We walked on the ferry from Seattle to Bremerton. After touring the USS Turner Joy we took the foot ferry to Port Orchard. Lorraine's house is a short walk up the hill from the foot ferry. She was a friendly and hostess and enjoyed getting to know her. We had a lovely room with a shared bathroom. Breakfast was informal... More

Great historic home that is very well taken care of by Lorraine! She is a very kind host that will give you great local tips and chat with you or give you your privacy. Breakfast was delicious--Greek yogurt, granola, fresh fruit salad! Her house is a quick walk away from downtown. We will stay here again. Thanks Lorraine! :)

The living area with gas fireplace is restful and prepares one for a night of relaxed sleep. Harry's room is spacious and the bed is supplied with... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Mrs. Howe’s Bed and Breakfast in Port Orchard, Washington. It was our first B&B experience, and it was delightful! Upon our arrival, the air was cold and crisp outside, yet the doors of the B&B opened to a warm and cozy home. The owner/innkeeper, Lorraine Olsen, was a very welcoming, hospitable hostess and...
