We stayed overnight so we could catch an early morning 6:00 am international flight the following day. The room was 3 star. The bar had great service and exceptional food. The Calamari and Ahi Poke was really outstanding. They have no reservation system for the shuttle to the airport. It was a zoo. Despite being the first people in the lobby to catch the 3:45am shuttle, they let some others on ahead of us for some reason and then stopped us from boarding so they could load on a flight crew that moments prior got to the end of the line. They refused to allow us to board the shuttle despite the fact that were the first people in line to board and that we had to check in early because we were international travelers as well as Platinum Marriott members. Don’t count on this hotel to get you to the airport on time. Their shuttle system sucks and that needs to be addressed. Lots of good things going on at this hotel but the shuttle service is a complete and utter disaster.

Dear O8707SSjohnl, Thanks for staying with us! I was sorry to learn of your delay in getting to the airport. The early morning is very busy, as you noted and our flight crews do have priority in boarding. We make over 100 trips daily transporting a large number of guests. The shuttle does run at least every 15 minutes and I am glad it does appear you managed to arrive in time to catch your flight.

The room I stayed in was fine. It was an atrium room, so there was little natural light. Multiple electrical outlets were available in the room, along with several built-in USB chargers. The TV had an external HDMI cable for connecting a laptop or other (video streaming) device; I think this is the first hotel room I've stayed in that had this touch. The nightstand clock had a wireless phone charger and built-in Lightning (iPhone) and micro-USB cables; very handy. Fixing the incorrect time on the nightstand clock required a 10 minute detective journey into the depths of the Internet; hotels should select room accessories that are usable by mere mortals! As noted in several other reviews, this property used to have a large indoor pool which has been filled in and carpeted over. This resulted in an large, empty atrium (event?) space in the center of the hotel that just seems out of place. The high-level "Hotel Details" section of the Google Maps search results still lists the indoor pool as a feature of this property. Finally, parking. Yes, paying for the privilege(?) of parking a vehicle is standard practice for hotels in this area, but the $28 charge for self-parking here was the second-highest (based on a spot-check) among 5 hotels in the immediate area. The parking spots are narrow and a pain to park in. Not impressed with this tactic.

Beware parking at Seatac Marriott! I parked there for 6 days last week and when I came back I found that a thief had attempted to steal the catalytic converter from my car. They didn't get the converter probably due to being scared off by someone coming into the area. But they did manage to cut half way through the exhaust pipe behind the converter which I now need to get fixed. There is no security in the lot and some of it is quite a way from the hotel. So I think this lot may be one of the easier targets for these theives. I will not be parking there again. Of course Marriott has signs about not it being responsible for anything regarding the cars as all lots like this do however in the future I will look for one that will present a less attractive target for the thieves.

Dear Veebub99, Yes, in case you haven't heard, catalytic converter is on the rise across the US. That "someone" you refer to as scaring the would be thief off was part of our 24 hour security team that regularly patrols the lot along with surveillance cameras. We are pleased to hear we were able to prevent the thief from removing your converter and am sure you are relieved as well. It is unfortunate that this is occurring in hotels, apartments, malls and grocery store parking lots. The airport also has the same problem in its parking structure. We are sorry you will have to obtain a fix for your tail pipe.

This review is for an unprofessional bartender. I dined there last night, I can't remember her name but she was blonde and very unfriendly. Once done eating, I told her I would put the tab on my room. She gave me the bill, I signed all info name, room number and tip. I exited the restaurant and proceeded to the printer which is right next to the bar. The bartender runs up to me and says oh, you didn't pay your bill , are you putting it on your room? I said to her, I just did at the bar. She told me no you didn't, it is not at the bar. After much frustration, I go back to the bar where I find her chatting with another associate. She looks up and sees me and casually says oh, yeah I found your tab, all good." Mangers; She needs training or a different profession. Such a bad look for you guys!

The pool area really made this place special. Even if you didn’t like to swim the pool was amazing. They covered the pool with carpet and it ruined the entire feel of the property. Save your money snd stay at a motel 6. At least the motel 6 would have better character and a pool.

Dear Locked907, The pool was taken out and off our website in 2019 due to age and lack of use. The vast majority of our guests don't stay with us based on whether the hotel has a pool. They stay based on the value of newly renovated quality rooms, great food, unique event space and warm sincere service. I am sorry to learn none of that is important to you. Travel safe.

This Marriott is very close SeaTac Airport and has an efficient shuttle running every 15 minutes 24/7. We appreciated the ease of catching the shuttle for our one night stopover. We are frequent leisure travelers who stay at mostly Marriott brands and have been repeatedly disappointed by them during the past 2 pandemic years. This one did not disappoint me, recognizing my Titanium status at checkin with an upgraded room, lounge access and a bonus point welcome gift. The room was beautiful, recently renovated. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with toiletries. In addition to a fridge, the room featured a microwave and coffee maker. There were plenty of places to charge devices too. The only negative thing was the unusual shower head which did not seem to work. Two above average intelligent adults could not get water to flow through the handheld. Unless there was a complex procedure that alluded us, it was broken. This alone did not ruin an otherwise comfortable layover that allowed us to be rested for our journey home the next morning,

The shower head is a bit tricky as the regulator for the flow is on the back side of the head, Sorry for the difficultly you experienced. We look forward to your next visit,

I booked a reservation at this hotel then realized that I booked the wrong date. I canceled the reservation within 36 hours and made a new reservation at the same hotel for the correct date. The hotel refused to refund the original reservation despite the fact that I rebooked the following weekend. I've stayed 300+ nights in Marriott hotels and had years of status. I'm very disappointed by this level of inflexibility. I've seen a few articles from high-volume travelers on how they're switching away from Marriott to competitors. Understandable, as the level of service has really declined.

Dear 542ajk, We have dealt with many cases of cancellations and refunds during the pandemic as we have appreciated the unusual circumstances and therefore were quite surprised regarding your comments. Our records indicate a refund was issued to a case with similar verbiage to have posted here when the hotel was contacted directly. We hope you reconsider your opinion of Marriott.

I would say this was a 3.5/5 hotel but I always round up. We had an early morning flight out of SeaTac at 6 AM and decided to use a free Marriott award night (35k) here. We checked in at 9 pm and checked out around 4 am so we were not able to check out all the amenities. We did take a quick peek at the lounge for platinum/titanium guests and they did not have many options (lemon bar, brownie, assorted non-alcoholic sodas, and a coffee machine). Room was fairly clean but somewhat cramped for 3 people in a 2 queen bedroom. They did not have any water in the room so we had to call and get some on request. The nicest thing about this hotel was the hotel shuttle which runs every 15 minutes. Overall I would not mind staying here again. This is a pretty big hotel close to SeaTac from the Marriott chain that can house people for conferences, meetings, weddings, etc.

After quite a kerfuffle with a canceled flight we were rerouted through Seattle with a 6 am flight. This meanrt a day and short night in Seattle. That said, the shuttle from the airport to the hotel takes about 10 minutes and conveniently runs 24/7, every half hour. Upon arrival they had our room ready and check in was efficient. Unfortunately the concierge room for elite members is closed Friday-Saturday and breakfast is served later than we’ll be staying. This old hotel has had an obvious facelift that is now outdated. Be that as it may, our room was adequate and comfortable.

Good customer service on arrival. Lovely refurbished room. Shower great. Bathroom too small for two. Airport shuttle free and great. Club room for hot breakfast but late to get setup - not good for an airport hotel. Poor mask wearing in club. Overall good in hotel public areas.
