Don and Linda are extremely knowledgable and well traveled hosts. Don took time to personally guide us in kayaks to tour the nearby Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, where we were afforded close-up views of harbor seals, eagles, great blue herons and hundreds of other birds. Their tastefully remodeled home sits above a small cove overlooking Puget Sound, just minutes away... More

Had an event nearby and did not want to stay in a highway interchange motel. Found this online and it was all that it purported to be for just a few dollars more. Lovely setting, spotless, well appointed rooms and wonderful peace and quiet. Don and Linda are gracious hosts that are available when needed or just for a visit,... More

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast on Puget Sound in Olympia, Washington. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sound with a panoramic view of the beautiful water vista. The innkeepers are not only wonderful hosts, but they care about the environment and maintaining harmony with the nature that surrounds them. The inn is like stumbling on to a... More

Attention was payed to every detail that makes a vacation truly relaxing. Each room in the Inn was decorated beautifully. The grounds and the view were gorgeous. What a treat to have coffee served in your room (from a silver pot, on a silver tray) thirty minutes before breakfast was served! And speaking of breakfast, who knew a healthy breakfast... More

The Inn at Mallard Cove is a beautiful destination. When we arrived, our host Linda showed us around and we realised that the inn is a real labour of love. The rooms are beautiful and you certainly won't be disappointed. We also loved the library and sunroom. The breakfast was delicious, all home cooked from scratch. The inn is a... More

We had the most wonderful experience as soon as we entered the door. We took our cocktails down to the gaezebo overlooking the Puget Sound for sunset. The bed though smaller than my husband and I were used to was a extremely comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and served on their fine china, silver and beautiful linens. I especially loved... They have a two night minimum and we needed a place to stay for one night. I asked if we could have an available room if it wasn't taken that day after 3pm for one night, but the owner said that if we didn't stay two nights, we couldn't have the room. So, they would rather lose $199 on an... More

One of those policies is a two-night minimum stay from May though October. The reviewer made her request on May 28 for a one-night stay on Saturday, May 29. This was Memorial Day Weekend, one of... The location is simply stunning. The Inn itself is comfortable, warm, clean and well laid out. It is an interseting building in its own right. The rooms and bathrooms are all ample, the whole builing is very light and airy. Besides the house is a small and interesting creek, whilst a beach walk is well worth the eforrt. Bird (and... More

Fantastic view from each room, gourmet breakfasts (poached pears are to die for!), cozy fires in the library and living rooms, coffee delivered to your room each morning, freshly baked cookies in the evening, walks on the beach, great restaurants nearby (CEBU), exceptional hosts, what else could you ask for?

We were in the middle of a brand new career move, relocating out-of-state, AND, getting married too ( yes- we are not kidding-LOL) We chose the Inn at Mallard Cove for our honeymoon night- just by the description off their web site- and we were blessed!! What a wonderful respite, a grand oasis of peace, stillness and hospitality. Everything about... More
