We wanted to stay close to our car rental place to drop the car off early and this fit the bill. An older hotel but clean and plenty of room. Although we were on a major road we didn't hear the traffic. Continental breakfast. Reasonable priced and nice staff.
Staying in Seattle for 4 nights as part of a road trip was looking rather costly when I factored in parking costs too. I didn’t need to be in the city centre each day, so decided to stay in Lynwood as it was far more cost effective. Location: This hotel was around 16 miles’ drive to Downtown Seattle. During my stay, this took around 20-30 minutes to drive into the city in the morning for the 2 times I needed to go which wasn’t too bad. I found the time taken weighed against cost saving to be worth it. Where the hotel was located in Lynwood was ideal for me. It wasn’t far off of the I5, and had plenty of eating options in the area. There’s a Denny’s just in front of the hotel, loads of restaurants across the street / next door, and a Fred Meyer Supermarket a little up the road. What I did find in regards to the location, was that I managed to drive past the hotel entrance on my first try. The sign for the hotel was hidden behind a tree / bushes, and it was only on my second try that I realised to turn in next to Denny’s as the hotel is set back off of the road. Some people have mentioned in their comments that the steep incline into the parking lot could cause issues to cars - I’d say just drive carefully and you should be OK. Parking Plenty of spots available - we never had any issues parking at the hotel for the four nights we were there. The parking lot was safe and we had no issues with the car being there. Room Our room was on the second floor, and the hotel only has stairs. I was aware of this in advance so did not cause any issues for me. The room we were given overlooked the back of the building - noise levels were fine during our stay. The paint colour on the walls and the carpets made this room look older, but it was definitely clean! The bed was on the softer side (I prefer a firmer mattress) but it was still comfortable. In room, there was a fridge and microwave - I only used the fridge was worked well for keeping drinks cold. The bathroom shower / bath worked well - a good pressure from the shower at all times it was used. Breakfast The hotel offered breakfast which mostly consisted of cereal, toast (various kinds of bread), pastries, and waffles. Plenty of options really but no “hot” food. They had bananas for the first few days we were there, but none on the last day - I may have just missed them. Staff The staff we interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. Overall, this was an OK stay. The rooms could use a little renovation to bring this up to a higher rating - i.e. new carpets / flooring, and fresh paint. For the price paid though, I was happy with my stay.…
This is your basic stay a night and move on kind of hotel. Nothing terribly bad, nothing terribly great. Definitely a little long in the tooth. The location is good, near a lot of places to eat and right off of Route 5. A little difficult to find, kind of off the road a bit.
If I could give 0 stars I would!! Idk who’s been staying here and their standards! Only thing okay about the room was the sheets were clean that’s it! After ready through comments of comfy beds, friendly staff and coziness we decided to stay here. Called the hotel directly before booking through hotels.com (which we’ve been using for over a week now since we left Las Vegas!) and asked if they have an ada room or elevator or floor on the bottom level and they’d answered yes to every question. Well that’s a huge lie! We booked the room and gave it a few minutes to process then called back to let them know we’d need a lower level or ada room or one close to the “elevator” and they said okay. After horrible signage to actually get into the property it was check in time… NO ada room available, NO elevator and NO downstairs room available!!! After we had called and verified and all we got was “you didn’t put that in the comments” and I said BECAUSE I’d called and spoken to one of you personally! We were supposed to stay 2 nights but upon check in cancelled the other night then they said we couldn’t because there wasn’t a manager and blah blah blah when their website says we can because it was before the 6pm cut off! The entire building smelt like ass! Ended opening the room window for fresh air because it was nauseating! The room itself… stains all on the carpet( see picture), stunk, fridge and microwave were dirty, something on the bathroom floor stuck where I took a wad of toilet tissue and got it off myself then cleaned it w soap ( see picture), carpet was FILTHY none of walked on it w bare feet, I’d accidentally spilled some water so I used a towel to soak it up and the towel was black!, bathroom tub needs to be caulked and cleaned with bleach to kill the mold, beds were awful!!!! My friends bed was so bad she was practically on the floor and the bed I was in was so hard my back ached in the morning and didn’t sleep well. Lighting in the room is poor even with the curtains open. The fire sprinkler has so much built up dust, it itself could start a fire (see picture), the bathroom fan was just as built up w dust (see picture). I’d never recommend this place or stay here again. Worst night in hell basically! They offer a free breakfast but after the condition and nastiness of their rooms that was a no go! We will have better luck at a fast food place!…
Frequent solo traveler and have come to expect certain standards with budget friendly hotels. This establishment exceeds any and all expectations with its courteous and professional staff, polished/fresh rooms, and flexibility/deals made for extended stays. The patience and prompt attentiveness of the front desk employees with whom I enjoyed conversation as well as pestered for repeated requests on my demagnetized key cards (thankfully I wasn’t the only one with such an issue). Even the usual continental breakfast fare is a cut above the rest with its perfectly cooked eggs, delicious fruit breads and variety. The eating area was kept spotlessly clean and well organized in order to encourage the guests to feel comfortable while enjoying the complimentary meals to start the day. Other guests are quiet and respectful, and there is very little noise in the hotel in general even though the location is right by a very busy thoroughfare. Amgaa, Denise and Daniel are reason enough to stay here, as they consistently go above and beyond in helping guests and even providing extra help and assistance when asked. Highly recommended for an exceptional stay with equally exceptional rates. Convenient to the freeway, the local library and numerous restaurants and markets. Never have written reviews for hotels before but this experience warranted this praise. Happy and safe travels, fellow adventurers!…
We had a very pleasant stay. The property is older but well kept and everything was clean. The bed was good and the linen was nice quality. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast comes with the stay and was fine. The only thing I would ask is to have cream instead of coffee whitener.
Wow. What a deal, price wise. And the room made it better still. A comfortable bed with excellent reading lights (and night tables) on both sides. It was the clean, well laid out, and an easy drive to the rest of the city. Breakfast was good. The staff were helpful. We'll definitely stay there again.
Facilities were somewhat dated but very clean and kept up. What made this place exceptional was the staff that went out of their way to help with arrangements you would expect from a 5 star concierge service. Very impressed and highly recommended.
While this was an older building that can use an upgrade, staff was welcoming and our room was spotlessly clean. It's also tucked away behind the main street making it quiet and cozy. Location is excellent with many walkable restaurants and easy freeway access. I would definitely stay here again.
Walking in I liked how it looked and that it smelled clean. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is what I call a head shower not a belly shower. I could easily wash and rinse my head and hair without needing to bend over! The breakfast is nothing to write home about. Hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cold cereal, sticky buns and types of bread to toast plus waffles. The price is very reasonable. The next time I’m in Lynnwood, I will stay here again.
