Our family has been coming to Long Beach for 20 years and we have stayed at the Anchorage Cottages, all except for twice. We love the location, north of the city center, and the beach access. We have stayed in 5 different cottages but #8 is our favorite. It has 2 (small) bedrooms and 1 bathroom ( that has plenty of towels). The dining and living room are both open to the kitchen. The furniture is clean and comfortable. The unit was very clean when we arrived. The fireplace ( which we normally love and use daily) was "closed" due to a need to upgrade. 😞 Parking is limited so if you are bringing more then one car, check in with the office. My only complaint is the kitchen exhaust fan is very old and barely moves any air this cooking odors are strong through out the unit. We just open multiple windows. There is nothing fancy about any of the cottages here but, for the price, they are perfect for us.…

These cottages are old, from the 1950's, but they are very well maintained. We had unit #10, with two bedrooms and a very large living room and ample kitchen. The staff are only there to clean, but they are pleasant and helpful. There are grass lawns in front and back with games laid out. The beach is a brisk 11 minute walk away. The cottages were extremely clean, and well supplied.

Conveniently located near downtown Long Beach and 1/4 mile from the beach. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable for our 3 night stay. Comfortable bed, couch, pillows and decent television with provided cable. We were thankful for the provided wood - as we had more than enough for 3 nights. We stayed over Thanksgiving and were pleased with the selection of pots and pans for cooking. My only complaints are no coffee filters for the provided coffee pot, 1/2 roll of paper towels only and no cleaning disinfectant. These items are inexpensive yet a real pain to have make a run to the grocery store to buy. Most places I have stayed at include these items.

We have stayed here a few times in the last 6-7 years. Its not fancy, but its a beach cottage, that is clean, full size fridge, microwave, and stove, dinning table. There was 2 chairs, and sofa, board games, a few puzzles, dvd player with a few dvds to watch. The unit we stayed in allowed pets. It also had a fire place, and they supplied wood as well. It has a place in the laundry room to clean your clams, which is great! Even thou we didn't get any this last time (rotten weather) We will be returning.

It's a modest, but very well-maintained property with nicely organized and effectively furnished rooms, sufficient dining spaces (both indoors and outdoors), lots of books or board-games for family entertainment and fully-functioning kitchen. It's very close to an absolutely magnificent beach strip. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and unobtrusive. Rooms can serve a larger or smaller groups, and tourists on a lookout for different kind of activities. All in all, there is nothing luxurious about these suites, however it is a neat place with heart and character.

My husband and I have been meaning to check out Long Beach Washington for a while now. We chose the Anchorage Cottages because they were dog friendly and had good reviews. The cottages were well appointed, perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. The grounds were lovely And well-maintained. The office staff were awesome especially Kira. Would definitely return.

What a wonderful surprise! My niece booked this cottage for a mini getaway. There was a real wood burning fire place with plenty of dry wood in a cute, little wood cubby, just outside the front door. The kitchen was well appointed with everything from spatulas and dinner dishes to wine glasses and a corkscrew. There was even a jar of popcorn and a popcorn maker in the cupboard! The beds were super compact and the whole place was sparkly clean! Very nicely decorated, but not overly done. There is an area for cleaning fish and clams, as wellm as a recreation room. Pets are welcome! All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely book it again!

I have stayed in several of these charming cottages for family events or planning retreats for my ladies’ group. They were once officers quarters in WWII I believe, so they have been around a while. They are comfortable, well equipped, always clean, and quaint in the best sense of the word. I slept better this last trip than I do in my own bed. The office staff has always been helpful, friendly, and accommodating. There is a dedicated room for cleaning clams, recycling, and borrowing games, videos, or books, although most of the cottages have a selection of these available as well. They have wood burning fire places and most provide some amount of firewood. Several of the units allow dogs for an additional fee. We prefer the west facing units which open to decks and a grassy lawn area. There is a lovely wooded trail to the beach that connects to a paved bike path that runs parallel to the shore, and the cottages are perhaps just about a mile to the touristy area of Long Beach. The grounds are well kept with lovely flower beds and arbors. I almost hate to give such a glowing review for fear of not being able to obtain reservations in the future. I look forward to many more memorable visits to the Anchorage Cottages.…

.the place is 2 stars on google - so you expect it to be a bit rundown- sure. Its the same price as the Breakers across the street - You should stay there They are so desperate for money that - they run this place lights out that means there is NO ONE there after 5 pm NOT at the desk or by phone No answering service nothing. We checked in and there was a sign in the window confirming our reservation and our room number - It said the room was open and we could check in tomorrow. If you have any problem with the room or the TV or the heat or anything there is nobody. They just don't care

I’m sure you may remember that next to the late arrival sign directing you to your cottage there is a larger sign with our office hours, after hours information and 2 phone numbers to call in case of emergency (we also provide a public phone in case you may have spotty cell phone coverage). This was our first time at Anchorage Cottages and it won't be our last. With the well-kept cottages with their beach-perfect decorations, the good mattress, the good path to the beach and the private outdoor decks, these cottages are so comfortable. We brought our dog as many do here and we all had fun. It's quiet here with no road noise. These cottages are very well-maintained and so clean. Our Cottage #2 had a fireplace and a nice full and well-stocked kitchen. Rooms are non-smoking but you can smoke out on the property away from the cottages so it works for everyone.
