Enjoyed a lovely glass of Prosecco and their charcuterie board — in the garden. Sunshine on a beautiful autumn day. Room was ok. Staff was superb. Just off the main downtown street — a little more quiet — and so convenient to great restaurants and shopping.

Hotel's Favorite
We arrived to be greeted by an enthusiatic desk clerk in the downstairs cafe who educated us about the hotel and all its property has to offer. We paid $10 for a designated parking spot on the property to avoid 2 hr enforced street parking. Our room was very well appointed and comfortable with lights on and fans running on our entry. The combination of historic and fresh and new was perfect. High end toiletries and bedding, soft pillows, quality coffee, tea and cocoa, red and white wines for purchase in the charming kitchenette, and a lovely lighted garden with umbrellaed tables and firepits for outdoor enjoyment. Downstairs coffee bar with fresh baked pastries, dinners available several days of the week--can't think of a thing not thought of to offer a better experience.

Port Townsend is one of our favorite getaways, usually just day trips. Since the Bishop had a room open, we decided to spend the night. Great decision! The rooms still maintain a lot of the building's historic feel, but also have some updated features. There's no A/C, but the ceilings are high, there's are ceiling fans, and windows that open. Even in a west-facing room, on one of the hotter days of the month, we were comfortable. The garden, with a bottle of wine, was a great respite after an evening of dinner and music on the pier. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The cafe and wine shop are an added bonus. We will definitely be back and stay at least one night if not two!

We love visiting the Bishop Hotel! The people are very service oriented making sure we make the best of our time there. We hang out in the lobby and visit or relax in the gazebo on the patio. There is lots to do close by. They have a great selection in their bottle shop and make a great latte. It is just the best place to visit. I highly recommend it to anyone going to Port Townsend!

As an owner of an inn for 20 years in Hawaii we know first hand the amount of work it takes to maintain quality. Friendly, super clean , comfortable, pet friendly and a great location. These nice people are doing it right! Not to mention the best croissants we’ve had in a long time ! We will be back next time we visit the NW.

Lovely hotel in the heart of town. We were blown away by the Victorian charm, relaxing gardens, delicious gourmet offerings, friendly hospitality of the proprietors. To top it off, our dog was welcomed with treats and other accoutrements. We look forward to returning as soon as possible!

Our room was in the front of the hotel was large and comfortable. Jessica and Eric were warm and welcoming. The common area had a place to buy wine and cheese to bring up to your room or hang out in the common area and enjoy. It is also a espresso and pastry bar in the morning. Just remember, there is no a/c and the birds are up early. If back in Port Townsend, we will definitely stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

My girlfriend and I visited Port Townsend for her birthday weekend. This building and the people who manage it are a gift to the city. The wine shop is a gem, and the rooms are nice and it’s in the perfect location. We will stay here every time we come back to town.
