We stayed one night and the only room left was their deluxe double queen Jacuzzi room. The room rate for a Friday night was $292.00. The hotel is a dump! The room decor is from the 70's. Spiders on the wall! The front door doesn't/wouldn't lock from the inside. And this room was in the newest part of the property.... More

We have stayed here many times. This is one of the few hotels on the water. The location is the draw. The rooms in the old section are nothing special, but sitting on the balcony, 10 feet from the water is great. The winter rates are great. Summer is higher, but why go to P.T. if you can't see the... The best feature of this hotel is its superb ocean view. But if you need any help from the staff, forget about it. The first morning of our stay, the breakfast room was locked and a sign had been placed on the front door: "This hotel is closed." Pretty weird!

The location is pretty good - A couple of blocks from downtown and a short drive to Safeway and the brewery. The rooms are a bit old, but my room had a balcony looking out to the ocean and with a hot tub! WiFi was pretty good and the complementary breakfast was alright. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Service is excellent we have stayed at The Tides many times on our weekend trips to Port Townsend. Skeeter at the front desk goes above and beyond to get us the best room. Rooms are clean and most have a gorgeous view of the water. Lodging is convenient to shops and restaurants.

The room was nice, but it could have been cleaner. The nightstand had a glass cover and under it was dusty. Thought the room would be larger for a two queen bed room. The jacuzzi bath was very nice even with one of the jets not working. The view was gorgeous! Had some seagulls that came to visit and perched... More

Stayed twice in a week. Both times were great. Had room 19 which has a bay view from the window and mountain view from the sliding door. Had nice deck to sit out on and watch sunset. Room was large with kitchenette. Has NO air conditioning so room was hot when we went in. Opened windows and turned on fan... More

Thank you for sharing your experience in one of the popular room in our original building (Tides Inn). The room does offer a beautiful water front view with a special large deck. In our newer building (Tides Suites) next to the original building, the rooms offer upscale amenities including air-conditioning, gas fireplace and in-room jacuzzi tub. We appreciate your review... We went on a weekend trip for our anniversary and because of the dates we were going, and the short notice, we didn't have much choice of where we stayed, actually the only options we were giving on these dates were The Tides Inn and something I think was called the motor inn, I wasn't very please, because I had... We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your anniversary weekend with us. The water view is beautiful and the walk to downtown is approximately 1/2 mile. It is a very safe and well traveled straight path with wide sidewalks (we are on the same street as main street downtown). The decoration in the PREMIUM rooms are little more French... More

We fell in love with Port Townsend on our first visit recently. The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk to town and very accessible to the Washington State Ferry. We stayed In a suite and highly recommend that type of accommodation. Ours was a second floor corner room with large windows facing the water and a deck to... More

We just keep coming back annually for a getaway. Always ask for Room 20 because it has a wrap around deck and views from right over the water. Enjoy watching the wild life like Herons, Gulls and Otters right off the deck.

We also have our PREMIUM rooms in our newer building (Tides Suites) that features water front view with private deck. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again next... More
