The Mill Inn is a unique experiential Inn located in Lynden, Washington. With only 7 rooms, 3 of which are in the physical windmill, The Mill Inn strives to create a custom experience for each and every guest that will remain a memory for them, for years to come. While there are many windmill hotels in the world, The Mill Inn boasts one of the only Windmill’s in North America with rooms in the Windmill itself. Come and experience what it’s like to stay in a Windmill!
Each room in The Mill Inn is unique, and has specific design characteristics you would find in an old world European setting, yet has all the comforts required by today’s traveler. The rooms range in size from a very unique small room at the top of the Windmill, to standard sized hotel rooms, to a larger 1 bedroom loft suite with a full kitchen. Each room has a flat screen TV with cable, top of the line mattresses and bedding, and standard hotel amenities.
The Mill Inn also has a bistro and full bar available to our guests, and can provide room service upon request.
Come, stay, and allow us to create a custom experience for you!
I’m so happy I chose the Mill Inn for my parents visit. The customer service is outstanding. The room was beautiful and clean. Staff went above and beyond to make my parents stay very comfortable and memorable. I highly recommend the Mill Inn. Thank you Linda & Staff!
Great Inn with European style. The staff was excellent. A big thank you to Gerri, reservation, recommendations and hospitality were so welcoming and professional. The Mill is a romantic place for couples and fun stay for small families. There is a bistro and bar downstairs and this building is on the main drag of Lynden. Central to all the shops and whatever you would like to do. About 15 min from a border crossing at the end of Meridian Rd. We stayed in the top of the windmill-what fun. Views of Mt. Baker, the town, and an actual working windmill outside your bedroom and bathroom windows! A couple of things you should know before you book. If you are a light sleeper or have small children, you can hear people leaving the lounge and some car noise. Also, there is really nothing open on Sunday in the downtown area, not even restaurants. Otherwise, we highly recommend this unique property. There were several small touches throughout the room that really made you feel at home and special and the treats and handwritten note were much appreciated. …
You have to love a hotel that has a bar in the lobby - one of those dark-wood-and-leather-chairs kind of bars. The entire hotel has old-world charm without the decrepit feeling that often comes with it. The rooms are beautifully furnished; the beds are super comfy; the bathrooms are clean, with high-end finishes; and the wi-fi had good speed. We stayed with our car club - and the manager left a hand-written welcome note in every room. What a nice touch! I wish we'd been able to stay longer. My only, only complaint is the 10 AM checkout is a bit early - although they didn't seem to fret about it too much.
This inn is everything they advertise and then some! The attention to detail in the rooms was superior. Everything is first class including the staff. I cant recommend this highly enough if you plan to stay or pass through Lynden. I will definitely be back and encourage anyone, singles, couples, families, groups to patronize as they have a great variety of rooms to choose from. 5 STAR!
We got married on Aug 11 at Evergreen Gardens and as the entire wedding party was coming from out of town, we needed a hotel to stay at! We found the Mill through our friends Tim and Doug Broersma and the decision to book out the hotel was one of our best! The general manager, Linda, was beyond helpful and lovely! Every request was handled perfectly and even things we didn’t think of to ask were provided (playpen for my 6 month old niece)! The rooms were so individual and each had its own unique touch. The beds are fantastic and the welcome basket and fresh flowers were a lovely touch! I literally can’t say enough positive things about our experience at The Mill and working with Linda (and Robin!). The restaurant stayed open late for our private after party and served up delicious dishes on a wedding menu. We were a rowdy bunch but they handled it all with grace and class! If you plan on getting married in the Lynden vicinity or just want a beautiful place to stay to explore the picturesque town of Lynden - stay here!!! You won’t be sorry!…
Our car club stayed at The Mill Inn for the Weekend. Brett made sure our experience was first class. The rooms were bigger and better than expected. They were clean and fashionable. Location was ideal. The Mill Inn is an experience, not just a room for the night. We will definitely return.
Fantastic staff and amenities! The rooms are decorated with the neatest details! We always enjoy the cocktails and tasty menu items downstairs at the bar! Located on the Main Street in Lynden, making the quaint shops downtown easy to walk to.
Business meetings recently brought me to Lynden WA. Where my company booked me a room in the windmill. I stayed in the unit at the very top of the windmill, the decor was fantastic and the bed was luxurious, staff was very friendly and courteous. Room design was very unique! Never imagined a 6’3” man would fit in the top of a windmill. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the mill inn. Raspberry festival was also going on at the time of my stay and it was right outside the front door. Wonderful place for a unique experience getaway!!
Lynden is a lovely agricultural part of the state, in the shadow of Mt. Baker and a nice backroad drive from Seattle. If you don't want to stay in Bellingham, and if you don't want the waits of the border waits going into British Columbia then I suggest it as an all seasons option, especially spring. While a town known for shutting down on Sunday so the very Dutch inhabitants can attend one of many churches, it now has a number of eateries and a functioning downtown to walk. And I recommend the Mill Inn. as a very good place to stay. Don't be confused by the different wind mill names there. This is the one. Perfect location and while slightly funky with a super, super staff. Not high end but very comfortable. Just a darn nice place in a town with limited options. And between now and July 1, 2018, try the chocolate shop where Michelle works magic.…
Our stay at the Mill Inn was absolutely wonderful! The room was spacious, well decorated, modern, and very clean. We had a lovely stay and would happily return. Thank you to everyone that helped make our stay special. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the Lynden area.
