I have been to the Woodmark Hotel many times over the past 25 years. We hosted my daughter's bat mitzvah here. Weddings. Stays. Parties. Dining. Drinks. Corporate events. ... This hotel has very nice redone common areas. The thing is -- there is NO bar. NO room service. And, the nearby places close at 9:00 p.m. It is a shell of a hotel with nothing else. Oh, and they charge a $25 "resort fee". Go figure.
Just finished a one night staycation at the Woodmark Hotel. What a delight. Beautiful location on Lake Washington. We were greeted with glasses of bubbly, and they even accommodated slightly early check-in. Serene, luxurious lobby with lake views. Our room also had a lake view (no balcony, too cold in Nov). Incredibly comfortable beds, and so peaceful. They had firepits down below, and a nice boat dock area to stroll around. We ate at Le Grand Bistro in the complex, which was excellent. Also enjoyed the Starbucks and Carillon Kitchen (host at the Como Italian, however, was quite rude when we walked in carrying our coffees, snapped "no outside food"). Got a spectacular sunset. Free snacks pantry at night wearing hotel bathrobes was fun! In warmer weather there are free bikes and kayaks. There is a mini fridge, but no free breakfast. The Carillon bells do ring every half and hour, but not overnight. :-) You also pay $23 for parking and a $25 resort fee, but that's the price for luxury, I suppose.…
Impossible to plan an event there. We called, emailed and even physically stopped at the hotel to book over $40k worth of rooms and food over two days for later November/December this year. The front desk was not allowed to show us any facilities and even after calling sales multiple times, we never got a response. Fail.
We travel a lot both professionally and as a family, so we understand what great looks like. We spent two nights in a Junior Suite as a part of a wedding party whose reception was at the hotel. The event itself was fantastic, but guest services were borderline rude and the room - at $750 per night - was lackluster at best. Take my advice and chose one of the many other properties available on the lake. They’ll take better care of you.
The Woodmark was a truly wonderful place to stay. My wife and I were only able to stay one night, and we were sad to leave. A beautiful property, with classy rooms and special attention every detail. The night time food pantry made this one of my favorite places to stay ever! Thank you Woodmark.
One of the best hotels in all my travels included international travels. Quality, amazing staff, great rooms and hotel amenities. Most of all, I enjoyed the view of lake Washington, the beauty of gorgeous sunset from my room. Just walking in the hotel garden by the lake is enough to get you to relax and feel very peaceful. Hotel restaurants and very convenient parking among many other amenities I did enjoy. In short, an almost perfect hotel for an amazing vacation, and again most amazing lake view!
Twice I was told when I asked for a wheelchair, both times it didn’t materialize. The staff was cold and unwelcome and I left before being able to enjoy any of it, not even the tub in my suite. It strikes me as a management issue. Left to find a place on Father’s Day.
Excellent staff at front desk upon our arrival- rooms were small but super clean and beautiful views. Great location. Would definitely come back when the weather is nicer to enjoy a walk by the lake. Como restaurant next door delicious.
I surprised my husband with a stay at the Woodmark for our anniversary weekend. It was very nice to have the balcony overlooking the lake and to have everything contained within the area so you don’t have to leave at all. Dinner at Como was nice. The remodel/construction wasn’t disruptive or loud during our stay. It would have been 5 stars if there had been a hot tub and/or pool in the fitness center.
Expensive considering the hotel was under renovations. Did not make a good impression so won’t go back. Lots of other nice places to stay nearby. Did not like our experience at the Beach Cafe restaurant either. Staff was rude, except the bartender was cool.
