What an Awesome place to stay!!
Literally 2 minute walk to the most beautiful beach in Washington! (1 minute if you're excited to get to the beach! 😁 )
We've stayed here off & on for over 15 years! The Pacific Beach Inn just gets better and better! They have updated all the rooms and continue to do so! It's perfect for a couples retreat or family stays, even larger family stays. The rooms we've stayed in have always been very well equipped with pretty much anything you'd need during your stay. Kitchenette style is our favorite! Nice, private, furnished back porches to hang out, & view the beach! Full size fridge, stove/range, nice fixtures and hardware throughout, and even a 40" tv! 2 bedroom units are great for kids, especially while vacationing with teens!
The cleanliness is absolutely TOP NOTCH!! We are always astonished by the detailed cleanliness and great smelling rooms! it makes things so much more comfortable!!
And last but not least, the staff, kind, hard working, local people are the most hospitable and professional folks you could ever experience anywhere!! They always have been!!
So please, make some reservations, go stay there, you'll be so happy you did!!

We were late arriving but the manager was very good about it when we called ahead to let him know.
We had a cottage type room with a great view of the beach from 1 window and the dunes from the other window.
Cottage was very clean and we thought this king bed was the most comfortable bed we had on our trip!
The room had a little kitchenette and table so we could eat breakfast easily.
The bathroom was clean and my only suggestion would be to put up a shelf for our toiletries bags.
The town is lacking restaurants and food, so i would suggest people get their provisions ahead of time.
We enjoyed walking the beach in both directions and watching all the kite fliers.
Lots of shells and sand dollars on the beach to look at during the walk.
I would say we would stay here again but not more than 2 nights because there are no nearby hikes or golf.

We stayed at the Pacific Beach Inn for a couple nights at the beginning of July. Our room had two queen beds and a small kitchenette. It had plenty of room for four of us including our dog. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were on the second floor and while we didn’t have a balcony we still had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach which our kids loved. The hotel, beach and community were quite which was fantastic.

For a two star hotel it is pretty nice. Room 6 was spacious and clean; the furniture while modest was in excellent condition; kitchenette had toaster, full fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker. Recommend upper floor because you get a nice view of the ocean over the adjacent one story building. They are obviously making an effort with an older building - new shingle siding, new porch railings, etc.
Only complaint was that sink and tub drained slowly. Would stay there again.

The check in process was smooth, with easy parking right in front of your room. The room was very clean and well set up with the full size fridge, microwave, plates / cutlery, and everything we would need. It was just a short walk to the beach and also easy access to the local coffee shop.

This property is incredibly overpriced for what it is. They've made an attempt at a few little upgrades but could do so much more. $175 for a Sunday night, in the winter for basically a 2 star hotel room is a sham. It's old and the property could use additional maintenance. Not right on the ocean. Rickety rusty fence between. When we pulled the bedding back there was a long black hair...not ours. Man checking us in/out was very friendly but his appearance & that of the office sums up this place. Booked off of this site's reviews. This time, we were very misled.

Response from Katy Lubbe, Owner at Pacific Beach Inn
Responded Mar 22, 2023
Hello, Thank you for visiting our Pacific Beach Inn! We are sorry your experience was not as expected. We take pride in providing an excellent product at an economical price point. Room #6 where you stayed, though not one of our two bedroom units with an ocean facing deck, has a full ocean view. It is lovely and spacious, well maintained, with 2 queen size beds, a sofa seating area, kitchenette and dining area. We think that our rate of $155 plus tax per night, with no additional fees, is an excellent rate for this area, particularly during both spring break and a highly sought after clam dig weekend. Our cleaning staff routinely receive rave reviews, as does our front desk. We appreciate all feedback and continually strive to improve our hospitality. We will pass on your comments about the fence to our neighbors who own it. Usually it is hidden by our lush cottage garden. Thanks, Pacific Beach Inn

Pacific Beach Inn is our "go-to" destination for the coast. We rent a 2 bedroom for our two couples. The kitchen is well stocked with basics for preparing our meals. The beds are comfortable and the living room is cozy with the gas fireplace.
Customer service is always stellar! Josh has been at the desk for years. He is always gracious and accommodating.
The location can't be beat: a very short walk to the beach. Terrific for razor clamming!

Had a great view from our deck and room, with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, and very comfy beds. The town is small, but friendly, with two good places to eat, and/or drink, plus others near by. The beach is amazing, and only a short walk. I plan to go again soon.

We (wife, niece, dog, myself) had a very enjoyable stay, found it to be a great value for the money, and anticipate that we will return. We stayed in Room 11, which has two bedrooms each with queen sized bed. The property’s website features details and photos of each room.
A few comments:
(1) The room and furnishings were clean and modern.
(2) The room included a large refrigerator/ freezer, electric stovetop with 4 burners, oven, sink, as well as an assortment of cooking equipment and dishes.
(3) To get from the inn to the beach, you walk perhaps 75 yards to the south down a lightly traveled road, then turn right and walk another ~100 yards along a trail over some dunes, and then you come to the beach. It'll take you 3 minutes. No other lodging option in the area puts you closer to the beach.
(4) The couple who currently manages the property, and live on site, are exceptionally friendly and seem to take a lot of pride in the place. They also promptly responded to a couple of questions I sent by email in advance of my stay.
(5) Presumably you come here to go off the grid a bit, but just in case not, the inn provides free wifi (worked fine in my room, though other reviews here indicate it may not reach certain other rooms). I had two bars on my Verizon phone. Selection of TV channels was typical for any hotel.
(6) I had no major complaints. If in the interest of balancing the review I have to provide some “constructive feedback” it might be that the mattresses were a bit soft, and no shampoo is provided (I would have no issue with bringing my own shampoo if I had known in advance it was not provided, but on the other hand it would probably be awkward for any hotel or inn to put on its website, “we do not supply shampoo”.)
For dog parents out there:
(1) I really appreciate that this inn welcomes 4-legged guests, but non-dog people should not let that fact deter them. Sometimes when places openly welcome pets, you worry that the rooms will have a “wet dog smell” and dirty carpeting, but truth be told you would never know that dogs have stayed at the place. The property has a small grassy “backyard”, directly accessible from first floor rooms (by way of a pleasant wooden deck furnished with chairs and a table), where dogs can do their business (and of course responsible guests will clean up). There’s also a hose outside that guests can use to wash sand off their furry friends after a trip to the beach, and the inn provides dog towels.
(2) The beach is also quite dog friendly. It is nice to have a large expanse of beach where “dog parents” can let their friendly, fun-loving canine companions run free without worry of being hassled by some overzealous cop or park ranger.
About Pacific Beach:
(1) It is a quiet, humble community. Kind of a nice compromise between wilderness beaches and the overcommercialized and crowded beach locations like Ocean Shores.
(2) There are some small stores and no frills eateries; no chain dining or chain fast food. There is a small grocery store about a one minute walk from the inn, and a little coffee shop across the street.
(3) The beach is very expansive, even at high tide, and at low tide it is crazy wide. Suggest you bring waterproof boots that are close to knee-high so you can have fun traversing shallow waters to access sand bars and such.
(4) Do be aware that like any beach in the Pacific Northwest, sunny warm days are uncommon. It can be 90 degrees with clear blue skies only 15 miles inland, but foggy, misty, cool, and windy at the coast. And it can be sunny now and then pea soup fog 30 minutes later. So bring cool weather clothing.
(5) The shore at Pacific Beach does not have any rock formations . . . I'd suggest heading up the coast to the beach portion of Olympic National Park for that.
(6) You can drive out onto the beach from a location about a mile north of the inn, which is kind of a novelty. However, (thankfully) the portion of the beach adjacent to the inn is off-limits to vehicles.

We had no idea what to expect when my sister-in-law made reservations for the Clam opening weekend in April, but when we arrived I was delighted to see the Ocean less than a block away and the building, while old, was wonderfully clean, well maintained, really cute and well supplied with all the amenities. We shared one of the Suites with two bedrooms and a large Kitchen with all the cooking equipment provided there. We enjoyed the surrounding area and found we could dig our Clams right out on the beach in front of the Hotel! Very homelike atmosphere and I would definetely go back.

I doubt it, but as long as you don't have a room on the second floor, you're steps away from a parking area where you can probably indulge.
Hi there!
We do have rooms with 2 separate sleeping areas. These rooms also have full kitchens. Rooms 7, 11 and 8 are our 2 bedroom units. Rooms 7 and 11 are on the bottom floor and room 8 is on the top floor. Don't hesitate to give us a call if you have any other questions!
Have a great day!
