Obviously, the Armstrong House was once a charming home but we found it dingy, dirty, extremely cluttered, over-priced and in dire need of some TLC. The bed was comfortable enough but the breakfast VERY average; no home made anything. Overall, this B&B was sadly lacking in the niceties of other B&B’s we’ve stayed in. Consequently, we would not stay here... More

The best experiences in life are--or at least should be--about the people. A bed-and-breakfast is a social experience. Our stay at The Armstrong House exemplified that wonderfully. The house is beautiful and original, the grounds spacious, the surroundings picturesque and the soaking opportunities delightful. But Michael is the magic. Our host's thoughtful attention to detail and friendly demeanor shone through... More

Relaxing atmosphere, great breakfast, peaceful inn with views of farmland from our room. The innkeeper is lovely and added bonus a professional musician who kindly played acoustic guitar and sang beautifully while we ate a fabulous, hot and filling breakfast. Our room (#4) overlooked farmland and had a comfortable bed and spacious vintage tub. Nice weekend getaway from Seattle. Note... More

I've stayed in B&Bs all over the world, and the Armstrong House is in many ways a fine example of the converted farmhouse that's quaint and comfortable, but still a little rough around the edges. There is genuine enthusiasm from the host Mike, as he welcomes you in the evening and prepares breakfast the next morning. He took our vegetarian... More

BnB with 6 rooms totally, we had the India room upstairs: dark, old. Shower takes 10 min. to warm up. House: the same: old fashioned. Not clean, disordered, smell of dog. Breakfast is home made and ok.

I believe this guest was having a bad day and decided to take it out on our establishment. On the night in question I had several other rooms available and my guest was given the option of selecting any room they wanted. They didn't communicate with me that they desired another room nor that they were unhappy with the room... More

When we reserved the "Footman's Cottage" at The Armstrong House we were told that it was the same quality as the rooms that were in the house. The interior of the "Footman's Cottage" was nothing like the photos on the website. The beds were uncomfortable, the only bathroom is downstairs and some of the exterior and interior doors would not... More

Stayed the night on 8/10/14: We chose the Armstrong House based on other reviews and all of them hit the mark. My wife and I enjoyed a nice afternoon walking around La Conner. We drove to Armstrong House, checked in with Mike and he had some great info about the area. The house was nice and our room perfectly comfortable.... More
