This was our second stay here. A porch and a separate small building with a room for quiet conversation, reading, watching the bay have been added. The rooms are comfortable. There are kayaks(free) and bikes. We learned to kayak last time there. Victoria and John were filling in for the owners and did a wonderful job. The breakfasts were fantastic!...

Mike and Robin have a special skill in creating a very relaxing environment in which guests can enjoy each others company or not - we did. We very much enjoyed our conversations with our inn companions. Mike and Robin were great at sparking interactions without pushing. The Inn, of course, is beautiful, breakfast tasty, and the beds comfy. We did...

Thank you for taking time to help prospective MacKaye Harbor Inn guests research lodging options on Lopez Island. We always enjoy bicycling enthusiasts such as yourselves as they discover the "bicycling friendliness" of the island. Looking forward to your return. Feel free to drop your bags off early again. Mike and Robin are such lovely people and we only wish we'd had more time to get to know them. Their hospitality extends well past sharing their lovely home, yummy breakfasts and Kayak use to recommending hikes, drives and the best restaurants on the island. We return in a heartbeat!

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay for the sake of those prospective visitors. It also is a great encouragement to us to continue in the manner we serve. We very much enjoyed our conversations and shared videos. Know that we continue to work on our "Italian." Regarding the shared bath situation: there are two rooms that...

We had a wonderful time! The balance between interaction with our hosts/other guests was perfect for us. We were enjoying a honeymoon we didn't have 25 years ago. The beach sitting was so rejuvenating and peaceful that we wished we had had more time. We felt so welcome in Robin and Mike's home that we almost felt like family. Thank...

It was certainly a pleasure to have you two here while celebrating your 25th. The excitement your family shared in your celebration was so apparent. Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to inform future visitors to our home.

When the weather in the Puget Sound looked perfect for a long bike ride, we decided to book a night at this lovely Inn at the south end of Lopez Island. Fortunately, Mackaye Inn had one room left. So we hopped aboard the San Juan ferry from Anacortes with just the bikes and some food. If you don't take a...

Thank you, Flora, for taking time out of your busy schedule to review our inn. You have done a great job in describing how one can have a full and special experience in just "one" day. It was a pleasure to have you and Paul visit us.

Robin and Mike are an amazing team who make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. From the moment you pull into the driveway, it is like stepping back in time where meetings and deadlines dissapear. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable and relaxing. Robin is an amazing cook and you will find yourself quessing...

We just spent 3 nights at this lovely inn. We were coming from fairly grueling schedules and in need of a break. This place is hands down excellent. It's the kind of place that reminds of you how you'd like to live - all the time. The inn is beautiful, comfortable and serene. Mike and Robin are the people you...

MacKaye Harbor Inn is one of the best B&B experiences we've had in 35 years of traveling. Lopez Island is absolutely beautiful and the setting for the Inn is truly exceptional. Mike and Robin are wonderful people as well as gracious hosts. They are extremely knowledgable about the island and able to advise us on everything from panoramic hikes to...

Iceberg Point Trails and other nearby shoreline trails, plus the availability of organic food make it hard for us to go anywhere else for our salt water fix. My wife works at Sun Mouintain Lodge above the Methow Valley, one of the world's top rated hotels, and she's spent her entire career in the lodging business - starting in Saas-Fee,...

What a great introduction to Lopez Island life. My husband and I stayed at MacKaye Harbor Inn one Sunday night in late April in order to attend a Tracy Grammer concert at the community center.
