Tim and Julie make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. They truly want you to experience camping the way you want to. The campground is obviously a labor of love for them. It is evident in the care they have taken to make it a one of a kind experience for the whole family. When we were there, Tim made a point to visit EVERY campsite to see if you needed anything, are having fun, and to just visit. He entertained kids all weekend long, and the "firefly show" at night was amazing for everyone. Tim gave us a tour of the beautiful lodge, and gave us some very interesting history. We will definitely be back.

Tim & Julie are amazing .. Family owned campground. They will make you feel like family the moment you arrive. My fiancé and I have gone many times alone , with kids, family & friends . Every time we have an amazing time! We usually stay in our RV but this last time we decided to stay at the famous River jack cabin. Waking up to a gorgeous view each morning was super romantic. The campground has a little store onsite for those forgotten items, cold beer, ice cream & homemade items made from the locals. Near Mt. Rainer & bumping lake. If in town must go a couple miles down the road to Gold creek station and try their delicious fish & chips!

Staying at Elk Ridge is like becoming part of one big family. People have been returning here for years to stay in one of their inexpensive but rustic cabins, park their RV or to tent by the river. But that doesn't mean that you're obligated to be social. We were lucky enough to get one of the few riverfront tent sites AND it was very private -- I guess that's why they call the site "Nude Beach". They have quite a few tent sites but not all of them are riverfront and not all of them have a lot of privacy; it's first come first served. When you make an online reservation it just guarantees you a tent spot not a particular spot. Be there early to get the best spot. There's one male and one female shower a short walk away with all the other RVers and cabin dwellers. My advice would be to shower in the evening to be sure of getting in. There are portable toilets (that are nice and clean) very close to the tent sites. Make sure to walk to the wedding area in the evening to see the laser fireflies (you'll know it when you see it). The owners are super-friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

The campground is well situated on the Naches River. The upper section is easy to navigate, but some sites on the lower section can be difficult to back in to. The owner said he backs many campers in and is always willing to help. Plenty of activities and amenities for children. Easy drive up river into the forest and other rivers to fish. They also have cabins for rent if you are not Rving.

We arrived late in the evening and Tim and his wife welcomed us arms opened. After registration, Tim took the time to show us his campground to make sure we choose the best spot for us. Plus, they litteraly have a full kitchen outdoor that you can use. With a nice fireplace setup, so sad we only stayed there one night. Don't forget to take a look at the wedding in nature scene: an area full of little lasers. At night, it's simply magical!
