We stayed in Studio #3. It was very cozy and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The entire island experienced a major storm which cut power to everyone on Whidbey. The InnKeeper made sure to check on us often and even gave us a free bottle of wine. We look forward to going back and staying again when we can enjoy everything with the power on.

We loved the location of Boatyard Inn overlooking the water; and loved the beautiful room in which we stayed! Tastefully decorated with NW Indian drawings, lovely pillows through out and many thoughtful details everywhere we looked.

I can't think of a better place to stay in Langley! Our room/studio (#11) was a perfect home away from home! It was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need! The view is incredible!!! You are right on the water and we witnessed an amazing sunrise!! It is a bit deceiving when you drive up but everything changed when we entered our spacious room!! I cannot recommend Boatyard Inn enough!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful but #11 was larger and had two small outdoor decks.

I have to say that this was one of our loveliest trips ever, and our stay at the boatyard Inn greatly enhanced that. Even though we had an upstairs neighbor we felt very private, it was waterfront with birds outside our window. Our room had everything we needed including a freestanding tub with views of the water. It was really incredible and we enjoyed our visit so much from the moment we arrived and were offered a glass of wine checking in.

Where to begin? The moment you step inside -- actually, the moment you have your first interaction with the friendly office manager -- you know you've found someplace special. You're right on the water, overlooking a calm bay with small marina and a nice beach only steps away. Our unit was perfect for four people -- two upstairs in the loft (with its own bathroom), two downstairs with another bathroom. Spotless and comfortable in every respect. Well-equipped kitchen, plus small deck just right for four people to enjoy their breakfast and watch for seals. Minutes from the heart of Langley (charming). Your biggest problem: You won't want to leave. One caution: Our unit (Loft #4) requires walking up some stairs. If this would be a problem for you, a ground floor unit would be a better choice.

This is our second or third time staying . It is an incredible place, not only the views from the balconies but the impeccable rooms themselves! We stayed in a downstairs room right near the sand - perfection. Upstairs rooms have amazing views, too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. It's so close to the charming town of Langley, but yet so quiet and peaceful and relaxing. We could have just stared at the views of the water, mountains, and wildlife all day. We especially loved watching the sunrise over the Cascade mountains. Beds were super comfortable, nice fireplace, good TV and wifi, and lots of great books available for reading. The unit was clean and well equipped for a short escape from the desert heat. We also enjoyed the welcome glass of wine and little basket of treats. The lovely, super friendly lady at the front desk was extremely helpful with information about where to go for runs/hikes, places for dinner and ferry advice. The only thing I would change is to maybe have an oven in the unit so next time we could stay for a week or longer.

We were fortunate to get a single-night stay at the Boatyard Inn after a last-minute change in travel plans. What a find! This charming inn offers beautiful views of the sound, great amenities, and a wonderful staff. Our studio was well appointed and so convenient, with a nice kitchen, elevated bed, and comfortable living room with gas fireplace. Small touches made such a great impression, from the wine in the lobby at happy hour to snacks in the room and excellent coffee for the coffeemaker. The deck is the perfect place to enjoy evening views (Penny the seal made an occasional appearance along with a whale blowing near the pier) and the morning sunrise--the deck faces east. Abby, our receptionist, was so friendly and welcoming. Also, the inn is walking distance from downtown Langley. We chose to stop at the local grocery store for dinner/breakfast provisions--their deli has a wonderful selection of prepared foods.

Our stay at the Boatyard Inn was spectacular. Check-in was fast and easy, the room was clean and spacious and there was a complimentary snack basket waiting for us, the bathroom was just WOW! We spent a lot of time on the little private patio overlooking the water, what a view! The walk to downtown just took a minute or two, and there is a great kayak/paddle board rental spot right next to the Inn which we took advantage of. Getting to Whidbey from Seattle took less than an hour including the drive and ferry, so we are very much looking forward to returning and staying at Boatyard Inn again.

Really special place to spend time with significant other/partner. Could’ve spent all day in our room looking at water and mountain views. Also quick walk into a neat little seaside town of Langley. Tons of neat shops and great restaurants. Perfect long weekend trip.
