Our first visit to Granite Point was in Sept. 2020, and it was unfortunately abruptly cut short by extreme smoke from the wildfires. We were there less than 48hrs before we had to give up because the air was so bad. Although they don’t offer refunds for weather related circumstances, Management reached out and offered to do the right thing for us during those unprecedented times. We were so pleased with the Resort Manager’s personable and sincere guest service that we returned this year (2021) for the 4th of July, and invited another family to join our vacation with us in a cottage nearby. We had an incredible stay. Granite Point is a great place for families with a lot of activities to keep kids entertained. It is the first place I have felt comfortable letting my young kids roam around unsupervised with their bikes at the pump track and the play ground. It was a great detox from screens! The grounds were very well kept, staff was friendly and the general store had yummy food. The lake itself is a hidden gem. It is not overcrowded and has clean waters. Access to boat launches and fishing is plentiful. Another bonus is the resort’s proximity to Silverwood Theme Park—we made a day trip there and it was a short hour long trip to and from. Despite not having A/C, the cottages don’t get uncomfortable….but I would recommend bringing your own fans. Beach towels tend to get dusty quickly — so pack a few extra or plan to use their self-serve laundry area. I am so glad we gave this place another try and look forward to returning for years to come.

We stayed at the RV section and it was very crowded. The RVs had a difficult time getting in/out of their space. You Could also hear the road noise and the train is only about 100 yards away so very loud when it can through twice during our weekend stay. But the community that has been built there is nice. Everyone is friendly and the beach area is well maintained. Great place to spend the day at the beach but not to camp.

Thanks for commenting! Glad you appreciate the beach and amenities! Some folks love the allure of the RR tracks. We do appreciate with the increasing size of RVs that the sites can be a bit tight. Good news is that in 2021 we are anticipating opening up former seasonal sites that will have more space!

What a find! It’s so close to Spokane but the beautiful, clean lake and well-maintained beach and grounds put you in vacation mode right away! Our kids loved the sandy swimming area with great dock and diving board as well as the playground and basketball and volleyball courts. It is a long beach so easy to find room and also lots of grassy areas throughout the beautiful grounds. There is an adorable store that looks like you stepped back in time that has food and snacks and all kinds of fun things. They also have cute cabins that my friends stayed in and loved! Perfect way to spend a day or—even better—a week!
