We loved the location of this inn, right in the downtown area. Walking distance to the harbor, restaurants and shops. The suite is very practical and roomy for two people. The bed was a little firm for my taste but the cleanliness and charm made up for it. The front desk was very helpful in providing a walking map with...

This restored 1890's building is full of antique decor. The staff was friendly and eager to help. One cautionary note though, if you have a problem with stairs this might not be the place for you. The free continental breakfast delivered to our door each morning was a nice touch.

An 1890's restored building. Charming well appointed rooms. Each suite has a gas fireplace. Ours had a nicely equipped kitchenette with toaster, coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave. The suite was not huge but there was plenty of room. My wife remarked that the rooms are really more attractive than the online photos would lead you to think. Walking distance to everything...

Decided to stay the night instead of continuing our motorcycle trip north. Glad we did. The room on the ground floor was large and well suited for our needs. Loved the room's ambiance and the staff were extremely helpful. The delivered breakfast was a nice touch.

We chose this hotel so that we could stay in the Historic District of Port Townsend. We're glad we did. The hotel itself is historic. While being an older building the hotel is well maintained. Our room was pleasant, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their free continental breakfast, delivered to your...

My 90-year-old mother and I didn't have luggage (or even a toothbrush) so the front desk clerk cheerfully provided toothbrushes & toothpaste. Our one-bedroom suite was comfortable with a firm, not hard, king bed and a bright, cheerful and clean bathroom with big new soaking tub. Breakfast delivered outside the door at prearranged time. Selections mostly breads, cereals and yogurts,...

Our first visit to Port Townsend and could not have chosen a better hotel to meet our needs. Front desk staff very helpful and most willing to attend to requests. Yes.there are stairs to climb our suite on 2nd floor) but well worth the effort. Rooms are not overly large but provide great atmosphere and all amenities. An extra touch...

Went on a mini vacation with my wife, just a quick get away. Decided to visit Port Townsand as we spent some good times touring the coastal forts (Fort Warden, Fort Casey and Fort Flagler) in the area a few years ago and wanted to visit them again. Decided on the Bishop due to the ranking here on TA and...

Friends and I spent a weekend in Port Townsend and since we had an odd number of people, we booked a suite at the Bishop. Suites are on the top floor and I see other reviewers remarked on the stairs. They are oddly proportioned stairs with older carpet on them so it pays to watch your step and use the...

Wonderful, elevator-less restored old hotel. We loved everything about it except that long flight of stairs. With knees soon to be replaced, this is the only drawback, but I'd do it again. Really nice people, nice room, nice restoration everywhere. Very romantic, and the young and romantic would have no problem with the stairs. Location is in the old part...
