This is our second time camping here. First time a couple years ago was fantastic. It's a beautiful campground. However, I would encourage you to ask prior to coming if there are any restrictions. We went in Sept, 2021 and had no idea there was a burn ban. We could not have a wood fire or use our charcoal BBQ. I understand they were following the regulations but it would have been nice to have been notified in the confirmation email sent a couple days prior to our arrival. It not only had no mention of it but recommended bringing marshmallows, graham crackers and lots of chocolate for s'mores. We had brought plenty of wood for our fires. One of the days was drizzly and cool all day. We noticed a few other campers had propane fire pits. We had our daughter and husband who were just coming for the last day bring a propane fire pit which we thoroughly enjoyed that last night so a simple notification would have been nice. When I asked about this with the owner, he was very friendly but did not have a response for not letting us know. Again, it's a beautiful campground and the owners are very friendly. I would just encourage them to let their campers know in the confirmation email if there are any restrictions not mentioned on their website.

I don't know how I will go back to camping at a State Park after this. ;-) The hosts, Brian and Tom, were super friendly and hospitable, the facilities were clean and well-maintained, the Trading Post was welcoming, and the site was private and quiet. We are tent campers, so the privacy is appreciated. Most of the other campers around us were RVs and there are rules and restrictions around generator use, which I LOVE, because as a tent camper there is nothing worse than a big RV pulling up next to you and running a noisy generator all day. Elkamp is easy to get to and close to a few conveniences (ice cream in Elbe), but still feels totally remote. The campground is small and feels safe. The neighboring campers were respectful and quiet. Word to the wise - bring a lot of mosquito repellent!

This is our new favorite place to bring our RV. The site is gorgeous and well loved by Brian and Tom. They have upped up the camping experience and we will be back at least a couple times each year. The bathrooms and shower are super clean and their gift shop is perfect. It has gourmet treats, cool shirts, great books, etc.

Room Tip: This is a smaller, quaint RV/tent Campground. We appreciate that both visits adhered to quiet...

Elkamp Eastcreek 184 Naugle Road, Mineral, Washington. 98355 $55.00 30 amp E/W (Dump site available) Connection: AT& T 1 bar (barely). Verizon NO Coverage. No satellite for Dish because of forest coverage (which was fine for us) Pros: This is probably the most beautiful and un-commercial like park for any commercial park we have ever been in. That is a huge PRO for us as we will always prefer a state or national park to a parking lot commercial site. The layout of the park is nestled in the rainforest and each site has a beautiful view. All roads and sites are big rig accessible, constructed of large crushed granite with shade galore from the forest. The electric and water were located conveniently on the sites and were in great working order. Sites all appeared to be level. This location is perfect for exploring Mount Rainier. The little town of Elbe is a short 5 mile trip to find cell coverage and grab a bite to eat at the little bar and grill. The owners of this park have only had the park for a little over a year. They are friendly, helpful, well organized and have plans for expansion and improvements - to include wifi. The grounds, bathhouse, and outdoor kitchen are clean and well maintained. The park store and office are well stocked and very pleasing to the eye. This is a park well worth your checking out! Cons: The dump station is big rig assessable, but not conveniently located in the park. The owners are well aware of this and have plans to put in an additional station.

A wonderful hidden gem! The owners were so kind and welcoming. We stayed in RV site #3 which is right next to the creek. The site was so wonderful and quiet. with so many amazing trees all around. All of the neighbors were very respectful and did not cause any problems. We loved the trading post onsite to browse around, and the Sweet Honey BBQ popcorn they have for purchase was so yummy. Be sure to bring lots of ammo against the mosquitos because they come out in force. The dump site is in an awkward location if you are in a bigger size rig - ours is 35 feet. We were able to make it work by taking a quick turn around drive outside of the park and then back in to curve down to the dump site, so no problem there. We will definitely be back to stay here again and would recommend this campsite to our family/friends.
