I really enjoyed my 2 nights at this elegant, beautifully appointed Victorian mansion. The location is perfect. Best of all for me was the utter quiet -- no TVs, phones, fridges, ice machines, etc. The substitute innkeeper was friendly and fun. The price reflects the lack of breakfast and "mod cons," altho there is fine wifi. This is NOT your... More

This property is a gem. Filled with antiques and a first floor out of the Smithsonian. Each guest room is unique and a card on each door tells its story from the Starrett family. We stayed in the Nanny's room, the last one available for the Memorial Day weekend. Cozy, antique filled with a small modern bathroom and shower, it... More

A little worn at the edges but a good find with a lot of history, character and charm. Comfortable, spacious and quiet room (stayed in the Gable Suite). Located close to both historic water front and uptown district. The innkeeper Richard was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Port Townsend.

We were so blessed to stay in this mansion twice in March. This a lovely old mansion built for love. The style is, of course, Vuctorian and the amazing staircase with frescos of Ann at the top are surely a highlight. The innkeeper Richard is very helpful and we were able to store food and drink in the refrigerator in... More

Definitely a Funky old house. Don't know how safe it is as I noticed a fire escape (wooden ladder attached to the side of the house)just outside our window that had electrical wires just 6 inches from the top rung. so how are you supposed to use it? Not sure if this hotel has been inspected or if it's safe... More

If you like the idea of stepping back in history, you will enjoy a stay here. Don't go expecting all of your modern conveniences--it's a very old house. So yes, it creaks, and yes, you will need to climb the stairs, and yes, your bathroom will be tiny. In fact, most likely the original owners didn't have indoor plumbing. But... More

We stayed in the Master Suite which was decorated with many beautiful pieces from the past. A great view added to a very enjoyable stay. Our host was very friendly, plus gave us many ideas for evening dining. Summer rates are very reasonable.

I read the reviews on the Mansion and was somewhat apprehensive. Now that I have stayed there I am no longer concerned about the hotel, which was just fine, but rather the caliber of my fellow Trip Advisor reviewers. It is a restored Victorian Mansion not a new super luxury hotel. They charge $100/night which is less than some Motel... More

We stayed for 1 night in Anne's Parlor, and were very pleased with our accommodations. House is incredible, especially considering it was built in mid 1800's and all rooms had their own bathroom. Our room had small balcony with wicker furniture. For a house this large and old, upkeep would be tremendous yet owners have managed to maintain its décor... More

This place makes you feel like you are living in one of those awesome museums of houses that are historical monuments. It is the coolest place I have ever had the privellige of staying in. I couldn't believe the whole place was MINE to enjoy! The dining room is so opulent and amazing it's suck a treat to sit there!... More
