We wanted an inexpensive place to stay while visiting relatives and this was it. Quiet. It was very small. Check in was by phone. We weren't told and didn't realize at first that when we left the room we needed to push the lock button on the code lock panel (I don't really know what it's called) so apparently our room was unlocked for hours. Lots to do in the area. Motel is not exciting but was adequate for our need.
This was the WORST stay ever! I have photos of the bathroom that would horrify you. Crayon drawn on mirrors, boogers on walls, red liquid splattered all over multiple surfaces, wood and paint chipping off, door latches that needed to be fixed, a toilet that wasn't even flushed when we got there and an office with a lighted open sign with nobody there. And to top it off, and alarm clock that went off at 5am waking us up after a much needed rest. We contacted management for weeks with pictures and were told we would not get a refund because we didn't tell anyone at the time, which we called and went to the office SEVERAL times and nobody was there and there was a busy signal or no answer. I also left AirPods in room and paid to have them sent and they only sent me only ONE of them. I made one last attempt today to contact them and after asking my name, they HUNG UP ON ME! Please beware. Their mission statement is noted on the desk and says they are "clean and hospitable and willing to resolve issues." Hypocritical. I am working with bank to get a refund as I was told several times they would contact me about my AirPod and that the owner would go over our situation in that WE DID attempt several times to find, call and contact anyone in the hotel the night we encountered the dirty bathroom. Nobody to be found. I only like writing positive reviews, but after being hung up on today, no way! That is not how you deal with a paying customer that is calling to follow up. And the worst thing is that, it is already predictable that this motel with follow up this review with something negative about me because they know how they handled this entire mess was appalling. There should be no excuses. Do not stay here! If I could opt to not put any stars, I would. I hope this saves a nice family from staying here. Read the other negative reviews and trust them.…
This hotel was a classic bait and switch. We went to the hotel and there was no office. We were then sent to another hotel. Where we were offered an unacceptable room. They then overdose a hotel room at the The second hotel. They didn’t seem to care about anybody or anything. We were promised breakfast in our rate and when we went to get it they told us they had run out of donuts at 8 AM. All in all I thoroughly discouraging and unacceptable performance. Don’t go don’t go don’t go
Rice paper thon walls, no TV, the manager doesn't care. The place is so small it's like being in a closet. The shower needed cleaning, not to mention the floor. And you hear EVERYTHING from all the rooms around you. Again, rice paper thin walls. -0000 on the scale. DONT STAY HERE!!!!
No a/c but fan available. No breakfast or beverages except for a Kruger machine with several pouches. Lacking table and closet space, but clean and comfortable room. Easy, no -contact check-in. Good location near beach boardwalk and restaurants.
This room was disappointing. The layout was okay. The room cleanliness was awful! We had several bugs flies, and spiders. The worst part was fecal matter or vomit on the mattress. The walls were also very dirty. I found a lot of dust on the furnishings poorly sanitized. I’m a mom of three children on Spring break with the kids. This ruined our trip! The pictures did not match the site at all.
The reviews are WRONG for this place. The owners must be submitting reviews for themselves. Nothing like pictured; hair all over bed, stains on pillows and mattress, mold on walls, it stinks, dirty bath tub, dirty walls, dirty headboard, dirty lamp shades. GROSS!
We booked a king suite to celebrate my sons 7th birthday. Due to COVID we weren’t able to throw him a party and felt a beach trip would cheer him up. Room 203 is underwhelming, outdated, moldy, and uncomfortable. 1) We called the hotel a few days before our trip to confirm sleeping arrangements, seating, amenities, etc. I was told our room would have a king sized bed and a pull out sofa sleeper-perfect! Just what we needed. We called to confirm as the photos online were confusing and the same photos looked to be used for multiple rooms. 2) We arrive at the hotel to find they’ve already charged our credit card (I advised them I’d like to change the method of payment at check in and was reassured that would not be a problem), we weren’t allowed into the lobby so they handed us our receipt and room code and closed the door. This was ok, I guess, we didn’t have too many questions, other than wanting to change the payment method but it turns out that wasn’t an option. 3) We get upstairs to our room to find no sofa, no coffee pot, dirty floors, hair. We did have a private bedroom with a king sized bed, but the “living room” had a day bed with two twin beds and a queen sized bed stuffed in the corner. Nowhere to sit (unless you find it comfortable to sit on the edge of a bed) The pictures online are not accurate, the staff do not seem to know their own policies or how their rooms are set up. The bathroom had mold that appeared to have been painted over a few times and the amount of hair left on the beds and bathroom is disturbing. I would like to add that we have stayed in this hotel before in a downstairs room (captains quarters I believe) and that room was much nicer.…
Great find! Suite was large, clean, looks newly renovated. Great location to food, shops, beach. Much better than what some older photos show. Would definitely stay again. Price was right. Bright and airy.
This is in the heart of Long Beach...you can walk all over the Main Street shops and even the beach...very friendly and helpful. The rooms are in need of some serious repairs and updating but are clean and comfortable. The bathroom could use a shelf or some kind of counter...no place to even put toothpaste. We’re not busy so breakfast was a menu on paper with six or seven choices such as muffin , yogurt, milk, oatmeal and put in a basket for pickup at 8 in morning...we didn’t mind. Parking was right in front of room which was on side street.
