I am with Medicins Sans Frontieres, Doctors Without Borders....and Hotel Planter is our go to place, Our slice of heaven, and where we come to find peace in these troubling times. I will be returning on July 26th 2020 and after being and working on "The Mercy ship" this is just what I need. You are safe and the rooms are adorable and a courtyard to enjoy your glass of wine, or walk out your door to the bakery and bring it back to your courtyard. So refreshing to get out of town and have this SAFE place to go to avoid the city and be right in the area to walk and get a bite to eat! Most of all.....They are always there for us/me! You will always have a pleasant person who goes out of their way to make you feels special. I can't want to get to my SAFE place in and do my walking and just plain enjoy a very special place in the COVID TIME!!! Hope to see you there! I know most of you are afraid to travel at this time, but this is your answer.....but it is the best kept secret! Be Safe and Enjoy my very special place for MY DOWN time and get out of the city time!

My mom and I were in town for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival and decided to stay at Hotel Planter. I'm so happy we chose it! It was one of the most charming hotels I've ever stayed in and had so much character. Our room had a street view, and was decorated adorably. We got in late, and the woman at the front desk (I wish we had caught her name) was so welcoming and sweet! She made us feel right at home, and was so personable. It is on the main street, and is within walking distance of anything you would need. Also, it was really quiet at night! We went down to the courtyard the next morning, and it was so peaceful and serene. We only stayed one night, but are planning on making another trip to La Conner this fall and will be definitely staying at Hotel Planter. Thank you for making our trip so special!

This was our second stay at the Planter and it didn't disappoint. We come from Vancouver BC for the tulips in the spring, have a meal on the channel and stay at the Planter. The staff are friendly, the place is quaint, quiet, and old fashioned in a very good way. As long as you don't mind carrying your bag up a flight of steps to the reception, you are bound for a nice stay.

In town across from bakery. You’ll be up and at em in no time and out to join the wild life of the valley. I used to watch the turkeys line up at the bakery back when they were still part of the town. Not fancy or anything. Just convenient. Clean. Jacuzzi. Marina blocks away. Tulips, swans, I saw 3000 swans the other day. No snow geese though? It’s a fertile valley brought to you by snow geese. So where are they? 55,000 land here annually.
