What a nice place. Good to be away from downtown, if only 3 minutes away. Great location, great breakfast, great service. The room we had was real small, only 1 chair. I'd recommend if you stay, to book a larger room. Our room was constantly cold, even though it felt like air was coming out of vents. However, at night the big comforter at night felt good, until morning. I'd stay here again.

Kelly has made a special place with the Abendblume Bed and Breakfast. It has such a friendly staff and the rooms are so well appointed. We were in the Sleeping Beauty and so enjoyed sitting out on the balcony with our morning coffee and enjoyed the wonderful view. With a special coffee service available at 7:00 A.M. and other drinks available 24 hours a day it is a gem. The breakfast is exceptional with a hot dish that changes every day and many other treats to try. The raisin bread is another wow! Fresh fruit, hot cereal, yogurt, juices, different type of pastry and on and on. A special dessert in the evening ends the day. The room has a wonderful shower and the towels are top of the line. Very quiet and a great place to unwind. Kelly is a wonderful person and the one or two negative evaluations come from people that are so self centered they make themselves look like fools. Upset because some of the staff is eating in the breakfast room? Wanting to be yelling and stomping around at 1:00 A.M.? This is a classy place and guests need to be the same. We will be back next year! Kelly keep up the great work!

Beautiful inn and location! We loved sitting outside on the patio with our dessert each evening, and were fortunate enough to enjoy a delicious breakfast outside as well. We appreciated the binder of local hikes, and our little balcony was a great spot to sit as well. Being able to have a 20 minute walk into town was a huge bonus - not only did we avoid the crazy parking situation in the downtown area, but the walk is a pleasant one as well. Our only warning would be to not stay in the Brigitte room unless you like a VERY hard bed. We found it to be incredibly uncomfortable, which was surprising and disappointing given that every other aspect of the place is fantastic.

Beautiful property with a good breakfast, and cute dessert that they put out at night. We stayed in the Maiden Room, and it was too small for 2 people. If you stay here I would go for the large rooms upstairs that have the large balcony. I also recommend coming on week days! We pretty much had the place to ourselves until Saturday morning.

I've lived in Washington state 4 different times since the late 90s - How was I not aware of this stunning, divine inn? I can't believe I have missed so many opportunities to stay in this German and Austrian inspired wonderland. Perhaps I sound like I am exaggerating - I truly wish I could give Abendblume 10 stars on a scale of 1-5. I was telling some of my friends that I want to live in the inn! When you first enter, you are surrounded by a delicious, delicate floral scent - I wasn't sure what it was but it was pleasantly relaxing and refreshing. Upon entering, on the table inside the foyer are clearly designated information pages for each guest, It's a grand space highlighting the lovely curving staircase that takes you to the second floor. I had reserved the Schneewttchen ( Snow White ) Suite, which was absolutely exquisite, in shades of ivory and blue. It was a light drenched, (without direct sunlight), airy, gorgeous space. A private balcony overlooks the mountains and the valley - it extends the length of the two outside walls , with cheerful, colorful blooms in the flowerboxes also extending the length of the balcony. A cafe table and two chairs would make a lovely respite to read or just take in the dreamy landscape. The bed and linens were truly heavenly soft and sooo comfortable - the bed itself is magnificent. The sitting area has two comfy chairs and is another relaxing space. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff members I met were really, really lovely. Because it was so nice outside I asked if I could have my breakfast in an outdoor area adjacent to the living area (which is a graceful, elegant room). I felt a bit hesitant to ask because there's a delightful breakfast room, but I love to eat outside when possible, and the lady serving breakfast (so sorry that I didn't ask her name) was very gracious and accomodating. There's such an air and atmosphere of serenity, positivity and kindness. I was fortunate enough to meet Kelly before I left, and she was just as wonderful and genuine as her inn is charming, tranquil, and beguiling
