I found the Roaring River Bed & Breakfast quite by accident while searching online for other places to stay. Immediately upon seeing photos of the view and breakfast (which was delicious!), I knew we had to stay there. I went to the website, picked a room, and booked it. My husband and I stayed in the Tall Firs room, while my daughter was in the Rock and Rose room. Both were very nice, very clean rooms, but my daughter's had a view of the river directly from the room. The B&B is easy to find, and not too far from "town" if you need to get a bite to eat or stop at a grocery store. Parking was easy with dedicated onsite parking spots, and check-in was a breeze. The hosts were pleasant and welcoming, while wearing masks and social distancing, which is still required, at least at the time of this writing.
I was amazed by the view. There are so many spots to explore, from the quaint tea room, to the bench swing, to the gazebo area, all with different but breathtaking views. Breakfast was delivered to our room around 8:30 a.m. in the cutest basket. The food items were fresh, hot, and mouth-watering. I like B&Bs, but to be honest, sometimes you just want to be lazy, stay in bed, not put on a bra, and enjoy breakfast in your room instead of at a large table making small talk with other guests. This place allows you to do just that! You can dine in your room, or outside if the weather is nice.
Much well-deserved high praise has already been given to this place in other reviews making it challenging to to add something new, but I will say that one night was not enough! We are going back again in May, and cannot wait. If you are in the area, look no further, this is where you want to be.

I am so glad that my wife and I found out about The Roaring River Bed & Breakfast. Peggy and Herschel's hospitality is amazing and they treat you as family. The breakfasts are made by Peggy and delivered by Herschel and arrive at your door between 8:00 and 8:30 guaranteed. Peggy and Hersch are also always happy to talk about things to do in the area and talk to you as if they've know you for years. The rooms are awesome, and even if you have neighbors, the rooms are quiet. The beds are comfortable as well and all of your needs are met. The only issue I had was that the toilet seat was slightly dirty, but a quick clean, and viola, no issues.

The property was beautiful as well. Perched right above the middle fork of the Snoqualmie River, complete with access, and the hills in the background, the area is very peaceful and scenic. Another perk is that for what it would have cost to stay one night at one of the large, local hotels, my wife and I were able to spend the same amount for multiple nights at Roaring River. So budget wise, Roaring River is more than worth it. My wife and I look forward to the next time we are able to visit. It can't come soon enough.

Wow....Wow....Wow. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left , Herschel and Peggy and their team didn’t miss a beat. A perfectly cleaned and organized suite, a personalized hand written note of welcome, a wonderful soaking tub and breakfast made from scratch delivered to our door, were just of few items that made our stay incredible.

The grounds are spectacular, with huge Douglas Firs everywhere and amazing views of the river. We hiked down to the river after breakfast on a nicely groomed nature trail.

I highly recommend a stay here. Thank you Peggy and Herschel for all of the thoughtfulness, attention to detail and care you put into our stay. We will be back with the whole family next time. The kids are going to freak out over the fire pit.

This is the perfect place to go during a pandemic. You don't have to mingle with anyone you don't want to. Breakfast is brought to your room and it is a complete breakfast, not just a pastry and fruit. The hosts are wonderful and so is the food. The grounds are peaceful and the sound of the river puts you to sleep at night.

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at the Roaring River. The location was perfect for all our activities and the room was cozy and clean with a relaxing soaking tub to ease sore muscles after running and hiking. We loved the view from the room and the peaceful atmosphere. Then top it all off with the delicious breakfast delivered each morning to our door and our stay was amazing.

My wife and I spent one night at the RR B and B and were dumfounded at how wonderful the place was. We were looking for a place in the Snoqualmie Falls area during our two week tour of the Pacific North West which was close to Twin Peaks territory. I was a little uncertain of what to expect as we drove along small streets seemingly in the middle of nowhere to get there. When we finally pulled in we found ourselves surrounded by tall trees, lush vegetation, flowers and the house of Hersch and Peggy Backues who greeted us warmly and showed us to our room-the Rose and Rock. As we stepped up to their patio and viewed the tremendous vista of the middle fork of the Snoqualmie River bending some 500 feet below we began to appreciate how peaceful and majestic the surrounds were.
Peggy took us to our room which sits just below their balcony and has a similar glorious view.
The room features a large boulder which may seem odd and off-putting but turned out to be quite cool. Off the small bathroom is a fully functioning sauna which I enjoyed greatly.
In the morning Hersch dropped off one of the best B and B breakfasts we have ever had featuring a baked egg dish, berries and a scone with jam.
Wandering around the grounds is a joy as Hersch has built a treehouse for his grand daughter, stairs which take you down to the river, little houses/huts at viewing spots along the ridge and interesting benches and chairs at various spots on the property. Peggy's gardening skills are apparent throughout.
Before we left we spent some time talking to Hersch and Peggy and learned quite a bit about it and their history.

We stayed in the Rock and Rose Room in early Sept. The sauna was great after a long day of hiking. The views and sounds of nature were amazing. The breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed the small coffee/tea room where we played "Pass the Pigs." The owners were very friendly at check-in and then allowed us our privacy for the remainder of our stay. I would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay here! The room had everything we needed, including coffee pot, microwave, creamers, silverware. Even binoculars for bird watching! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and we loved our view of the river, and falling asleep to the sound of it. Our hosts were lovely and they have a telescope set up so we could watch an osprey in his nest. The private sauna was great, too!

You cannot beat the location! It's so quiet and serene. Listening to the river is so peaceful. The rooms are so quaint and the beds are very comfortable. Peggy and Hershal are very friendly. The basket with a scrumptious breakfast is discreetly left at the door. Highly recommend!!

My father and I stayed in the Herb's Place cabin here when visiting our family for Thanksgiving this year- and it was MAGICAL. The cabin itself was so beautiful and secluded, there were two different sleeping areas so that we could sleep separately. It felt like a "tiny home". The whole place is at the top of a ridge over a gorgeous river, behind which you can see the beautiful mountains of the area. There's many well-maintained and cute lookouts and areas to sit and eat your breakfast or drink coffee while looking over the river. Also, the breakfast here is amazing! Like a warm gourmet breakfast every morning. This is such a special place, owned by such a nice cpuple- definitely recommend staying here to support them and to have a beautiful mountain getaway.

We stayed in Herbs place and in their guest book, couples mentioned they had been allowed to bring small dogs at one time. The proprietors are super people- you should call them. We had a great time!

There is one cabin - Herb's place, I think - that will hold four. I'd get two separate rooms, though. The main house is where the innkeepers live and I don't think there are any rooms for let there. The prices are online and I think they range from $150 a $225 or so. Each room is unique and different. None of the rooms have traffic noise issues. All you hear day and night is the soothing sound of the river. The website is theroaringriver. You can find out more there. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and many bed and breakfasts and this is hands down the place I recommend above all others. So much so I'd love to move there. I hope this helps.
