Doe Bay has one of the most beautiful pieces of property you could ask for. They also have a very large garden, where most of their fresh produce comes from; you can taste that it was picked probably a few hours before you eat it. But don't stay here if you want to relax in comfort. I stayed in one...

We stayed at Doe bay for three nights in a 8 person Deluxe cabin. We booked this cabin so we would have adequate room for our family of 6 and a place to cook meals as well. This was good in theory, in practice it was a different story. The cabin did have 8 beds, one queen and a set...

This place is BEAUTIFUL. It is more set up for glamping than as a resort---and this isn't communicated as well as it could be. We stayed in the tree house, there is no kitchen or coffee and the communal kitchen (two stoves/ranges, 1 microwave, one coffee brewer and 2 large refrigerators you can use as long as food is labeled)...

A stayed at Doe bay resort and retreat for a few days last year in March. I read rave reviews about it online and it looked like just what I needed. I wanted an isolated spot to relax preferably a healing retreat. I live in Seattle and I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg to go too...

We accidentally stumbled upon this place (and were thrilled to have secured a last minute reservation.) We parked our tent at our "reserved site" on a ledge over looking the water and bay. Amazing. Woke up to sea lions swimming outside - more amazing. The place had charm - the wheelbarrow to get your things to the site on the...

Underwhelming, despite reviews and focus on local, fresh ingredients. Service was slow and laissez-faire, food came out lukewarm and portions were meager. As we came in, the server was eating a meal at the bar and no one bothered to greet us. Both children ordered two kids' meal menus apiece and were still hungry when done. Food was uninspired. Biscuits...

Last September my girlfriend and I stayed in a Yurt for 4 days and had one of the best most relaxing trips of our lives. Orcas is a gem and I believe doe bay is the best part of it all. Tucked away on the far side of the island it makes for a great drive around the island to...

We traveled as a family of five to this resort during the labourday weekend in Septemeber. We stayed at the Padema cabin. This is a typical clean heated cabin with a small kitchenette. No house keeping during the days we were there. We did not go into their famous spa hot tub nor had a chance to dine in the...

My husband and I recently stayed in the Orca Yurt at this resort for 3 nights, after Labor Day. The amenities in the yurts are minimal, so bring your own stuff. They provide large carts to carry your stuff into your location. Some yurts and campsites are a 6 minute walk in (not far unless you are hauling a large...

I recently had the pleasure of organizing my company's second retreat at Doe Bay. We rented out almost half of the resort for a three day period and had a really great time. The staff really catered to us wonderfully as we put on a rather elaborate program. If you are looking for a beautiful, secluded and unique venue for...
