We stayed in the deluxe cabins and really enjoyed the privacy and the assigned parking places, making it simple to come and go. The electric fire places were great and the hotel was within walking distance to the historic downtown area. I did not utilize the spa tub, but the shower had great water pressure. If you go in cold temperatures just be aware that the doors are not well sealed and you may feel a draft. There are two stair to access each cabin, which can be an issue for those with mobility challenges.
I love the cabins. They are so comfortable and they provide real dishes and silverware and glasses. I enjoy sitting outside in the Adirandack chairs and watching the world go by. I got take out food and ate in the cabin. Perfect for a solo getaway.
I was so excited this hotel had a vacancy when we decided to go to Port Townsend last minute. The location, staff and rooms are amazing. We brought our dog, and he was as welcome as we were, with a doggie supply bucket, water bowls and a small bed on the floor. You can walk to everything in downtown PT, off street parking and easy access to the water. Perfect!
I stayed in the main building. It was a small room but not cramped at all and very clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was great, my last two high end hotels I awoke with a back ache, here I awoke feeling refreshed without aches or pains. There is no closet, just a coat rack and minimal drawer space which was ok for an overnight as I did not unpack. A longer stay might have been complicated. They have separate cottages which looked nice and likely have closets and more drawers.
The opportunity to stay in the heart of Port Townsend is a delight. The hotel is charming and has everything you need and welcomes dogs in certain rooms. Perfect. Up early to the sound of seagulls, simply walk 500 feet to Velocity for the best latte and pastries and overlook the waterfront on your stroll. The Swan Hotel has the independent, part of the community feeling, that offers the best of Port Townsend. A place to go for quiet, fresh air and a kind community.
I surprised my husband for a mid-week getaway. I called The Swan to see if I could get the best room to look out on the ferries coming and going. Judy was awesome and helped me choose the best option. Then, we had told her that we'd be there a little early, and she was gracious enough to call as we were nearing our arrival to let us know she'd be at a meeting until just before we arrived, just in case we got there early. It was such a professional and still friendly gesture. The room was excellent - clean, inviting, with a great view.
The Swan was a great find for our holiday get away to Port Townsend. The cottages were spacious, clean, had assigned parking adjacent to our room and were right downtown. They were also priced competitively. We were very happy with the experience.
This hotel offers comfortable, quiet rooms with all the required amenities at a reasonable price. The office staff were particularly friendly and helpful, providing information about the local area, suggestions for places to eat (or get a coffee) and activities in town. They provided me with a box fan that I had requested when I made the online reservation.
As always we had a wonderful time this last weekend. The Swan is always our first choice when visiting Port Townsend. Very nice. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Love that “dog friendly “ option rooms. Thank you
Although we live in Edmonds, which is just a ferry ride and a fairly short drive away, we felt like we were far removed from hectic daily life. The Swan is quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to all the cute shops in old Port Townsend. We brought our two little terriers and felt most welcome. We were in a cottage and they left dog bowls, dog treats and towels to wipe their paws. We brought their crate, so when we wanted to walk to the movie or shop without them we were able to leave them and not worry. The cottage was very clean and the weekend was very enjoyable. We could just walk to the beach across the street or to the marina!
