My husband, myself, and my sister had a lovely long weekend at Sagecliffe to celebrate my sister's birthday. The property couldn't be more well located, with amazing views of the Columbia River Gorge and surrounding countryside. We stayed for 3 nights in two different accommodations. The first night we stayed in adjacent Cliffhouse suites, each with a nice view and well situated next to the main building and Tendrils restaurant (brunch at Tendrils was delicious and the staff couldn't have been nicer). The second and third nights we stayed in a stunning lake home. For those who appreciate modern design and enjoy cooking, the lake homes are perfect. Beautifully designed by Olson Kundig, our home had tasteful and comfortable furnishings and a well-stocked kitchen that made it easy to cook family meals. While we enjoyed walks around the property, we loved being able to just relax and spend time in our home away from home. My sister and I had spa treatments (she had a massage and I had a facial), and both of us were blown away by the quality of the treatments. The staff there are highly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were also happy to meet Vince, the managing director of Sagecliffe, who was friendly, approachable, and clearly cares about providing a great guest experience. All in all, a great stay. We look forward to returning next spring or summer in warmer weather!

This is our first time visiting Sage Cliff and sadly will be the last. We frequently came to The Cave B Inn (the resort previously) and this has gone way downhill from what The Cave B was. First off, when we arrived, the front desk staff was extremely rude - didn’t say hello and acted irritated that we were there. The pool and the whole vibe of the resort feels like you are in a cheesy Cabo hotel - loud music, excessive drinking and just an overall party crowd. If that’s what you’re looking for then this might be the place for you. The pool music was so loud we couldn’t relax or read our books. The grounds aren’t nearly as maintained as they were before either. The worst part so far has been the restaurant - they were significantly understaffed and we waited nearly two hours for our food with no one checking in on us at all - I couldn’t even get a water refill. The food was way overpriced for what it was and it honestly felt as if you were sitting in a cafeteria. Very disappointing. Tendrils and the pool used to be the highlight of the resort and they were awful. This trip has been so bad that we are leaving early. We didn’t think to read all of the bad reviews before booking and now I wish we had! If you’re looking for a party crowd, loud music and lots of drinking then this is the place for you. However, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway at a winery with friendly staff and good service then I’d consider elsewhere.

My girlfriend and I have stayed at Cave B over the past 5 years. The new Sagecliffe ownership is a huge letdown on multiple fronts: 1) This place has an identity crisis. It used to be a relaxing oasis at the Gorge. The new ownership now caters to the concert party going crowd. The pool scene feels like a Cancun spring break party. Guests are required to wear wristbands, loud DJ dropping f-bombs, and a person next to me puking from too much alcohol. 2) No wine glasses or wine opener in the rooms. We're staying in the middle of a vineyard! And no Cave B Wine served at the restaurant. 3) Smaller TVs and uncomfortable furniture. Cave B cliffhouses used to have large TVs in the living areas and smaller TVs in the bedroom. Now there's only 1 small swivel TV in these units. The new couch is also super uncomfortable. 4) No more Keurig coffee in the room. The ownership switched to instant coffee. Not a wise move for your Seattle clientele. 5) Grounds are overgrown. The sagebrush was overgrown in our cliffhouse and obstructed our view. 6) My massage at the spa was far from luxurious. No robe provided, and no hot water in the relaxation room for tea or coffee. Positives: 1) Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, 2) New gym is a nice addition, 3) Outdoor fire pits will be nice once finished

We had an amazing time here. We stayed at the condo and the place was clean, organized, and had everything you needed. I’d bring my own kitchen knife next time though. I must say their shuttle service is top notch! I have no complaints about this place.

We stayed here for the first time for a music festival and we will never camp again and will always go to Sagecliff! This was worth every $ spent. The house and pool were amazing but Christie really made it special! She was on top of every detail and so sweet while doing so.

We stayed in the cavern rooms… And I have to say… what an amazing place to spend a weekend! 🤩 The staff was very accommodating and responsive no matter where we were. We had a great dinner at the restaurant, spent time at the pool, listened live music, and watched the sun set over the Columbia on the back patio. It was the perfect place for a weekend get away.

We had a lovely experience with our stay. This is a special place to spend time with a loved one or a group of friends and enjoy the surroundings and the winery. Even better, share your stay with a concert and their special farm to table meals. We had a particularly astute server named Daisy who took the time to notice some details about a reaction we had regarding a dish and with further investigation on her part we revealed a concern that she promptly made right by involving the very caring manager, Derek. Eric also helped us at breakfast and I failed to find out the young woman and the gentleman's name at the front desk, but they were also so nice and helpful. You will enjoy your stay immensely. I think ours was even better because my friend is a member, so look into those perks! This is a team that is attentive and cares, so constructive criticism is welcome and please be generous with your praise with a positive review. I'm sure these reviews are helpful and the hospitality industry is filled with hard workers who deserve to be cheered and appreciated.

We have stayed @ SageCliffe (Cave B Inn) oner the years. First was a few years ago for a show @ the Gorge, and again over the last year-year & 1/2 a few times to get out of town. When we stayed a few years ago, we didnt review, as we left thinking, meh, it was OK & odd...... But after re-visiting under the new ownership, felt its time for a proper review. Also just spent the night seeing The Lumineers last night :) I wont dwell on the former resort Cave B, but will focus on the rebranded SageCliffe. We usually reserve a Cliff House- the stand alone units scattered amongst the grapevines. All units we have stayed have had INSANE views from the floor to ceiling windows. We've been over winter where its covered in snow, still those views!!!! Cliff Houses are spacious, filled with light. Decor has been GREATLY updated with comfy furniture that compliments the architecture as well as the landscape. Bathrooms are large, LOVE their soaps/shampoos etc.Separate jetted tub/shower & private toilet +++ Checking in, there was a line, we were greeted nicely asked if we wanted to take seat until they were avail to check us in. Offered something from the bar while we wait, or a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie (DELICIOUS BTW). We got some water & cookies & had a seat. Check in was easy & professional, full of information about the resort, the map etc. We got Cliff House 3 this time. Drove to our unit, easy parking 50 feet away from the door. Room was delightful, new paint throughout just freshens it up. A/C was on, room was cool! AHHH!!! There is that view we love! Had some time before the show to hit the pool that was a short walk down a steep hill (if you have mobility issues, they will pick you up in these really cool electric "transporters". Pool is lovely, the new lounge chairs are SUCH an improvement!!! They bought COMFORTABLE lounge chairs! Thank you!!!! Noticed some cabana beds as well that looked lovely, didnt try them this time. Towels provided & in abundance. The bar @ the pool had a great variety of drinks & quick snacks. Attendant was fabulous & chatty :) You can also order fresh pizza from their wood pizza oven- they deliver!! Wasn't hungry, but noticed multiple pizzas being delivered poolside!!! We did have some margaritas- they were strong, no complaints but compliments!!! :) Every time we have been over the last year, we have seen improvements both with the resort & the staff. They are doing this right with this beautiful property. From the fire pits, volleyball courts, bocce ball, outdoor pool/ping pong- so fun. We will certainly be back & sing SageCliffe's praises!!

We had an amazing weekend staying in one of the Cliff Houses at the resort. Our waitstaff at the restaurant was incredible and attentive.
