I love the exterior of this property, it is a really cute inn that I was really looking forward to staying at but was very disappointed in the end The staff here are all very friendly and nice people but there were too many minor problems that make me rate this a 2. 1. Prior to arriving we were called a couple hours before and asked when we would be arriving as the office closed at 4PM. What hotel office closes at 4PM? Knowing this we decided to forego the other things we wanted to do and just get to the place to check in before 4PM. If this was the only inconvenience or issue I would have rated a lot higher but alas it was not. 2. After checking in we headed to our room. It smelled as though it was cleaned recently and the room itself looked clean. When we opened the fridge to put our stuff inside it we noticed a pizza box was inside. This gave us pause for a minute but we took it to the front desk and they took care of it. The pizza box is forgiveable and can a slight overlook on their part but it was really the beginning of things that makes me rate this the way I did. 3. The broken items in the room was a big part of this rating as it just shws carelessness on their part. The toilet paper holder on the wall brke off the wall, soap dispenser in the kitchenette broke as well as two of the three spatulas in the drawer were broken. 4. Forget about silverware, they were mostly plastic and only two spoons and a fork. While you were given two other bigger spoons that were real there was very minimal silverware. I normally wouldn't expect silverware but when the place has a kitchenette you kind fo need it and having so few makes it difficult to do much. 5. One of the things my wife and I like to do is sleep in so we went to the front desk the day prior to leaving and asked if it was possible to get a late check out for another hour so we can sleep in a bit, have a nice breakfast and then head out to the ferry on to our next destination of our trip. On the day of checkout we were called to alert us that checkout was an hour before even though we asked for a later checkout. This made us rush and therefore make us feel like we forgot stuff. While all of these are minor inconveniences we normally would overlook and give a higher rating it just added up to making the experience less than what we wanted or expected. Its a nice place overall but we feel like a little more attention of detail is warranted.

I booked a room because of the great reviews. Absolutely nothing lived up to expectations. The breakfast was very basic continental. Check in took forever, yet there was only one other person there. I have no idea what the clerk was doing on her computer. The room has not been touched since the 70s. The lobby seemed to always have friends and family of the staff there. It was just an uncomfortable experience. The harvest gold refrigerator was really noisy turning on and off all night long. There's a lot of road noise as well. I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

Love this place! I stayed overnight at this place in one of their cute and cozy cabins. This place is so cute with a continental breakfast and employees are very nice! I didn't get to see one of the hotel rooms, but the cabins are cozy and cute! The bed was a little firm for me, but it wasn't too bad. I stayed in cabin "A" and it's perfect for a solo or couple. One disappointment was the view outside the window of my cabin of shipping containers and a water tank. Staff was very friendly and they had a nice continental breakfast in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again!

I rented one of the few cabins available at the back of the property. The room was exactly as advertised and provided a cozy respite after a cross country drive to Oak Harbor. I had the smallest of the cabins, which was perfect for this single traveler but may be a little tight for two people. Everything was clean and neat, the bed was comfortable, and the wifi worked. I found the ambiance relaxing and restful, similar to a rustic mountain cabin.. The continental breakfast was good-everything was fresh and the area was very clean and well attended. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

When I found this hotels website, it appeared cute and unique so my wife and I booked a suite room. Once we got into our room, we where surprised at how warn out and dated the room was. The carpets had staines, wall paper was falling off the walls, windows shades where ripped, bathroom floor tiles where crack, wall power outlet where all warn out and nothing would stay plugged in. The rooms felt very dingy and dark, poor lighting and airflow, just plane gross. Needless to say, I was not impressed at all for spending $160 for one night. I would highly suggest staying at the Best Western down the street for the money.
