We stayed in Miss Genevieve. Pros: the building itself was lovely. Our room was spacious & the bed comfy. the staff were friendly & accommodating. Location was central, right downtown. Value was exceptional. Cons: there is a lot of street construction going on right now almost directly outside the hotel's front door. This detracts a bit from how primo the... More

We stayed in Miss Lou's 3rd floor room which had a beautiful view of the ocean. The check in was fast and efficient and Bob from Boston was very friendly and most helpful. The room was bright with high ceilings, neatly decorated Victorian style and had a tv, fridge and microwave. If you go, make sure to stop across the... More

The Palace hotel is right in the heart of down town with plenty of restaurants, shopping and coffee shops within easy walking distance. Although perhaps a 10 - 15 minute walk uptown, we found a very nice movie theater showing three different 1st run movies. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been nicer. They provided us short list of... More

I rolled off the ferry from Whidbey Island after camping in the rain --a quite common occurrence in these parts -- and this was the first hotel I saw. It looked pricey, but the young woman behind the counter gave me a great discount 'cos there were so few customers in early May. I loved the room! Immensely high ceilings,... More

A stay at the Palace Hotel completes your feeling of being transported to another era in Port Townsend. No elevators, no air conditioning, and furnishings in period pieces. We stayed in Miss Lou which has a very comfortable king bed on the top floor (think stairs!) and a view out over the water. It has a shower stall in the... More

The good: the staff at the front desk are excellent - maps, recommendations, do you need a hair dryer or iron, do you need an umbrella, etc. We stayed in Captain Tibbal's room, and it was large and comfortable. There were two full size beds with enough thick blankets to keep even those with popsicle toes nice and warm. Nice... More

We stayed in the Miss Marie room (my personal favourite) and had a wonderful stay. As kearnybird said, they leave the room doors open when not rented so I checked out almost all of them over the course of three days. Miss Marie is on the second floor front corner, giving lots of light from the floor to ceiling corner... More

The Palace has been lovingly restored and is filled with early 20th century decor. It's like staying in a museum with modern conveniences. The staff was extremely accomodating. Bob was especially helpful and courteous. We will be back.

I just spent 2 nights in this hotel and was EXTREMELY happy with my choice. Check-in was quick and easy. The hotel has no elevators but the desk clerk happily carried my bags to the 2nd floor. I was very impressed when he addressed me by name the next night when I had a question. When I came back later... More

The Palace Hotel is beautifully unique. I stayed in the Miss Kitty room, the corner room with a view. I'm so glad I found this place! It's not your usual hotel. It has a history and much character. Each room is different....and I appreciate that the hotel leaves the room doors open when the rooms aren't in use. You can... More
