Friendly, helpful staff; super clean rooms; comfortable bed; room has everything you will need; terrific downtown location- you can literally walk to the entire main area including the beach from the hotel. No complaints at all. Would stay here again!

This is a basic motel, not much in the way of frills (except for a Keurig with Kcups, Thank you!!), and it shows some signs of age. However, based on some of the other reviews I’d say the owners have put some money and effort into improvements. It is dog friendly and located in a handy downtown location not far from shops and kite festival events. The checkin etc is all done by phone, no clerks on site. But I noticed that the people in the room next door did get a handyman to come and unclog something so they do handle emergency stuff. Overall I’m glad we stayed here overnight and would go back.

We wanted an inexpensive place to stay while visiting relatives and this was it. Quiet. It was very small. Check in was by phone. We weren't told and didn't realize at first that when we left the room we needed to push the lock button on the code lock panel (I don't really know what it's called) so apparently our room was unlocked for hours. Lots to do in the area. Motel is not exciting but was adequate for our need.

We booked a king suite to celebrate my sons 7th birthday. Due to COVID we weren’t able to throw him a party and felt a beach trip would cheer him up. Room 203 is underwhelming, outdated, moldy, and uncomfortable.

1) We called the hotel a few days before our trip to confirm sleeping arrangements, seating, amenities, etc. I was told our room would have a king sized bed and a pull out sofa sleeper-perfect! Just what we needed. We called to confirm as the photos online were confusing and the same photos looked to be used for multiple rooms.

2) We arrive at the hotel to find they’ve already charged our credit card (I advised them I’d like to change the method of payment at check in and was reassured that would not be a problem), we weren’t allowed into the lobby so they handed us our receipt and room code and closed the door. This was ok, I guess, we didn’t have too many questions, other than wanting to change the payment method but it turns out that wasn’t an option.

3) We get upstairs to our room to find no sofa, no coffee pot, dirty floors, hair. We did have a private bedroom with a king sized bed, but the “living room” had a day bed with two twin beds and a queen sized bed stuffed in the corner. Nowhere to sit (unless you find it comfortable to sit on the edge of a bed)

The pictures online are not accurate, the staff do not seem to know their own policies or how their rooms are set up. The bathroom had mold that appeared to have been painted over a few times and the amount of hair left on the beds and bathroom is disturbing.

I would like to add that we have stayed in this hotel before in a downstairs room (captains quarters I believe) and that room was much nicer.

Be warned! If only I could give a zero star rating on this company, I would! Imagine walking into your assigned unit to find someone else’s belongings all over the place. We waited over a half hour outside for someone to come and assess the situation. The gentleman on duty told me he reset the lock code on the door after the last guests and stated he had no idea someone was in there. I should have seen the red flags when that same gentleman checked me in at the front desk without asking to see any identification or credit card. The front desk offered no solution and when we asked to use the restroom (after a long drive), stated we had to use the city/public restroom down the block. Feeling unsafe, and very skeptical about the the claims of the room being cleaned before our arrival, we asked for a refund which was given along with a half assed apology. So, on a holiday weekend, in a coastal town, we had no place to stay. Ended up driving an hour away to stay somewhere else.

This was the WORST stay ever! I have photos of the bathroom that would horrify you. Crayon drawn on mirrors, boogers on walls, red liquid splattered all over multiple surfaces, wood and paint chipping off, door latches that needed to be fixed, a toilet that wasn't even flushed when we got there and an office with a lighted open sign with nobody there. And to top it off, and alarm clock that went off at 5am waking us up after a much needed rest. We contacted management for weeks with pictures and were told we would not get a refund because we didn't tell anyone at the time, which we called and went to the office SEVERAL times and nobody was there and there was a busy signal or no answer. I also left AirPods in room and paid to have them sent and they only sent me only ONE of them. I made one last attempt today to contact them and after asking my name, they HUNG UP ON ME! Please beware. Their mission statement is noted on the desk and says they are "clean and hospitable and willing to resolve issues." Hypocritical. I am working with bank to get a refund as I was told several times they would contact me about my AirPod and that the owner would go over our situation in that WE DID attempt several times to find, call and contact anyone in the hotel the night we encountered the dirty bathroom. Nobody to be found. I only like writing positive reviews, but after being hung up on today, no way! That is not how you deal with a paying customer that is calling to follow up. And the worst thing is that, it is already predictable that this motel with follow up this review with something negative about me because they know how they handled this entire mess was appalling. There should be no excuses. Do not stay here! If I could opt to not put any stars, I would. I hope this saves a nice family from staying here. Read the other negative reviews and trust them.

As you are well aware of Kim this review is a complete lie, You tried to scam us out of giving you a free night and it didn't work so you stooped to the lowest level you could to get your way. You and I both know you even went as far to post pictures of another hotel that was not ours. The room you stayed in had just been completely remodeled as a matter of fact you were the second guest to stay in it. I hope other small independent hotels see you coming before you try this with them. I am absolutely proud to be the GM of this beautiful little piece of property. My conscious clear how about yours?

This hotel was a classic bait and switch. We went to the hotel and there was no office. We were then sent to another hotel. Where we were offered an unacceptable room. They then overdose a hotel room at the The second hotel. They didn’t seem to care about anybody or anything. We were promised breakfast in our rate and when we went to get it they told us they had run out of donuts at 8 AM. All in all I thoroughly discouraging and unacceptable performance. Don’t go don’t go don’t go

We stayed for almost a week. Our room was like a small apartment with a stove and a full-size fridge. The beds are comfortable. The pillows are nice, but I had brought my own. I never did find a luggage rack, but I made it work. They do have a decent wi-fi. The room was clean. The staff brought us an extra fan and extra towels. Everyone was friendly. The property is quite impressive, not far off the beach. Most of the time, we could park our rental car right out front of our room. We can't wait for our next trip.

Booked through booking.com and got an email saying that my credit card didn't go through. Decided to pivot to another hotel instead. Checked my cc statement and apparently the hotel independently ran my credit later without my authorization. They did not even inform me of them doing that. When I gave them my cc I only authorize it for that one time, if it doesn't go through, you cannot keep trying without my authorization. It seems very scummy on their end.

The fact that you choose to book at another hotel without canceling the reservation was of no fault of ours. You left the reservation active in our systems gives us the authorization to charge the card on file. We did hold the room for you because you did not cancel with us or booking.com.

This room was disappointing. The layout was okay. The room cleanliness was awful! We had several bugs flies, and spiders. The worst part was fecal matter or vomit on the mattress. The walls were also very dirty. I found a lot of dust on the furnishings poorly sanitized. I’m a mom of three children on Spring break with the kids. This ruined our trip! The pictures did not match the site at all.
