Seemingly nice little motel in the mountains. The problem is they will never answer the phone when you call and you have a better chance of winning the lottery, then them calling you back. We are local and they are never full but I guess they're good with that equation. Customer service is a no-go with regards to customer communication so good luck, Quilcene's a great place but we all would be much better off with new ownership.
My husband and I stayed here while vacationing to Port Townsend. Cathy is a wonderful hostess. The rooms are neat and tidy. Quiet and quaint. We are always impressed with the service and will stay again.
I drove from Oregon and stayed for two nights. I was very tired from traveling and found the Mt. Walker Inn to be very clean and comfortable. I slept very well! Excellent customer service and beautiful surroundings. Enjoyable grounds for sitting outside and enjoying the views. I definitely recommend staying here and would come again!
Kathy runs a very nice place in a beautiful setting. The small town of Quilcene is surrounded by the Olympic National Forest. The National Forest ranger station is just across the street. Downtown Quilcene is just a few blocks away. But if you are looking for giant thick luxurious towels, a swimming pool and a valet..... keep driving. I spent four nights here in April 2019 and the quiet nights allowed me four good night's sleep. I would stay here again on my next visit. I am a non-smoker and there were no hints of residual smoke. Outdoor tables under gazebos are available.
It was a very comfortable stop on our Olympic loop. Our room was spacious and ckean. Our wifi and tv reception was good. It's a very quiet setting. The owners were able to tell us about local places to eat. We would diffently stay here again.
