Our first visit to Port Townsend and could not have chosen a better hotel to meet our needs. Front desk staff very helpful and most willing to attend to requests. Yes.there are stairs to climb our suite on 2nd floor) but well worth the effort. Rooms are not overly large but provide great atmosphere and all amenities. An extra touch...

Went on a mini vacation with my wife, just a quick get away. Decided to visit Port Townsand as we spent some good times touring the coastal forts (Fort Warden, Fort Casey and Fort Flagler) in the area a few years ago and wanted to visit them again. Decided on the Bishop due to the ranking here on TA and...

Friends and I spent a weekend in Port Townsend and since we had an odd number of people, we booked a suite at the Bishop. Suites are on the top floor and I see other reviewers remarked on the stairs. They are oddly proportioned stairs with older carpet on them so it pays to watch your step and use the...

Wonderful, elevator-less restored old hotel. We loved everything about it except that long flight of stairs. With knees soon to be replaced, this is the only drawback, but I'd do it again. Really nice people, nice room, nice restoration everywhere. Very romantic, and the young and romantic would have no problem with the stairs. Location is in the old part...

Dear Guest, We are so pleased to hear visiting our charming seaport town was a delightful experience. Thank you for the lovely review. Next time your travels bring you back this way, hopefully there will be one of the two suites just down the hallway from the main lobby available for your stay. Best regards,

Although we have been wanting to visit Port Townsend for awhile, our night here was because of an impromptu choice to leave the National Park a day early! GREAT CHOICE! Beautiful room, excellent customer service, great value, and a fun town to meander around. We will be back!

The Bishop Victorian Hotel in Port Townsend is a lovely hotel, thoroughly in keeping with the historical presentation of the old town area. However, if you have a room on the top floor, there are two long flights of quite steep stairs to negotiate. If you are only staying one night and you are on the top floor, we would...

We stayed 1 night in this hotel on the final night of our trip through Washington. The desk person was very friendly and helpful. The location was one block from the historic downtown main street, below the Victorian homes on the hill. There is a beautiful garden in the back of the hotel. Our room was laid out like a...

Not modern lodging, but super friendly staff, clean, and in the heart of the old town. If you are looking for the vintage Port Townsend B&B type experience, stay here. Numerous good restaurants within a block or two, waterfront two blocks away.
