it was our last year in the US before we had to return to India and we wanted to spend our anniversary there in a luxurious cabin in the mountains, just lazing around. This was just perfect for that. The hot tub was amazing, the breakfast and settings were cozy, i loved the feel in the room, the swing on the porch looking onto the snowcapped mountains and half frozen river .. I loved the heated flooring in the toilet, the double sink, the beautiful bed.. it was one of the best experiences of our life.. thank you Run of the River for making our anniversary so memorable ! <3

We brought friends with us to enjoy the fall colors in the Cascades and stayed at Run of the River B&B. It was our third time staying at the inn and it was another great experience. Jan and her staff serve a fabulous 4-5 course breakfast, including fresh juices, coffee, teas, and fresh fruit. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, all with a fabulous view. And then there is Nelly. Jan and Steve's 10 month old Bernese Mountain dog is a gorgeous addition to the inn. We will be back again.

We had a clean, large room, and inn is just big enough where you have company for breakfast but don't feel crowded. For those who sometimes feel a B&B is staying in someones spare room and that is too personal, this is a good cross between hotel and B&B. There is a staff that cooks and cleans so it is not the owner wearing all the hats. You miss a little of the interaction from smaller B&B's where the owner greets you after you have been out all day and reviews your day and helps set your itinerary, if that is what you are accustomed to, but a nice, well run place. We used it as a base to take days trips to Coulee Dam, Mount Rainier, and Chateau Ste Michelle winery. There was great hiking for all skill levels and we also enjoyed the reindeer farm just outside town. Beautiful

We went to Leavenworth for Oktoberfest, and lucked into a cancellation at Run of the River. The Kingfisher suite is huge, with a large private deck overlooking the river bed that flows in Spring and Fall, but in October is lush and green and gorgeous. One of the best balcony/deck views we've ever had. The room was comfortable, the fireplace was a welcome touch, and the shower is perfect for couples, or just one. Breakfast each morning was gourmet, served family style, but relaxing and casual. It's served at 9:00, which is on the later side for us. Steve and Jan are welcoming, friendly, and genuine people. If it's available we would love to stay there next visit. I can't imagine who wouldn't like this place. Check out their website to see all of the other amenities offered,

The central Cascades are breathtaking in their own right. To maximize the experience of this grand mountain range, stay at the Run of the River. The rooms - with their private decks and porch swings - are spacious and comfortable. Each has all you need for area hiking - walking sticks and back packs. Run of the River also provides you with National Forest passes that you need on some of the trails. And, to get you ready for hiking, you will enjoy a multi-course breakfast that includes breakfast dessert! Eat up - you will need the energy if you plan on hiking the moderate and difficult trails. Afternoon snack is also waiting for you when you return from your day's adventure. Run of the River also enjoys a great location - minutes away from the Bavarian town that is Leavenworth as
