would be some resident dogs. 😁 We’re already planning to come back and stay in all of the other cottages at some point. 😊

Our third trip (and the third time we have extended our stay, though not for as long as we would have liked because of heavy bookings). Tamara and Matt are gracious and convivial hosts. The Lighthouse cabin is well provisioned with amenities; the view is gobsmacking. Great craic with the hosts and other guests at the campfire. Lovely beach walks. A peaceful, serene, and soul rejuvenating place.
