We stayed on the second floor, and the view was wonderful. Although, it is an expensive place, the quality of everything was outstanding. It is also very clean. The decor is tasteful. There is no clutter which I very much appreciate. We did have a problem finding a restaurant open Sunday evening.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your generous review of the Boatyard Inn on TripAdvisor. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope the next time you are in the area, we can welcome you again. This was a last minute reservation and the Inn did not disappoint. The lovely room had an amazing view of the calm Whidbey Island water ways and it had all the amenities that you look for in a highly rated destination. A beautiful basket of complimentary treats adorned the room and the nicely appointed soft goods made this a quaint... More

Please accept my personal apology for your recent disappointing experience at the Boatyard Inn. I am aware that Mynda, our innkeeper of sixteen years, subsequently sent you an email acknowledging the errors on our part that unfortunately created your distressing experience as well as the lapse in customer service following the events. I have cut and pasted Mynda’s comments below... More

We stayed on the second floor with a spectacular view of the water (you're right on top of it) and the Cascade mountains. The room was as nice a room as you'll find anywhere. Beautiful wood furniture and trim, Northwest Indian art, a big comfortable bed, a dining area, a full equipped kitchen, a living area with about a hundred... More

Your lovely review of the Boatyard Inn is so appreciated. You must have stayed in Driftwood Suite 12, one of our two superior Driftwood Suites, that as you pointed out, features two private decks including small gas grill. It is cantilevered over the beach and has unobstructed views of the Cascade Mountains and Saratoga Passage. And yes, my husband is... More

The Boatyard Inn is a fabulous place to stay in the awesome village of Langley. The staff at the front desk are reason enough, but then you get to your room! Our room was just beautiful! And the setting! Everything was perfect and WELL WORTH the price of admission! Modern yet beachy, perfectly clean and wonderfully decorated! We couldn't have... More

We can’t thank you enough for your enthusiastic response to our inn! As a small business, we rely on word of mouth to get the word out about our little piece of paradise along the water’s edge of Saratoga Passage here on Whidbey Island. We are especially pleased that you are considering a longer stay in the future which will... More

We stayed at the Boatyard Inn so our adult children could attend a wedding on Whidbey. We, however, were content to never leave the deck. We prefer smaller places to stay and this one is in our top 3. Loft #6 is beautifully adherent to the theme of the PNW. It blends in beautifully with the location by the docks,... More

What a thorough and amazing review you have blessed us with. (May I dare say, “well done!?”) You pointed out so many of the features our guests appreciate about our little inn…of course most notably, the cantilevered decks that take advantage of our waterfront location. And your nod to our wonderful staff is greatly appreciated. We hope we will in... More

Spent 4 nights in the Marina room. One of the most beautiful and best rooms we've ever had. Large. Luxurious. View to die for. Service at front desk super friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was a bit...erratic...but it didn't harm the overall experience. Just loved it.

How generous of you to give us a 5-star rating even though housekeeping during your stay was not up to our standards. In a subsequent apology to you, our innkeeper Mynda expressed our appreciation for you taking the time to share specifics to ensure our quality level is consistently 100% as we enter the busy summer season. I understand that... More

Providing top-notch hospitality is our number-one goal, and we appreciate your letting us know we succeeded during your recent visit to the Boatyard Inn. This time of year extreme low tides offer opportunities to beachcomb right in front of your private deck. If you’d rather get even closer to the water, rent a kayak next door and explore the wonders... More

This darling place was recently reviewed in my local newspaper, and the review inspired me to try The Boatyard Inn for an anniversary getaway. After looking at the website, I still couldn't decided which room I wanted, so I called the Inn, and they helped me decide. I chose the loft although we didn't need the extra room. This was... More

Thank you for your enthusiastic comments about the Boatyard Inn. We were so pleased that the recent (April 17) SEATTLE TIMES article featuring the Boatyard Inn as one of the “three great little inns on Whidbey Island” prompted your visit. Your room tip about “no elevators, so ask for a ground floor unit if necessary,” was a good one. We... More

Understated and supremely comfortable. Walk to Langley's movie theatre and/or wine shoppe. On the water as in high tide is at your door. Fully outfitted for an effortless stay. Book ahead and choose your room -- they are all unique.

This place is fabulous! We had a gorgeous view with a loft. There were 2 queen size beds and 2 full bathrooms for plenty of space to yourself.
