What an outstanding experience - Lummi Island is only about a 10 minute ferry ride from the mainland, but it feels like a world away. The little corner of the island the hotel is on feels remote, yet peaceful and cozy, and has awesome views towards the other islands to the west (just wait till you get a load of... More

A friend wanted to go... So I made the plans without knowing exactly what to expect. Located on a remote island, you're treated to an amazing locally-sourced tasting menu. The atmosphere is laid back and the service is superb. Be sure to go with the wine pairing for the full experience.

We spent the night here last weekend and enjoyed every bit of the Inn. We booked a room in order to reserve dining at the restaurant, and were glad we did. After the dinner it was so nice to be able to just walk to our room and relax. We booked a room which was right over the restaurant, and... More

Though rustic, the accommodations are good, the setting peaceful and relaxing. I can think of nothing better than to eat dinner at the Willows Inn while staying there - so that travel after a 3-hour meal with wine pairings is not needed. This is not a place to stay unless you are having dinner at the restaurant. It's pricey and... More

Go for the food. The meal was creative, tasty and wonderful. Expensive but worth it. As good as the meal was, the room was as bad. They have a captive audience and so charge $250 a night for a dump. Smelly, old, cramped. Eat there but take the ferry back to the mainland and stay elsewhere.

Other than the public spaces, which are all quite nice, much of the Willows Inn is old, odd and overpriced. The place, of course, capitalizes on the fact that guests get preferential reservations at the restaurant, which is exceptional and I review elsewhere. We have stayed at the Inn twice in the high end Haven and the "budget" Honeysuckle, neither... More

Wandernotlost1 wrote the review for me. We had a very similar experience with the exception that for us, the concierge was very friendly and helpful. Biking was not enjoyable due to the condition of the bikes- could hardly ride them. Bugs in the room due to lack of window screens. The meal was beautiful and well executed but we left... More

We felt this room was overpriced for what one gets in return. It seemed to us that they have not decided that they wish to be in the hotel business or just an adjunct to their chef's talents. The room itself was attractive and nicely presented. Recognising this is an island and therefore has less ability to supply some services... More

The best meal in my life and I know food. Chef Blaine and his team are superb! Donuts with black cod; halibut skin with shellfish; calmari - simply outstanding!!!! See pictures below. It was my 35th birthday. It is unbelievable we have this quality of food and service just few hours from Seattle. Now lodging - we were in Matia... More

The meal in the Willows Inn was special - all locally sourced, beautifully presented little morsels of clean and fresh flavours. There was no red meat or poultry so you have to be a lover of seafood to get the full benefit. But even after 15 courses, none of us were super-full. At USD 175 per person (plus tip, not... More
