I often visit Port Townsend during the warm months and have stayed in most of the downtown hotels. The Water Street Hotel is on my short list mainly due to location: on the downtown waterfront overlooking Port Townsend Bay. The exterior of the ND Hill building is looking better than ever (I remember it being really beat during the Town... More

A great experience from start to finish. We were in Suite 1, a huge ground floor room with two queen beds and a (slightly obstructed) view of the water. My husband and 11-year-old said as we entered our room, "Wow! This is a GREAT room!" And it was. Lots of room, and very, very clean. Mary at the front desk... More

This hotel combined old world charm as a three story walk up with panoramic views of Puget Sound, Mt. Baker, Cascade Mountains and downtown Port Townsend. The front desk is efficiently run by kind staff, Mary without a computer. Rated range from $60 with a shared bath to $175 bay view. Baths are simple but rooms are spacious and comfortable.... More

I will definitely stay in this hotel again, if I find myself in Port Townsend. Our room was gorgeous, and very large. The woman who checked us in and out was very nice and friendly. The location was wonderful. I only have two complaints about this hotel. The couple who stayed in the room above ours was embarrassingly loud at... More

We stayed in Room 20. A basic, but very clean room with a queen bed. The ceilings are high and the room was quiet. Check in was quick and the woman at the front desk was professional and efficient. Given our experience it was very difficult to understand the folks who talked about "scary" Mary and room 20.

Lovely old hotel built about 1895. Large rooms, many with kitchens. Furnished with old victorian furniture, a bit eclectic. But uneven service. One room had all the kitchen dish ware (glasses and wine glasses) as well as plastic glasses in bathroom, the next room had neither. One room ran out of toilet paper not replaced by maids and no facial... More

We stayed here five days in Room 2. The people at the desk were friendly, it's definitely a "mom and pop" hotel, so I would probably call them if I needed to check in late. For business travel, they can't generate an email receipt, and the best receipt we got was the paper from the little card machine. Not a... More

We had three nights in suite 19, a large corner suite and socharming, with tall windows looking out on the town of Port Townsend, new carpet, antique-esque furniture in a vintage brick building. Suite 19 has a kitchen (note to chefs, no microwave) so we had breakfast at our own dining table each morning. There's a small view of the... More

We spent 2 days here in the top floor room, suite 16, and loved it! There were two day beds and a separate room with a very comfortable queen sized bed. A full kitchen, a very large bathroom and antique furniture throughout the suite made it a beautiful experience. Mary at the front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming. The... More

We stayed here for one night after arriving on the flight into Seattle. We were late arriving but helpfully the proprietor opened up for us. The room we booked was plenty big enough for the four of us although it was up three flights of stairs(I knew this on booking however!) room had character and had everything we needed. Could...
