This hotel keeps the thermostat turn up to high. The lobby must be 84° as well as the bar area. We usually eat outside the bar in the atrium as the temperature is cooler and tolerable. But, unfortunately that area was closed. Service is usually good and food is well prepared. Unfortunately we didn’t dine due to uncomfortable temperature. The room was 77° when we entered, even though the thermostat was set at 64°. We know now to contact the hotel in advance to have the engineer go to the room and turn on the two faucets that allow coolant to the air conditioning. We experience this room issue every time we stay at this hotel, but we keep coming back. This is the first time that they didn’t want to serve us dinner in the atrium, maybe new management. Save me a lot of money.

Dear Steven S Sorry to learn that you were uncomfortable during your recent visit. Given that Seattle has been experiencing unseasonably cold temperatures, I am struggling to understand how the lobby could have been at 84°. We will certainly alert our maintenance team that you have had more than one issue with the thermostat in your room, not lowering to the temperature you desire. Thank you for staying with Marriott and we hope to see you again on a future trip.

Stayed 2 nights coming and going to Southeast Asia. Shuttle picks up at airport on 3rd floor of parking garage. Take Sky Bridge from baggage claim area to parking garage level 4 then go down 1 floor. Shuttle runs every 15 minutes. Driver will help with luggage (on/off). Elevators are available for each segment if needed. From airport Shuttle leaves at :00; :15; :30 and :45 each hour. One time dropped me off at departures. Other time dropped me off same place as pick up. Only took 15 minutes from hotel to Delta check in desk using Sky Bridge and 2 elevators. Food at the hotel good. Ate in restaurant once for dinner and had room service twice (dinner and breakfast). Room service very quick both times—< 20 minutes. Room comfortable and staff nice. Would stay again.

My wife and I first stayed at this Marriott on December 28 and 29, 2022 and enjoyed the experience and location so much that we stayed here again on February 3, 2023. When we travel, we sometimes like to stay near the airport before catching our flight and this Marriott is very convenient and very close to the airport. Management and the staff are very good at recognizing our elite status with Marriott and treat us very well. We enjoy getting a bite at the restaurant and relaxing at the bar and chatting with staff. On this particular trip, we were very impressed by how welcoming and attentive Sienna (receptionist) was when we checked in; and we were also very impressed by Jean (at your service) when we called to ask about the menu for room service. Also, after notifying the staff about a toilet problem (continuously running), someone from maintenance came to our room within a few minutes to fix the problem. Kudos to the management and staff at the Seatac Airport Marriott!!

I checked in for business travel. The chowder with crab on top was yummy! I got ready to sleep and pulled back the sheets to find...the sheets were dirty with food, lint, and other unmentionables. The housekeeper did not bother to change the sheets from the last guest. The towels were dingy white and rough. I called downstairs and was told they would send up a key for a room change. The key was for a room next door. The room had a strong odor.--It was seemingly gaseous. I tried calling downstairs but no one would answer. I decided to walk downstairs and was told that there is no way the second room was not satisfactory. I asked for a foam pillow and new sheets. I offered to wait for them but was told they would be delivered. They were delivered but I decided to pay for a room elsewhere. I left at 2 am in the morning ...Needless to say I got a clean room and a good night at another hotel. It is unfortunate that my employer has a contract with them. I left several messages with the front desk staff to let my colleagues know I would meet up with them at the Airport. They never delivered the messages. They obviously don't believe in giving great service. or that they need to. I took a video of the filthy bed sheets but only photos can be uploaded.

As a lifetime titanium member I have had my fair share of Marriott experiences and as they go, this hotel ranks pretty well. Perhaps it’s because of my status that my room was away from the atrium noise that it was quiet. The bathroom when we first went into the room had a large puddle of water on the floor due to a leak but maintenance came up immediately and made the repair. Great service. My only complaint is that I inadvertently left a personal item in the room. When I asked that it be sent to me I was informed that the only way that would happen was if I had a fedex personal account. Under no circumstances, either usps or ups would my item be returned. I needed to open a personal fedex account . I don’t want a fedex account…just my property. I will point out that over 40 years of travel this has occurred perhaps 5 times and each time the item was packed and shipped no questions asked. Very poor customer service from people who only follow policy before thinking of their client. My item is now apparently the property of the hotel. Phil S.

Dear talking0ck, Thank you for taking the time to post your experience and for staying with Marriott. While I am pleased to learn you enjoyed the hotel, I was disappointed to learn your item was not returned to you. If you would like to contact the hotel and we indeed have the item, I would be happy to see it is shipped to you ASAP/ Please ask for Ms Hicks in housekeeping.

Our family has stayed at this property many times but not since 2018. We were looking forward to enjoying the beautiful atrium and pool once again. The last time we had enjoyed the amazing feeling of tropical luxury in the atrium with the soft welcoming glow of the lights and plants. The luxury created by this atmosphere was well worth the price, but not anymore. We were devastated upon arriving to learn that the pool was filled in and covered with carpet. The atrium plants and beauty were gone. It is now a big corporate event space like an open air convention center which many rooms look down into. I can't imagine why someone would book an event there with hotel guests being able to watch from their rooms. And the sound from events must echo through the whole hotel and into adjacent rooms. Once we arrived in the room, we found them completely changed. The warm and welcoming carpet is gone, replaced by dark modern tile with simulated wood grain. The style of the room is stark, cold and unwelcoming. The rooms are dark colors with very little lighting and very few mirrors which make these small rooms feel even smaller. I know this is the new Marriott look/style but it lacks the luxury of the past and feels like a cheap Ikea showroom, with less illumination. With the hard tile floors everywhere, we were expecting the robes and soft slippers to keep us comfortable, but these are not offered either. The beds were not luxurious either. They were just flat, sleeping places with a sheet and duvet. The towels were rough at best. The first room had no bathtub only a weird modern shower space with see-through glass so everyone in the room could watch you showering. We moved rooms to one with a bath tub. The bathroom has a sliding door that does not close all the way and has no way to lock it for privacy. The shampoo and conditioners bottles were glued to the walls of the shower like an old roadside motel. The bathroom only had one towel rack so wet towels had to go on the floor or counter. The shower head was a weird modern square shape with oddly placed angles. Again, the bath only had two lights so it was dark too. Finally, the concierge lounge was very disappointing. The breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon and toast. No cereal options, no bagels, no vegan, nor vegetarian options (besides a bag of slices apples). They offered one type of carrot muffin and no fruit. Even their drink machine only offered coffee or cocoa. There were no mocha or latte options like so many Marriotts offer now. The appetizers for the lounge are only served midweek and the lounge is only open limited hours on weekends. We will not be returning and wish we would have booked somewhere cheaper, with a pool and bigger rooms. If you are simply looking for a quick overnight before a flight, this hotel would work, but you can likely find a cheaper option.

Dear DRSchreiber, I am sorry to learn you were so disappointed during your recent visit. While we always appreciate constructive feedback, I thought I would take the time to share with our TripAdvisor readers some informational facts about your feedback. 1. The confirmation header when booking on Marriott.com clearly states in bold - Please note - Hotel no longer has a pool. 2. There are multiple pictures of guest rooms and bathrooms also on the Marriott.com site when making reservations. 3. No need to imagine as I can assure the hotel has utilized the new space to the delight of the event attendees, and guests enjoying the new 1600 sq ft fitness center. 4. The pool was vastly underutilized and made the hotel smell like choline. To date, only those who visited infrequently have missed it. 5. The new modern Marriott room design has been an overwhelming success the majority of guests have complimented. 6. The frosted glass wall showers are only in a select number of rooms with King beds, thus generally occupied by single travelers or guests who sleep in the same bed. 7. Usually, when traveling with family closing the bathroom door insures privacy. 8. Marriott mattresses are high-quality name-brand mattresses, and the hotel installed all new bedding when the renovation occurred. 9. The carpets were replaced with wood look flooring for a cleaner, more germ-free environment. 10. Marriott moved to “residential” style bath amenities for all its brands to lessen the pollution of small plastic bottles. 11. The Concierge Lounge serves complimentary eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, and a variety of breakfast pastries. Pancakes and special request items along with lattes are available in the restaurant. The Lounge conforms to Marriott standards in both hours of operation and food offerings. 12. It's always a good idea to look at a hotel website to confirm what you desire in a hotel is available.
