What a fantastic experience! Wonderful waiter. Always asked, "how would you like that prepared? We'll fix it exactly the way you want it." And they sure did! They are so accommodating in their service! If you don't like what you order it's on you. Clean and fair prices. Highly recommend. Our best experience in Port Townsend!!!

My husband and I frequent Pt Townsend and have stayed at a few hotels. Thought we'd try the Bellmont since it's old and right downtown, plus it was a good rate for a night. Now I have no misconceptions about what being built in the 1800s means and I like funky. But this place was just gross. the vibe is very depressing and to top it off, there is a leak in the hallway. This is a leak that has been there for sometime. when we returned from a night out, it was pouring rain outside AND inside!! No bucket, no nothing to capture the water. It just poured rain on the carpet and imagine it is also downstairs in the kitchen. can't believe the health department hasn't shut them down. By the looks of it, this leak happens all the time and is ignored. I am disgusted by their hotel and they should be embarrassed taking ANY money form ANYONE. If you want to stay at old and funky, with no leaks and people who actually care, stay at the Water Street Hotel. No leaks, no mold, warm and dry. The Bellmont needs to be closed and condemned.

I visit here every other year and always stay at the Belmont. I love the views and ambiance. They really take Care if you. I was in room 3, which is my pick every year. I was alone but they have a ladder that goes up to another bed, which kids would love looking at whoever is downstairs and at the bay. You have to understand it is a super old hotel, could use new carpet but it’s clean and quant. All I require. I had the owners buy me a drink while working one afternoon because room 3 does have great internet. Brick walls with notes, shells, memorabilia stuffed in gaps in the bricks. They refreshed my room when I was out too❤️

Three years ago we had a great stay here. The long rickety staircase, the somewhat "old antique" aroma and other lightly funky elements were all a part of The Belmont's character. It was clean enough (not perfect because it's so old) back then to not be offensive as the real charm and sense of history still shown through. We love every moment of our stay. A couple of weeks ago, July 31st to be exact we figured we were due for another dose of it's charm and booked room #3, our favorite. We did not step into charm by any stretch of the imagination. Climbing up the once "cool old staircase" we found the handrail broken and missing pieces but patched together with duct tape. Duct tape??? to repair an important safety element!!! It appeared that the tape had been there for a while. Okay...kind of ignored that one. At the top of the stairs an old sheet of plywood precariously leaned against the hall wall. Ignored that too. I hate to give the old girl a bad review but here goes. The first thing I noticed upon entering the room were two large yellow stains that appeared to be from spilled bleach in prominent areas of the carpet. The bathroom was not in any way clean, unless black mold around the tub and in cracks in the floor can be considered clean. YUK! The bed cover had some kind of crumbs or something on it. Still not totally discouraged yet we folded it back thinking of a few moments to enjoy the ambiance. The wrinkled bed sheets did not look clean or even well made for that matter. Our rest lasted for about 3 minutes. The we really took a look around at the place. It was really clear that the "management ??" does not care about cleanliness. Age, quaint and antique do not equate to dirt. There is more I can point out but who cares at this point. It's clear that the management doesn't. We were done. So disgusted that at 5pm a mere 2 hours after we checked in, I delivered the key to the hotel manager, told him the place was filthy and left. So irritated that I didn't even request a refund. I think my wife my give the hotel a call soon and make her plea. The upshot is we went down the street to the Swan Hotel and had an absolutely fantastic stay. Sorry to say......the Belmont is history for us.

This is a pretty, little, old, family hotel in the heart of Port Townsend. There is a private entrance next to the restaurant, then a flight of stairs to get up to the rooms. No elevator. We didn't mind that, or the lack of TV in the room, or the general aged condition of the room. The room was clean, the bed was easy to sleep in, the view is incredible, as is the location, which is really at one end of the main drag in PT. We spoke with the owner a few times, and he was always very pleasant and friendly, and wanted to make sure we were having a good time. The housekeeping staff was very friendly too, they have a great atmosphere here, and we had a pleasant stay. In the morning we sat and drank coffee while looking at the sailboats out the window and watched the deer come and drink and eat out of the bay. Nice place!
