Best Place to be on Whidbey! Each room was personalized with the towels being folded into different animals. Kristy is one of the best hosts I have ever had in the bed and breakfast market. Their home made tea time and breakfast were a stand out. There are plenty of shops nearby and I cant wait to come back to explore Langley again. Thanks a bunch Saratoga!

Had an amazing experience with my wife. We came to visit my mother and father, as they’ve lived here their whole lives. Living in Arizona for the last 15 years really changed my perspective on this charming island. When we came to check in we were greeted with a friendly face and a warm welcome from kristy, the manager. She gave a very detailed tour of the inn and answered every question we had without asking. As we were shown to our room which had the most beautiful view (room7 with a lovey balcony) kristy made us feel very comfortable as if we’re home. After getting settled and headed towards tea time (which I recommend NOT missing) we were greeted by the housekeepers who were so kind and offered to get us anything we needed while we’re visiting. If I remember right,I believe their names were Drew and Mira. We enjoyed tea time and went off to sleep one of the best night sleeps we’ve had in a long time. We really enjoyed having a lit fire place to cozy up to. The large choice of movies to pick from really added to the experience. In the morning, we were woken up to the smell of coffee cake and coffee, what an amazing smell to wake up to and I remember it so clearly still. We got coffee and was greeted by Drew who served us our breakfast. We enjoyed seeing staff doing different jobs around the inn, it made it feel more like a home. Our stay was quite magical and we’re grateful to have found such a wonderful place to visit while visiting.

Overall the rooms were very clean, especially the bathrooms. The bed was made beautiful which made the room stand out even more. We’ll be back again and again. Thank you Saratoga team for a wonderful stay.

Solid A on the big 3! (Excellent location, Excellent bed, Excellent service). This is a charming retreat with stunning views of the Saratoga Passage and the Cascade Mountains. Its a got a cozy ambiance, very clean and has the thoughtful amenities experienced inn keepers are known for (from fireplaces, soaking tubs, and private balconies to all the little touches that helped us enjoy the stay). We felt welcome and well cared for.

The complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea featured a delicious array of homemade pastries, fresh fruit, and savory dishes. The inn's common areas, including a lovely parlor and rockers on the front porch provided perfect spots for relaxation and taking in the scenery. We were there at the time of the fair and the parade came right in front of the inn.

Its convenient location in Langley offers easy access to local shops, galleries, and restaurants, enhancing the walkable small town experience. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in September.
The Inn is well located right on the edge of the little town, so you can easily walk to anything.
The Inn has that lovely late 19th early 20th century feel, but fully modern and meticulously clean. There is a nice sitting room (Living Room) with a fireplace, books and current issue of the Seattle Times. There are also two additional rooms with tables and chairs that you could choose to sit at for breakfast or for dining on your “take away” food.
We stayed in room #7 which in on the second floor and has a little balcony and view of the water.l. King bed + 2 sitting chairs and ottoman. The room is adequately furnished with small hanging clothes area and generous chest of drawers. No bathtub but very nice shower and nice large sink. We found the bed and bedding to be very comfortable. Pillows a little too large for our taste, but otherwise very comfortable. Lovely room. The only comment I would add is if you like to sleep with windows open (like we do) there is a little bit of street noise. Not much, but a little.

Staff is there to provide anything you may need and answer any questions. They serve light hors d’oeuvres and little pastries and wine between 4-5 pm, all complimentary. And breakfast is also complimentary and served between 8 and 10 am. You do not want to miss it. Both mornings cut fruit, fruit juice, yogurt and berries, some kind of breakfast pastry plus some kind of egg dish. First morning was a delicious Roulade and the next Poached Eggs with potatoes and spinach. Yum
Coffee, tea and iced water are out all day long for you to help yourself. And if you are driving an E car, there appeared to be 2 stations in the parking lot.
If you are looking for a lovely place to getaway in Langley, this is the place.

I have never written a negative review, but had to share to help others avoid this place: The Innkeepers are extremely rude, negative, and judgmental. We were asked to leave because my 16 yr old daughter got chocolate on a chair. The woman told us we got chocolate on a chair in the library. My daughter assumed the room with shelves of books was the library and told me she hadn't been in that room. So, I told the woman my daughter didn't go in that room. She passive aggressively snapped back, " I literally saw them on the security camera get chocolate on the chair." So the room without books is the library and indeed my daughter did get chocolate accidentally on a chair with food that was served in that room. We also moved a dining chair less than one foot over to accommodate a table of 3 and the woman sprinted over with her pursed face to exclaim, " We do not move furniture!" She was on the attack at all times. The creepy husband asked me to step outside with him one on one to ask for us to leave the inn. I have to reiterate we were friendly, pleasant, quiet, smiling guests the whole time. Perhaps he's had other guests shout and yell at him (understandably) , so wanted to ensure the other guests weren't disturbed. I didn't stand up for myself because my jaw was on the floor. I was too shocked to know how to respond. Additionally, the innkeepers were charging the incorrect cc which they said was my fault. I don't have a cc ending in the numbers they were trying. Instead of trying to figure it out with me, they told me I didn't have enough money to stay there. So there I was with my 2 daughters on our first day of summer vacation and no place to stay. (Thousands of miles from home.) We pieced together 6 nights at different hotels and created a wonderful vacation in spite of being kicked out of the Saratoga inn on our first day. The woman is hateful and spiteful and I still can't wrap my head around the ugliness she spewed at us. I paid $385 to be harassed by this awful couple. Avoid them at all costs. By the way- she got the chocolate off the chair easily. I do highly recommend Captain Whidbey Inn, Ship Harbor Inn, Grand Hyatt in Seattle. No problem with my cc being charged at each of these fine establishments.

Response from General Manager, Innkeeper at Saratoga Inn
Responded Aug 10, 2024
Erin, thank you for taking the time to bring to our attention your experience at the Saratoga Inn. I would like to apologize for any confusion regarding our policies. We do ask that children of any age are not left unattended in the common areas. This was communicated prior to your arrival and again at the time of check in. We are a small Inn that prides itself on peace and tranquility, this is a promise we make to our guests and we were only trying to communicate with you how we could best work together for the enjoyment of all guests. It is unfortunate that whomever made your reservation for you, did so using a card that you did not have access to, or were unfamiliar with? It is unfortunate that we were not able to gain authorization for the total cost of your stay. Bust most unfortunate is the fact that you were not able to enjoy our beautiful village and peaceful experience. We are glad you were able to find accommodations at these other great properties and were still able to enjoy your time on beautiful Whidbey Island. We are glad you made it home safely and wish you the best.

I will always remember rounding the bend into downtown Langley and getting a first glimpse at the Saratoga Inn. It was picturesque and beautifully decorated for the holidays. My friend and I checked in at the front desk and were given a quick tour of the hotel and our rooms.

I had the perfect room on the second floor with a windowsill nook to lounge in, overlooking the water. The bed was very comfortable and the gas fireplace added to the coziness. Another advantage of this room was I could smell breakfast wafting up the stairs. Chef prepared a delicious warm meal of quiche and sides each morning with assorted breads, jams, and juices. They also serve tea each evening.

The Saratoga Inn is located perfectly within easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in downtown Langley. Also, the proprietors, Kristy and Jason, were so welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return one day.

I booked in for a girl's weekend out and was so happy that I chose the Saratoga Inn. The hosts are so welcoming and kind, they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. There's a lovely "tea time" gathering with wine and hors d'oeuvres and coffee, tea and cocoa are available all day and night.
Our room had a lovely fireplace and a TV & DVD player, with DVDs available in the library by the lobby. They also have board games you can borrow. We were there in the winter, but would love to go back in the spring or summer to take advantage of the chairs on the small balcony outside the room, which looks out on the water and the town. Breakfast was included and was marvelous. We were offered a choice of two kinds of quiches which were accompanied by fresh fruit, potatoes, orange juice and the most delicious coffee cake! There's parking on the property, which is really convenient, and it's just a short walk into the heart of town. You can't do better than the Saratoga Inn for a delightful stay in Langley!

Saratoga Inn is perfection! Gorgeous property, inviting covered front porch with comfy rockers, beautifully appointed in every way…sheer luxury with Island vibe. The owners are charming, gracious and attentive to every need. The afternoon tea is extensive and delicious and includes an impressive array of beverages including wine. The breakfast was yummy and beautifully presented. The rooms are extremely comfortable and include every amenity you can think of! We were impressed at every turn. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to this beautiful island which can’t come soon enough💕.

Breakfast is served buffet style with various table opportunities for eating in the dining room or at several two person tables in the common area. During the summer season, many guests take their breakfast on either the front porch, with excellent high bluff views of the sea and Cascade Mountains or n the back deck for some late morning sunshine.
