This business will bill your credit card without so much as a call. There are many places to stay in the area and if you don't want to have work to do after your visit then stay some place else. Nothing worse than getting home and being more stressed than when you left.

I'll mention the good things first: (a) one of the beds was quite comfortable (b) it was quiet. Otherwise: Managers were only on site a few hours per day, which made getting service for the main problem I had (wifi was down) difficult. Then I finally found somebody in at the office and mentioned my problem and she said "she would look into it." But the service went down late Friday night and never came back up until Sunday a.m. just before we left. Then it looked to me that somebody *changed the password* sometime Sunday a.m. Anyway, there are automated systems you can get to tell you when these systems go down and that call somebody competent into bring them back up. I'd have preferred to not even have wifi offered as a service rather than this crummy operation.

We just returned from five nights at Shakti Cove Cottages and have nothing but good things to say about this place. Check in was quick and easy with minimal contact. Jeff, the owner, wss friendly and helpful. We stayed in Bear Cabin so can't really speak to the other lodging choices but Bear Cabin was comfortable and relaxing. Bear Cabin sits off to one side by itself so it's very private. It has a small kitchen with a gas stove/ oven, small refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave. Everything we needed for our stay. There are even grills available for outdoor use. The bathroom is small but efficient with plenty of storage. The shower is small but just fine and since the cabin has a tankless water heater, endless hot water. The bedroom is of ample size and the bed is comfortable. The entire cabin is tongue and groove with plenty of bear pictures and ornaments everywhere. The sofa in the living area is also comfortable and there is a television mounted above the table and chairs in the dining area. It's large enough but honestly we were too busy enjoying the area to bother watching it. Outside there is a porch with a small table and chairs and a large area where there is a firepit set up. We had a wonderful fire going two nights and enjoyed sitting next to it, under the stars. There is also a path nearby that leads through the trees down to the beach which seems endless and has few people on it. Shakti Cove Cottages is in Ocean Park near to local restaurants and stores. Just off the property is a coffee place. It's also just a short drive to Long Beach for additional restaurants or Cape Disappointment which is a beautiful state park. It's also a short drive to Oysterville which is also worth seeing. I highly recommend Shakti Cove Cottages and specifically Bear Cabin if you plan on visiting Ocean Park or Long Beach. I would certainly return!

This little enclave of about a dozen cabins is in a nice quiet cul-de-sac that is a fairly short walk (quarter mile) through sand dunes to the lovely and well-named Long Beach. The cabins are rustic, but were clean and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and furniture, and a well-appointed kitchen. We cooked some of our meals here and baked some cupcakes and rolls for our breakfasts and lunches. Even though the location was quiet and isolated, it was a short drive into Ocean Park for groceries, and not far to many of the Willapa Bay Wildlife Refuge locations.

A magical oasis! We discovered Shahti Cottages when we searched for “dog friendly” logging on the Long Beach Peninsula. When I called to learn more about the site, I spoke with the owner Jeff. He was very pleasant and answered all my questions. We arrived after a 3 plus hour drive with low expectations, man…were we wrong. The property is very historic, nestled just a 7-minute walk down a beautiful path to the ocean. Our cottage was situated next to a quiet slough with an eagle’s nest in the tree above. The cabin was nicely appointed with modern yet retro conveniences (great shower head). The grounds had BBQs, fire pits, and all were dog friendly. Highly Recommended!!

Yes I say perfect because it is. They are the perfect combination of beach and forest. You are close to the beach and the cabins are set in a grove of evergreens that make you feel like you are in the forest. They offer loads of extras and are the nicest people!!

Very comfy and quiet, and VERY dog friendly. Nice small cottages tucked in the woods. Hear eagles calling in the trees all day. Very short walk to the beach. Close to restaurants and stores and other amenities. Friendly owners. I would definitely stay here again.

Found an ad for this place on Longbeach and figured the wife, the dog and I could use a respite. Awesome! This is not a fancy place. Don't expect room service, google eats, or chrome and marble bathroom fixtures. It had hot water, a shower, an Eisenhower era fridge and oven (both of which worked BTW) It had a nice comfy bed, cool staff, nice enough TV and was quiet and close to the beach. They had wifi, so don't act all tech butt-sore. It was 5 minutes from the beach, the dog loved it and the wife couldn't have been happier. So yeah. Excellent.

This review is based on my experience in the Bear Cabin #11 My hubby and I stayed here for his birthday and Father’s Day and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the “Bear” cabin, which is the newer cabin that has been remodeled. It was very nice inside with an updated kitchen, bathroom, and separate sleeping area. The cabin included all the basics we needed and was cozy but not cramped. Some people have mentioned mold and mildew in the cabins. We had no problem with moisture, mold, or a musty smell at all. They cabin we stayed in also had a dehumidifier, which I am sure helps a lot. This area of the peninsula was foggy and drizzling most of the day. You can tell this is a high humidity area by the amazing new growth on the pine trees and the luscious vegetation in the area. The owners and the housekeeper were very friendly and welcoming. They seem more than happy to do what they could to make our stay enjoyable and supply extras, such as BBQs, if you ask. Only concerns.... (Reasons I didn’t give the place 5 stars.) The owners’s little dog came over to our site a couple of times and each time decided to do his business near our picnic table, while we were eating, and then mark his territory on our tires and the picnic table. I understand dogs can’t and shouldn’t be tied up, but it was a bit irritating especially with all the posted pet requirements and expectations. I hope someone picked up his “gifts”. Glad we didn’t have a dog with us. Internet was awful! It worked on Sunday when we got there but that was it. After that, the signal was too weak and when I did get a signal, the password was rejected. I would advise you not to count on the “free” internet. Things to note. . . * They have Webber BBQs you can borrow and private fire pits you can use. * BRING BUG SPRAY lots of misquotes because of the pond area * Short walk to the beach, although very clean beach, not much of a beach for treasure hunting * Kitchen has basics for cooking meals and small fridge, microwave, toaster, gas stove & oven * Plenty of hot water with tankless hot water heater * Bathroom has towels and bar soap only * Bed comfy and lots of storage in bedroom if needed * Good size TV (in cabin 11) with local channels - also office has lots of movies to loan.
